Barnstable Animal Hospital

My lil doggo Oliver was in fabulous hands at Barnstable Animal Hospital. He emerged from having three teeth removed calm, clearly liking staff and wagging his little tail. This veterinary clinic is well presented with thoughtful staff and I never felt rushed in time with them. Oliver has little personality quirks as a rescue and staff was amazing in only picking him up the way he is comfortable with etc. I transferred over from another local vet clinic and I’m so glad I did. Can’t recommend them enough as they clearly love my doggo as much as I do.

Absolutely love it here. The Dr's. and all of the rest of the staff are great. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Cam has been so great with Allie, she was in alot of pain from back issues and took to Cam like nothing I have ever seen before. When we went back for our follow-up she went right to him. These animals know who are great and who aren't. Thank you so very much for all you all do.

What an amazing place. I only had the pleasure of bringing our long haired cat here twice to be groomed because we just moved home and his check up was not till January (the groomer Marcy is fantastic by the way). In the meantime it was Motor’s time to go to kitty heaven. The amount of compassion Barnstable Animal Hospital showed me was truly heart warming. When I first called to let them know Motor was not doing well I talked to Cam who was incredibly compassionate and helpful with talking out all options. We really had the best conversations about my cat and pet/ owner relationships. Unfortunately we couldn’t wait and I had to call back to see if we could get in sooner. I spoke to Cathy that day and we could not get in so she recommended other options so Motor would not suffer any longer. Today I got a call from Cam to check in and see how we are holding up. What a beautiful person. Kudos to the Barnstable Animal Hospital for having the best staff I have every dealt with in all my years of owning pets.

I have been been bringing my pets here for over a decade. I just left an appointment feeling so appreciative of their care. I showed up to the appointment with my 8 month old son so Cameron helped get my large dog inside and put him back in my car for me, as well as helped me understand my bill. Dr. McCartney was compassionate and understanding toward Tony, my allergy ridden dog that she always remembers and stays UTD with. I had trouble with my card and the front desk was patient. We were definitely high maintenance patients today, but we’re met with warm smiles everywhere. Thank you!

Everyone is friendly. And they are pretty easy with helping you figure out how to get your pet seen without going to a vet hospital. My cat boots is loved here and I'm so happy I picked this vet !

When down here on vacation our dog came down with an eye infection. We tried multiple vets and because she wasn't a current patient they wouldn't take us (understandable). The wait at 24 emergency vet was close to 6 hours. We finally got Erika on the phone and Dr. Ware overheard the conversation. Between other appts she quickly saw our dog and sent us home with some meds. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Ware and the rest of the staff here. If we lived on the Cape, she would 100% be our vet of choice. THANK YOU!!!

Dr. Ware and her team are fantastic. They have helped me with our 2 dogs, Watson and GG. They are caring, inquisitive, and kind. This veterinarian exceeded my expectations. Our family is thrilled that we work with them.

My experience was nothing less than stellar. I found everyone- Pam at the front desk, Missy the vet tech, and Dr. Ware, to be kind, patient, genuinely invested in my dog's wellbeing, accommodating, understanding, and compassionate. I'm so thankful to have found this awesome practice. Thank you all for helping to make the experience as stress-free as possible for my dog-reactive dog. Y'ALL ROCK!

The best veterinarians on cape! They really get to know you and your pets and make the entire experience easy. Even my anxious dog does great here. They make sure you know what is going on and the costs will be so its never a surprise. They really go above and beyond with their caring and kind staff. I live this place and will always recommend them! I posted the photo they took of my puppy with the doctor!

Kind and compassionate care. The staff always treated our Lab Finlee exceptionally well and for that we will always be grateful. Great group of people!

My dog loves going there, cant wait to get out of the car! Have had to "drop in" several times without an appointment and have been cordially welcomed and taken care of.

They always answer the phone very professionally and compassionately. Affordable, reliable, and overall a place I trust to drop my pet off especially during these uncertain COVID times. Definitely will be recommending.

Our senior dog was struggling with skin and eye issues. Dr. Elisabeth McCartney gave her a very thorough examination and provided well thought out options as to how we could move forward and give our pup relief. We really appreciated her expertise and the fact that she followed up by sending us an e-mail after the appointment to let us know how we can save money on a medication going forward (Apoquel Rewards Program). We would definitely recommend Dr. McCartney and Barnstable Animal Hospital.

Outstanding veterinary practice!!!! They had done a great job with all of my pets going back at least 18 years now. The vet techs are great and really care about all the animals that come in. Merry does a fantastic job with my anxious chihuahua who is mortified of having his toe nails clipped or having his medical exam. My only whine is that it would be great if the reception staff were allowed to schedule grooming appointments as I try and combine those appointments for my Maine Coon with his routine vet care when possible due to his huge anxiety around being crated.

Excellent care! Over the years the entire staff has gotten to know me and more importantly my cat who, like all of our animals, is a member of the family. As she's aged Dr. Ware and the entire staff has been there to answer questions, make suggestions on diet and exercise to ensure that Marley will with us for years to come. Couldn't be happier!

Our new puppy, Miko and our senior cat, Gino both enjoy the lavish attention they receive from everyone at Barnstable Animal Hospital. Okay, the cat just tolerates it but he's a grumpy old cat! From Dr. Ware to Marcy, the groomer and the entire support staff our family is grateful to have such a caring group of women involved in our pet's care. Dr. Ware is attentive and comprehensive, she takes the time to explain and answer all our questions. Marcy did an amazing job grooming Miko. We receive medical, dental, grooming and nutrition care that is top notch!! :)

Friendly, compassionate and caring! When over a dozen places couldn't see our rabbit despite it being an emergency, the staff and the veterinarian Mary took her in even with a full schedule. Thank you for going above and beyond!

My husband and I have been bringing our. 🐶 puppy🐶 to the Barnstable Animal Hospital. The staff are so caring and the place is always clean. I finally was able to get a poop sample lol. We're trying to rush it to the Animal Hospital before the clos. So if your looking for a phenomenal Vet you should should choose The Barnstable Animal 🏥 Hospital 🏥! My 4 year old cat got violently ill. I called and left a message at 5am in morning . Melissa called me back at 7:50am. She told me to bring her right in. Dr. Mccarthy treated her and called me every step of the way, I.e treatment, billing. The staff there was very knowledgeable and comforting. They are the best!
