Olde Main Street Pub

We just stopped in for a few drinks in the evening. The place was super cool and right across from our hotel, The Hawthorne. The staff were cordial and full of life. Good vibes and loved the beer selections. I felt the prices were adequate and it was right in the heart of the area for walking and sight seeing. We enjoyed our leisurely time there.

The lunch menu is small, but the food is amazing. Great little place with delicious drinks. Great atmosphere. We had the fish and chips, BLT, chicken sandwich, and Mac n cheese. Delicious!!!

We went in really not expecting much, just another bar. The staff, great. Food, great. We got the mushroom stew to start, which was the only some what disappointing thing. Not worth the cost, start with something else. Still tasty, but just not worth the price. Then we got the fish tacos and steak sandwich. Oh my gosh, was I surprised. The tacos were SO FLAVORFUL! The steak sandwich was SUPER delicious. We will be back.

We stopped in after a ghost tour. The kitchen was open for about another half an hour. The service was friendly and not too fast or slow. The food was amazing. My younger son had an amazing burger. The older son enjoyed the bangers and mash. The half chicken I ordered was amazing and came with asparagus and a few onion rings. My husband enjoyed his salmon as well. So glad we ended our day in Salem at Olde Maine Street Pub. We wa t to return to Salem and we will for sure make a return visit to this lovely pub, too.

Oh...and the brussel sprouts appetizer was wonderful!!!!❤❤❤❤

The food is just so good! If you come to Salem, please go to the Olde Main Street Pub. You will not be disappointed.

Eric, our server, was so much fun, even though he isn't a native Bostonian,lol. We enjoyed being in the heart of Salem while having a delicious meal.

The half of chicken dish was very moist, and I'm not sure how they got the skin so crispy, but it was amazing. Tasted like an upscale Thanksgiving dinner. We also had their signature burger, and the smoky flavors with bacon permeated our car with our leftovers. The fries are a must!!! Get them on the side if they don't come with your meal.

Move onto the street corn. SPEECHLESS! Hands down the best I have ever had. Obsessed with the tiny onion straws on top of it. I would have licked the plate clean if I didn't have any manners.

Wanted to have a few drinks at a pub less than 1/2 mile from the oyster bar and found a really good one just a few blocks away. Olde Main Street Pub was like a cozy neighborhood pub with great atmosphere and dim lighting just to add to the mystique. Friendly patrons and good conversation at the bar. Stop in for a pint and a shot for sure!

Excellent place! Everything we tried was fantastic (fish tacos, steak sandwich, corn), our server was truly exceptional, and the atmosphere is truly fun and relaxed.
Stop here if you're in Salem!

A nice pub in Salem! Good atmosphere, delicious food and nice selection of drinks. The fish and chips were delicious and filling!

I ate here twice while in Salem. Perfect pub atmosphere, great food, excellent drink choices, and a great place to take a break while exploring Salem. It is in the very heart of walking all the sights.

The lunch menu was limited but what they had was AWESOME! The French fries are to die for, hands down the best I've ever had. We had the BLT and fish n chips and it was great.

This pub is a great place to drop in for lunch or supper, or just to have drink or two and chat it up with others!
We had cocktails and beer here both on the sidewalk patio as well as inside the bar section. Service was wonderful as far as drinks go-we had dessert only (bread pudding) and it was wonderful.
No parking in the immediate area as it is right downtown Salem, Ma., and so many ppl walk. Stop in and enjoy!

Amazing pub. It was warm and cozy on a cold Salem March day, and all the food we ordered was out of this world delicious (fish and chips, shepherd's pie, beef stew). Great service, and great pub tunes playing. A truly memorable experience.

We ordered the fish & chips (absolutely delicious) and the burger (also good). The main dining room has wood paneling and bench seating, it's everything you want an old New England pub to look like. The staff was friendly, service quick. A great dinner stop!

Amazing food and service. From what I can tell.. everything made from scratch, even burger buns. Recommend big time!! Get the antipasti that is Burrata.

Steak tips, pan seared salmon, and Shepard's pie were all amazing! Service was quick and our server was very kind. Our second time coming here and we'll definitely be back soon.

First of all, the Salmon = BUSSIN I'm talking Absolutely Superb! Legit the best Salmon I've ever had, nearly brought me to tears. Everything else on the plate was awesome as well and when you pair them up MMM! Molto Bene! *Chef's kiss*

To reiterate, I have been to esteemed seafood restaurants and I have NEVER had salmon that good until I came here.

Only came in for a drink before we returned to our hotel across the street. The bartender was very nice. There was a good selection of drinks for a small bar area. Seemed old and historic. Definitely would come back for some food.

We had a wonderful server and got a suggestion for a light day drink .Burger was cooked to perfection and very tasty .Loved the atmosphere. Recommend ☆☆☆☆☆

Make sure you come in early enough for food, the kitchen closes at 9:30p, because it's top notch! Our bartender/server Eric was fun and talkative, which is always a plus for me, but the food was the feature here. I ordered the Potato Gnocchi and it was by far the best I've ever had!!!! The tomatos were perfectly sweet, the gnocchi were just the right mix between soft and firm, and the cheese was a great balance to bring it all together. My wife got the steak tips which were cooked to perfection and came with house mashed potatoes that left you wanting more. Large beer, whiskey/brandy/bourbon, and cocktail selection made it easy to find a drink to compliment the food.

Wonderfull food and great service.

The smoked gouda and goat cheeze friters melt in your mouth!

The Potato Gnocchi and the Chicken O'Brandy were very good and filled us both up.
