Il Montebello Restaurant

We had our company Christmas Party there. Everything was great. Amazing food & drinks( best espresso martini I’ve ever had), the staff were attentive and pleasant. I look forward to going again for dinner soon. Thank You from Jamie and the staff of Shoreline Pools!

Every single dish was made to perfection. Maybe I didn't like the dessert special so much but:

1) Fried Calamari: breaded beautifully, the calamari was juicy and not chewy, the tomato sauce with just the right amount of acidity.

2) Hawaiian Pizza: a bit of a sacrilege to have pineapples on pizza, but you know when you see it - it's homemade, the dough is fresh, the ham amazingly crispy.

3) Striped Bass: Don't ask them to debone it for you for they'll take away the crispy bits which we liked! But the fish was fresh, spinach seasoned perfectly.

4) Fruti di Mare: All the seafood was on point. No fishy smell, linguine was freshly made.

No regrets coming here! I'd come here again and again

Ok - so maybe you’re going to have to wait for your table for possibly an unreasonable amount of time. What’s your hurry?! Go to McD’s then. But if you want excellent Italian fare mid-Cape, Il Montebello is the spot. Not what you’d expect from a golf course club house on the Cape....

This is a great restaurant. The waitstaff and food are delicious. Our drinks were amazing. Thank you to our Waiter/bartender could not ask for better service.

One of our favorite places. Food is always wonderful. Our server, Nicholas, was outstanding. We had a party of 13. He set up the table so that everyone could see and talk to each other .No small feat. He never missed a detail.

I can’t say enough about this place I visit the Cape about six times a year and I stop by for dinner every time. I haven’t had a bad meal once and I am treated like royalty personally by the owner a bit pricey, but well worth it after the meal, you get a complementary homemade Lemoncello shot.

I have to say that this is the best Italian food I’ve had since moving out of New York City. Best I’ve had on the Cape and better than any restaurant in the North End of Boston. They use quality ingredients and the food is consistently good. The staff are very accommodating and will go above and beyond. It’s nice that Montebellos is tucked away with an awesome view of the golf course. You don’t feel like you are caught up in the tourist traps of the Cape and rarely have to deal with long waits. But if you do, it’ll be worth it!

Good! Linguini & Clam Sauce, Chicken Napolitano and Chicken Picatta 2nd best. Our server was attentive but not overbearing or rushing us. I will be back!

I don't know where to start. The appetizers were phenomenal And they give you a lot. The dinner was the same a lot of food top notch. It says expensive but it's not really that expensive. The drinks are a good portion. And the desserts are a big menu. All homemade.

Never had a bad meal here. There are many choices that would make almost anyone happy. All the staff are fantastic and friendly. Upscale and a little pricey, but worth it. The views are great as well in the spring and summer.

Excellent food and friendly very professional service in a lovely setting. We enjoy the main dining room or the tavern, each with its own ambience. Two favorites are the whole bronzino beautifully filleted for you and the pastas bolognese with such authentic flavor. Great pizza and salads as well.

Had no idea Il Montebello was a Country Club/Golf Course restaurant. Unimpressed with an Italian near our hotel, we thought we'd try somewhere different this time. Cannot recommend enough, great food, great service. Highly recommend.

The staff was so friendly, the food was over the top! I got the chicken special, very tasty the mashed potatoes-so good. My husband got a fish dinner it had a whole lobster, calamari, clams with the best fettuccine. We had mentioned it was our wedding anniversary and the staff surprised us with a song and carrot cake. So wonderful. We will definitely be going back. A+ experience.

Excellent menu. The staff is great and food is fabulous. Consider this restaurant when in the area. Perfectly cooked pasta and good wine selection by the bottle.

Always our to go to place for Italian. Not many customers for a Saturday. Also love the desserts.

We ate here as a large party for Christmas Eve dinner. We had all selected a Italian Dish until they came up with the specials. I had rack of lamb which was excellent and it was quite a surprise to get a good portion size of 5-6 ribs instead of just two or three lollipops that I've had at most other restaurants. I'd seen other reviews stating that a dinner is going to take an hour and a half to two and a half hours I find that an accurate assessment.

This was a new find for us on Cape and by far is the best Italian on Cape, coming from someone whom is 100% Italian those are quite the accolades. From the drinks thru desert everything was top notch, I can't say enough about this place except to try the veal and the ravioli.

Menu and food were fantastic. Staff is friendly and attentive. They like many places this year are understaffed but the wait time was well spent with each other.
