El Mazatlan Bar and Grill #2

Very nice and huge Mexican restaurant with many tables inside as well as outdoor. So I decided to be seated on the outside as the weather this afternoon was very nice and sunny. Had a Pollo Mazatlan, that said a grilled chicken topped with crispy bacon 🥓 and cheese. 🧀 It comes with rice, beans, lettuce and tomatoes with guacamole. In addition one gets also 3 small flour tortillas. Well, actually it was a full plate and I was simply stuffed! And it was yummy.👌🏻

El Mazatlan has a fantastic atmosphere. It's clean, it's colorful, it's full of life and good music. This restaurant is one of few here that feels high life while not having to pay out the nose.

The staff is super friendly, curteous, and considerate. The staff all have a smile and are all lively and fun.

The food. Oh my gosh. The food is amazing. I got the La Costa dish with fish and shrimp. It's so vibrant and flavorful! A subtle spice in the sauce, the fresh salad and warm potato that come with it! It's so good. You have to try it! The churros were fantastic, too! Crunchy on the outside, almost pillowy inside, and delicious!

We tried the electric lemonade, as well, and it was fantastic. Everything about this place is 5-star quality.

This is one of the several El Mazatlan Mexican restaurants in Bowling Green. We somehow have not been to this one until now. It was quite familiar inside but the largest of all of them.

Service was fast, the food was good and we will certainly visit them again when on this side of town.

This place was absolutely beautiful loved the fountains and the atmosphere of the restaurant. Service was absolutely amazing and the food was delicious along with my Bahama mama drink I got. I strongly recommended checking them out if you have never been here. 10 out of 10. I will for sure be back

Visited 7/23/23. I loved it! The meat wasn't greasy it was seasoned just right. The staff was awesome. If you give your number, you get a free drink drink. The restaurant is huge. It was too busy for me to take pictures. lunch special is every day. I got the lunch #9. Small beef taco shell with rice & black beans

Great staff. My wife has a dairy allergy and doesn't eat meat so they were able to make her meal with no problems. My son and I eat anything so the large menu was our only challenge because everything looked so good. Food arrived very fast after ordering, free chips and salsa was really good and my wife loved her margarita. This restaurant aims to please.

Always a great place to eat. Since it's in a plaza there is plenty of parking. The waiting staff is always friendly, kind and on top of things. I have some food restrictions which they accommodated without issue. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with this restaurant and I've gone to many locations. Their food is always delicious, never a long wait. The staff are always prompt, helpful and kind. The atmosphere is clean and relaxed. And most of the time some good Mexican style music is playing. This is truly my all time favorite restaurant. 🩷

Staff was at end of shift and it really showed. They were not very attentive. Food wasn't bad but not great like my other times visiting. I can't say how much I love the restaurant decor. It's nice. One suggestion is don't put couples at the bar area if they don't ask to be. I couldn't hear my husband over the tvs. Wasn't the romantic dinner we wanted. Also fix the lights out front.

Excellent Mexican style food with a really comfortable atmosphere. The staff is fluent in English, very friendly, alert & attentive. The servers arrive at your table promptly, soon taking your order, serving up drinks, salsa & chips. I love the attention to detail with the internal decor; it adds more to the experience. Your food will arrive quickly after placing your order even when they are in a rush. The servers make sure everyone has everything they need. The building is well maintained, kept clean, the floor is kept clean, the restroom is clean there were not any objectional odors noted. When the servers are not helping customers they are wiping down & sanitizing everything, the tables, counters and so forth. The prices are reasonable for this type of dining. If you like Mexican style food and GREAT SERVICE this is a RECOMMENDED place to eat. 😀

El Maz is, and for many years has been, the standard-bearer for Mexican food in BG. ALWAYS hot, fresh, fast, and reasonably priced. My family goes frequently and has for over 20 years, Great example of doing things RIGHT!!

I need more stars to give! This place is absolutely a vibe. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is amazing and the service is unmatched!! I don’t live here but I’ll definitely be back! It’s worth the drive.

New to BG so I tried a New Mexican restaurant and loved it! The service was good, food seasoned well and Margaritas were good! No complaints whatsoever...nothing but compliments! Prices were good and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable!! Greeted and seated upon entering and server came to table quickly and took our orders. Restaurant was very large and had a really nice bar and patio area with a lovely waterfall in the backdrop! The decor inside and out were absolutely gorgeous!! Located in a plaza but don’t let that fool you...this place is reeeallly nice!!

Great service. Very friendly staff. Awesome cooks who really pride themselves on cooking to order. ! Come by and seriously enjoy some great Mexican food!!

This needs a 10.0+ rating. Excellent food and professional plating, perfect portions, attentative service, wonderful atmosphere and clean! Prices were so affordable and drinks were best in the Midwest. My new favorite Mexican restaurant!

My husband and I came for dinner. Our waiter was nice and checked on us several times. I had the Mike's Special Nacho Fajitas and my husband had 2 tacos and some fries. Food was great!!!

As a solo female diner with a knee brace I was delighted to sit at the bar on a nice, comfy bar stool and enjoy complimentary chips & salsa plus the $1.50 draft special suggested by the lovely barmaid, Mariana. Choosing from the massive menu was no easy task because everything sounded so enticing. Settled on the mushroom quesadilla which was perfectly chargrilled (and SO delicious!) as was the amazing grilled zucchini (side) -- and the yummy a la carte tomatillo sauce is most definitely worth $1.25! El Mazatlan #2 is also most definitely a winner & anyone who says otherwise probably thinks Taco Bell is haute cuisine! 💯🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💯 UPDATE: on a subsequent visit my server, Aida, was equally lovely and the food was equally good! And Maria behind the bar is also terrific! 😇 UPDATE: 500 more stars! Outstanding Chile Relleno and a side of grilled mushrooms! 💯💯💯

Great food and great drinks.. everything was top of the line quality and the flavor was on point!!! I got great service at 10pm before close!!! Queso was good and the ribeye steak was a quality cut!!!

Way better than Puertos portions are way bigger too. For example last time I got a shrimp Hawaiian plate and made it a double order that 30$ meal came with 5 pieces of shrimp. El Mazalatlan is double the portions!! Worth it to get what you pay for in today's world!!

All around good Mexican restaurant. Good food, service, and really nice atmosphere. They even serve octopus now if you like that.
