Oldham County Recycling

This is a relatively clean and adequately maintained public recycling facility.

It's easily accessable and conveniently located near the center of Oldham county, and free to the public.

I did not see any signs limiting use to residents of Oldham County.

Most paper, cardboard, metals, plastics and glass are accepted. Some electronics are accepted, but not computer monitors or televisions.

Only specific recyclable materials are accepted and no liquids, garbage, tires, wood, yard waste, trash, toxic or hazardous materials are allowed.

The facility is under 24 hour surveillance and violations are subject to prosecution.

Materials left for recycling must be sorted and deposited in the appropriate clearly marked receptacles.

The facility is open usually open for self service during daylight hours from 7:00am to 9:00pm. It is usually staffed from 8:00am to 3:00pm Monday though Friday except holidays.

I am glad to have a nice recycling center so close to home. I pay for recycling from my home through Republic but some things won't fit in the can so I haul them to the recycling center. They've updated it a lot so it's nicer than it was. It's only open until 3pm on the weekdays but on weekends it's open until 9pm which is great!! Very easy to pull up and unload my SUV then pull out without having to actually park and back out. Makes it much easier.

This facility is OPEN seven days a week from dawn to dusk. It is manned Monday - Friday (excluding holidays) from 8 am to 3 pm.

Recycling Center reopened on August 10, 2020.

The county has greatly improved the recycling sorting area. Now if they would return to recycling glass as well.
