Dining here was a great experience from start to finish. Such a cozy place on a cold night as you walk in the front with a beautiful fireplace burning. Staff are warm and welcoming. Manager checked in to see if everything was pleasing during dinner. We tried the calamari to begin. It was cooked perfectly. The panko roasted haddock was delicious. The trio of seafood was a wonderful combination of haddock, scallops and shrimp. The French toast bread pudding for dessert was WOW . Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We will be back. Perfect for a special occasion too.

I've been coming here since I was a kid...so so many memories of birthdays, anniversaries and even holidays. It's just quintessential New England and Cape Cod! I don't think we've ever had a bad meal, and the service is always impeccable. They do lobster dishes at the highest level, their clam chowder is pretty good (I'm a snob about it, and there is better locally), and their meat dishes are always off the hook. I had the prime rib special and it was utterly perfect. Really nice wine menu too. As long as you're okay with the prices, you'll leave incredibly happy!

This is such a gorgeous restaurant! The decor and fireplaces are beautiful. We sat in the red room, which only has a few tables. The service was attentive and friendly and the food was great! My steamed lobster was particularly delicious! We enjoyed hearing the ghost stories too, a quirky and fun touch!

Fantastic old inn with excellent food! They have a special from 4 to 6 that includes an appetizer, entree, and dessert. The lobster bisque is a must try...the best we have ever had! Could have just had a large bowl and been happy! We also tried the pear, goat cheese and endive salad. Enough of both appetizers to share and both delicious. The salmon entree was the best my wife has had, and she always orders salmon! That says a lot. I had the shrimp scampi/angle hair pasta and it was delicious. They bring warm bread which is great for soaking up the butter/wine sauce. Had no room for dessert, so we got some to go. Tiramisu and creme Brule. They were both just so-so. No big deal, the meal was delicious and well worth the price. Highly recommend trying them and definitely recommend the lobster bisque!

HISTORIC INN DELIVERS FANTASTIC DINING EXPERIENCE - dinner for 6 people at the Old Yarmouth Inn recently was such a great experience, set in this building built in the 1600’s, it’s just so cozy and charming. Food was awesome, and worth also noting a very reasonable award wining wine list (read cheap here) as noted by Wine Spectator! FOOD - it’s always a popular spot with locals and visitors, so best to reserve for some sensational high end offerings and specials locally sourced SERVICE - all the staff were great, very attentive, topping up our water, offering refills etc made us feel really at home - so thank you! BOOZE - half the table started with cosmopolitans, and were more than happy with them, wine by glass list is really impressive and I cannot stress how reasonably priced they are, best value I have seen on the cape honestly! AMBIANCE - COZY, CHIC, HISTORIC, just really lovely place to be. recently dined at the Old Yarmouth Inn and I was blown away by the delicious food and attentive service. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. SUMMARY Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience at the Old Yarmouth Inn and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food and excellent service. The inn is a true gem and a must-visit for anyone in the area.

Not that I'm a food writer or something, but it takes a lot for me to go 5 stars! Not the first time at OYI, and I wasn't disappointed on previous visits, always good. This time it was outstanding. From our server, Bavel, I hope I have correct spelling, who said it was a good night for Short Ribs, to the Halibut, spot on. Had the Wedge salad and it was delicious. The right size, not smothered in blue cheese, well done. Ribs were fork tender and delicious. Great cocktails too! Worth the drive from anywhere on the Cape. See you this summer!👍

Had Ne Years Day Brunch with my wife and daughter and her family. Food was varied and delicious. Service was 5 Star. Owners on site and greeted you like family. Would go there again when we have the opportunity.

We went on Thanksgiving and have never been on any of the other 364 days of the year.

You need to make reservations but it's worth it. Our table was ready at our time slot and we had drinks before ordering our three course feast. And I mean feast. The traditional Thanksgiving plate was enormous and delicious. Others were prepared perfectly along with the first courses (soup or salad). The desserts were delicious.

We had so many leftovers. Definitely recommended! Can't wait to go back for some regular faire.

Delicious food and beverages in a very old and historic inn. The atmosphere is like traveling back in time. The delicious food is prepared by highly train chefs.

The wine menu is extensive, and the cocktail selections are wonderful.

Definitely make a reservation and enjoy define meal. Be sure to wear business casual attire.

- Filet Mignon was perfectly done and came with mashed potatoes and asparagus
- Raw oysters were excellent; coconut jumbo shrimp also very tasty
- Atmosphere is "upscale casual"
- They are mostly open for dinner, so check the times and consider a reservation just to be on the safe side
- Plenty of parking behind the restaurant

This is a wonderfully historic place with great food. Thank you Isobel for looking after us at the bar. Loved the atmosphere! Lobster bisque was tasty and satisfying. The drunken chicken and Nantucket pie are amazing, but make sure you leave room for dessert!

We attended our friend's birthday party last night. All 18 of us had excellent dinners. I had to take some of my lobster pappardelle home and can't wait to enjoy it again tonight! From salad to dessert, the food was superb and Sandy, our waitress was fabulous. We will be dining with you again soon. The atmosphere is also so authentic and homey. It is a true Cape Cod treasure. :)

Had appetizers and a drink. The food was very good. Both the lobster bisque and the clam chowder were delicious. Nice atmosphere. The restaurant was filling up quickly, a very popular location.

A positive outcome of eating out since the pandemic started is that restaurants like the Old Yarmouth Inn are making fabulous use of their green spaces. They have a fantastic outdoor seating area that I hope is maintained even once they reopen the dining room.

My wife and I stopped and had a delicious dinner in the warm sunshine and cool Cape Cod breezes. Our server, Ann Marie, provided the local flare to our meal and was great for conversation about current happenings. Extremely attentive service from all the staff.

The food, as you can see in the pictures, had gorgeous presentation and taste to match! This was our first time there and we highly recommend stopping. Even with all the strains of the pandemic, they are maintaining a full menu of fantastic options for dinner. That combined with a full wait staff makes it a must stop while in the area. Most other places are just doing take out or have seating but no wait staff.

Our first trip to the cape and what a great way to end the night at this historic inn. Filled with locals, you could sense the homey vibe right when you walked into the door.

Food was excellent (no question there ), drinks we had were both a little sweet for our liking.

But the town and this establishment won our hearts nonetheless!

My wife and i had a superb meal off their "pre-6" menu. I had a healthy sized Caesar salad which was crisp and fresh without an overpowering dressing with crunchy not stale croutons. My wife has the arugula salad which was quite large and fresh as well. My entree was the seafood trio composed of haddock fillet - probably about 6 ounces, three large shrimp and two scallops all with a bread crumb crust with rice pilaf and green beans, again the portion was substantial. my wife had the ravioli which she enjoyed and will enjoy again as she boxed her remaining portion to save room for dessert. I had tiramisu that was superb as was the key lime pie my wife chose. All served impeccably by Rachel our polite and attentive server. The full tab with no alcohol was under $100 including the tip - I don't recall the last time I had a full 3 course meal for 2 in a lovely venue with great service at that price point. I highly recommend OYI and will keep it at the top of our dining choices list.

A hidden gem in Cape Cod!!! You need to visit this place!

The food is incredibly delicious while the atmosphere is fantastic!

I had the Staffed Lobster which was just amazing, its literally difficult to capture my feelings here after it's bite.

The cocktails had enough kick so I do recommend them.

The carrot cake is so juice and yummy!

Prices are reasonable!

They offer indoors and outdoors sitting. Their outdoors sitting is really comforting, nostalgic and romantic! At twilight unfortunately mosquitos appear so make sure you visit a bit earlier.

The host and the staff are all amazing and pretty cool with any request.

You must visit!!!

I absolutely love this restaurant. The food is always amazing. My husband and I have been going there every year for the past 5 years and have not had a bad experience. The staff and the owners (especially Sheila) are wonderful people and they make you feel special at every visit. I tell my friends, my family, my co-workers and even people I just meet about The Old Yarmouth Inn. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Love love love it!💛
