A Northside institution. Hadn't been there for years but I heard their clam chowder was excellent, so I had to stop in. It was, so I bought a couple of cans to take back to Florida with me. What a neat place, very nostalgic. When I asked if the old soda fountain had always been where it was, the owner showed me that my memory was pretty accurate, as he had moved it to its current location after a car crashed into the building. Great time, discussing old Yarmouth history and people. If you find yourself driving alon 6A, stop in, get a sandwich and a frappe or milkshake, and think back on simpler times. And pick up a xan of delicious clam chowder.

Great homemade ice cream, very pleasant owner, all at a family owned store that had been passed over generations. Must visit!

P.s. - Not sure why these whiny 1-star reviews are posted. Instead of supporting a local business that sells homemade ice cream, a small number of individuals seem to think they are at corporate Friendly’s. The cups are not recyclable, the man is not friendly enough, the maple ice cream does not have nuts, one scoop is $5, there wasn’t a dog and a pony show. Grow up. It takes time and effort to make. So stop ruining the reputation of a business 130 years old.

Quite possibly the best ice cream around. Truly a real treat. The mocha chocolate chip is fantastic.

We come from Dennis where we are close to another cape favorite. We like Sunday School, but love the ice cream here.

This is the epitome of old soda shops. My family has been working, owning, for generations. If you love home made ice cream with a large side of nostalgia and history, this is the place to go!

Hallet”s is open again after being closed last season. Don’t miss the chance to visit this piece of authentic Americana. I enjoyed a hot fudge sundae with mocha chip. The owner was making a fresh batch of rum raisin when we were there.
