I had the best experience I’ve ever had in this office today. Melissa Perkins NP was incredibly personable and had a wonderful personality. Since losing Dr. Shadowen I’ve never been this pleased.

My experience was far more positive than others listed here -- I received courteous, professional care.

This practice must have some extremely special physicians to be able to get a referral from a PCP and diagnose a patient without ever laying eyes on them, not ordering a single test, and not even reviewing their complete records. The doctor’s office called to tell me I did not have the ID I have been diagnosed as having for multiple years and recently tested positive for again (Lyme/RMSF) as I have occasional flair ups, based solely on “partial records” sent in the referral from a PCP, and refused to even see me. Obviously I wouldn’t want to go somewhere like this anyway so probably a blessing in disguise, but very suspicious none the less. I asked for them to send me something in writing and she said she would, but guess what, they never did. That was 10 days ago.

The doctor doesn't order travel vaccines, which results in all sorts of difficulty when trying to get insurance to cover them. It took 2 hours in an empty waiting room to watch a poorly-made video and have a half-interested doctor write prescriptions. When we called regarding a pharmacy issue, the secretary was rude. Drive to Nashville and see a travel specialist there. It'll save you trouble in the long run.

This is the poorest excuse for medical care for patients with HIV. Infectious diseases clinincs in other states do all blood work in office as well as vaccines. I lived in several States and my experience has never been so unorganized or unorthodox.
Get a clue Kentucky and raise the standards of your health care practice for so many patients. You have no choices for care. 1 doctor in Bowling Green 1 clinic. No case management and it is absolutely unacceptable.
