Absolutely fabulous!!! (I'd give ten stars if I could.) Every detail of the decor was perfect, food tasted superb as well as beautifully presented and impeccable service from Joseph, our server, made our first visit to Scargo Cafe truly memorable! My friend and I are both on-Cape locals and plan spread the word that there is no better dining experience than Scargo Cafe!

Our group of 4 visited the Scargo Cafe as newcomers, and the experience was even better than we had heard! First off, the Cape in early-March is practically shutdown for the winter, so finding an open restaurant is a challenge in itself. But not only was Scargo Cafe open, it was a quite filled with customers. Nonetheless, the service was prompt, friendly and experienced. Drinks orders were taken within a couple minutes and delivered soon thereafter (nice selection of wines and draft beers!). The menu had a wide diversity of choices, quite impressive. We ordered the special beef stir fry, grilled swordfish with rice/asparagus, and shrimp asian salad (w/ almonds+cranberries). Topped off by grape-nut custard (a house specialty). Everything was excellent and filling. Will certainly return when back to the Cape.

Awesome lunch spot we found when we couldn't get a parking spot at the beach! So we had lunch instead. They were able to sit 12 of us and had something for everyone even kids. Farro Mediterranean salad was so unique and delicious as well as the Ham and Brie sandwich. Kid options too!

Great meal with superb service from Anke. Clam chowder bites were delicious. Lemon sole over a shrimp and bacon cake was outstanding.

- Tuna martini and calamari are some of the best appetizers
- They have beers on tap, fancy cocktails
- You will not be disappointed

The baked scallops were cooked to perfection! I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had better!

The nicest people dine at Scargo Cafe! Dan mentioned to the servers that it was our 56th anniversary. Several people in the room offered congratulations, and one of them took it to a higher level, as we were to learn when we were ready to leave. Someone paid for our meal! The waitress didn’t know who, nor do we! I’m suspicious of the couple sitting behind me in the corner to my left, but it could have been anyone!

We look forward to the opportunity to pay this kindness forward on another visit to Scargo Cafe! And to our benefactor, thank you for making our 56th an anniversary to remember!

One of my favorites. Service is well above average. Food is well prepared and innovative. Atmosphere is diverse and sure to meet your approval, whether it's in the tavern or one of the dining areas. Reservations are available.

Phenomenal lunch! Perfect stop after Annie's Crannies tour. We had the seafood bisque which was heavenly. I wanted Clam Chowder. This was better. Perfectly paired with the apple arugula salad. Every entree looked extremely enticing! Stop by soon.

I have driven by this Restaurant for as long as I can remember and today I decided to stop. I won't be driving by anymore, absolutely delicious. Super fast service, our waiter Larry was great. I'll be back, they even had some good gluten free options for my wife

Very nice restaurant with tasty food. The price is similar to most other same class restaurants. Big parking lot, kids menu.

Had another GREAT dinner at Scargo Cafe on the third Wednesday in April, school vacation week in Massachusetts, with GREAT friends. GREAT Host Will did a great job fitting diners into his available seating as it came available. He took great care of us. We were there early for our reservation and needed to sit at a regular table with chairs. He put us out on the enclosed side porch out front, a quiet alcove, my favorite perch in the place.

GREAT waitress Kimberly did a great job taking excellent care of us throughout the meal. Got to interface with Steli, our favorites waiter, for one second when he helped Kimberly bring our entrees to the table. One of my co-eaters was struck by how helpful the wait staff is, clearing plates, packaging leftovers, even though we weren't "their table."

In spite of my best intention there were no leftover from my scallop and shrimp stir fry. It was so good I couldn't stop eating until it was all gone. I walked around the grocery store twice the next day to try and burn some of that deliciousness off.

I look very much forward to my next visits. This is our favorite place to eat. They serve great food, well prepared, excellently presented and it's reasonably priced. Would be nice to see you here when we come back. Tell Waitress Kimberly and Host Will that you read about them on Trip Advisors.

What can I say? The Cape Cod Times review sums it up..."After all these years" Scargo just keeps getting better. Waitstaff, Atmosphere and Food Quality/Creativity makes it our go to dining spot. Wine list is comprehensive enough and fairly priced, so are cocktails. I seldom drink beer, and that's the only thing that disappoints. The beers are served well, chilled glasses are offered, but the selection is vague and minimal. Still I don't think this is reason enough to deduct a star. 🥂

Once again at Scargo, this time for lunch and it was awesome. We were in essentially a private room with just our table and an open window, perfect covid fighter.
The crab cake sandwich in the photo was nicely presented but I took it apart to show the thick and tasty handmade crab cake! We've eaten many meals there and had some amazing food. My father said the last time he was there he had the best swordfish he's ever had in his life.

Even though Scargo was jumping on a Monday night we were able to get seated right away in one of the side areas. Temperature in the room was perfect. 3 Dishes, swordfish, lemon flounder and Filet Arabica were ordered. All were served hot, and tasty. The steak was cooked medium and it was a perfect medium. The portions were sizable and some of the two fish dishes found their way home. Two Apps were ordered. The clam chowder was thick with more clams than potatoes, classic taste, and an Arugula salad that was reportedly very good. Our waitress, Edina was very attentive, and handled substitutions readily. She provided excellent suggestions. Edina was quite cheerful and she has a captivating Hungarian-German accent.

Scargo serves gourmet food that doesn't leave you hungry. The portions are large and the flavors bold. The wait staff are consistently friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. For this latest meal we ate outside and it was quite enjoyable. This visit, I had the special. It was schnitzel so tender I was able to cut off pieces with my fork! Quite tasty and look at the portion size! Everyone enjoyed their meals and most had food to take home.

Awesome selection of drinks and food! Not your typical Cape Cod menu, which is a great changeup. Extensive wine list and variety of cocktails and beers. The Spinach Chevre salad was fantastic. My wife enjoyed the Shrimp & Scallop Stir Fry while I was very pleased by the Big Sky Filet. Loved the atmosphere and the service was good too. Highly recommend!

Fans of Cheers? Friends? Seinfeld? The Scargo Cafe embodies the same comfort and familial joy. My wife and I have eaten across the menu over the last few years and nothing has missed the mark - cocktails, wine, apps and mains, ambiance and service 11/10. Can’t wait to come back.

Food was wonderful! Nicholas was a very knowledge, kind, attentive and knew the menu inside and out. Everything from drinks to dessert was delicious. Could not have asked for a better meal. And "The Potter table" turned out to be a great place enjoy each other's company.

Friendly and courteous staff. Very relaxing and ambient atmosphere. The seafood strudel is a delight. Save room for their specialty grape nut custard dessert, not too heavy but perfect size.

Such a cozy atmosphere for a winter night. Food and service were exceptional. Our waitress Colleen was amazing and we will be visiting again.

One of the best fine dining places on Cape while being reasonably priced. Come here for birthdays, anniversaries, just cause. Always nice staff. Great chefs.
