Providence St. Vincent Medical Center

Best hospital in the PDX metro area. I am so impressed with how clean this hospital is, how genuinely kind and caring the nurses and staff are, and the variety and quality of yummy food you wouldn't typically expect from a hospital. I have been to both OHSU and Legacy in North Portland and while the others are excellent as well, this is by far has an edge.

Fantastic calm setting, a friendly nursing and therapy staff. I will be taking ALL of my business to Providence from now on.

After OHSU put someone on a bus to nowhere, I am quite jaded. Shout out to the excellent staff of Jobriath and Alena for helping our family put the pieces together. They saved our livelihood.

Awesome staff that LISTENS and helps no matter how bad you may look. OHSU can learn a thing or two.

I've been having some health issues over the past few years and have had my share of stays at St. Vincent's... most recently, two multi-day stays in the IMCU this month alone, and a third visit but wasn't admitted. So you could say I've had a lot of interactions with the staff here, and I have to say that they are beyond 5 stars. Everyone treats you with dignity, they're polite, friendly, and very approachable. If you ask about your treatment, they'll stop and take the time to thoroughly answer your questions, and never seem annoyed or put out when you do. I really can't say enough good things about this hospital and its staff... they've literally been a life saver for me on more than one occasion, and they did it while treating me like part of their family.

Also, their food is actually really good and nutritious!

I've been to the hospital with my husband more times this year than I'd like for sure. Including the ER twice. I really appreciate the quality care from all the folks in the ER, doctors, nurses, cardiologists, etc. 90% of the staff was excellent and there was only one bad nurse and one sub par doctor the entire time. Some went the extra mile to make us feel safe and comfortable, despite being extremely busy and stressed. In particular one of the ER nurses was so caring he stopped in after his shift to check on my husband and tell us goodbye. I hope that someday we can have universal healthcare and everybody get the care they need without worrying about finances. Oh, and I really enjoyed the vegan breakfast burritos in the cafeteria, it made my time there waiting for my husband to recover much more enjoyable.

Incredibly organized, staffed by elite professionals. My recent heart procedure went very smoothly. From admittance to discharge everything was on time. Parking was good

St. Vincent Hospital&Medical Center has been in Sw Washington County for a very long time now. In my opinion, one of the surrounding area's best hospital's to receive emergency medical care from. Thanks St. V's

Had a surgical procedure in the morning and later in the evening I had symptoms of concern that needed to be checked by an ultrasound test. The admission nurse got another nurse to do the test. All in span of ten minutes and no charge! These two women were amazing!

I have been to this hospital for surgery, for tests and twice in my life for emergency care. I have always been treated with respect. There have been challenges as a result of construction but they are expected with construction.

In the emergency room I was triaged immediately: blood taken and vitals checked. My wait was long but many people were coming in with more immediate needs. I would expect them to be taken first. [note: I do think that they receive a high volume of patients and that with an increasing population their needs to be either a larger facility, an additional one ] When I was taken to a room the nursing staff was compassionate and helped alleviate my fears. I felt that all the tests were run that should have been. I am pleased to have this care center in my community.

Went here with a friend who needed stitches in her lip... The attending nurse and doctor got her stitched up nicely, and we were done.... The total time was right around 2 hrs... Keep in mind we arrived at 11 pm and out the door of the ER a little after 1 am....

Everyone in Labor & Delivery was wonderful before, during, and after my scheduled c-section. They were great at accommodating my fragrance/chemical sensitivities and adhering to my very detailed care plan. All of the nurses who cared for me were amazing. I'm so thankful to have had such wonderful care after welcoming our son into the world.

Nicole, Heidi, Sofía, Cindy are great persons. They were really supportive with us.

I just spent 4 off the most difficult panel days in my life.
EVERY step from the first time I was sedated thru my meals, clean up transportation ( Mr C ) safe trips thank you. I the staff at every single level has treated myself And’ my families scares and concerns with nothing but respect and concern. You truly felt like your friends worth the owner.

There are ZERO words I’m able to put together to express the thanks I have to them ALL for what they have done (fyi the surgeon…. With out being asked, he performed his incision so well you will not be able to tell I have been cut he hid them in the ink lines) again ZERO words to say thank you.

I've been going here for years. I have no inclination to change. Best doctors and staff in the PNW.

It was good. Concedering it's a hospital nice and clean. They took great care of me for 8 months.

Had my first born at St. Vincent labor and delivery, she was preterm and all the staff were super nice and helpful. Walked me through all the procedures of what will happen. Getting ready to have my second baby and going back for the wonderful service!

Excellent care. Nurses were very caring and were able to answer questions about my care. Would recommend this hospital to anyone. Dr. Sales was there to answer questions prior to procedure. The anesthesiologist also was helpful. All the staff were very professional.

Went there for abdominal pain. Never had any serious health issues so I wasn't expecting anything, but apparently my gallbladder was causing me issues and needed to be removed after looking at an ultrasound. To be fair it was a lot of waiting around but they're extremely busy people.

I'm most appreciative of how they went above and beyond with my treatment, I had no idea where to start but they set me up with the ultrasound, ekg and constant care until I was diagnosed and operated on the next day. All of my nurses were kind and attentive and all the staff was wonderful. Thank you for the care!

It used to be very confusing to me. It is so big and I was used to Providence Portland. But living on the west side, I now find it very easy to access.

I love this hospital. I trust this place.
I'm in and out of the er a lot. But every time I come here I feel like I'm being listened to. Like I'm being treated like a person not a pay check. The Doctors and nurses are so nice and easy to talk to. Plus the food u get when u stay I'd pretty good. Only hospital I know that can mac and cheese with out making it watery.
