Holiday Inn Express & Suites Shelbyville

Clean, affordable hotel just off I-64. Checks all the boxes that are non-negotiable to me: very nice bed with four fresh pillows, clean shower and sink, wonderful breakfast (sausage & biscuits, 2 egg options, cereal, yogurt, 3 juice choices). TV remote wasn't working properly and staff immediately fixed it. Very friendly.

We enjoyed our short stay. Bed was nice, shower was good, breakfast was good. Great value. Walls are thin but rest was great.

The room was very spacious and nice! The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. Bathroom had lots of counter space to do makeup or fix hair or whatever.
Bonus: they had a good hairdryer!
The breakfast was really good and had lots of options. Special shout out for the DELICIOUS Danish! Yum!

I’m not sure why this hotel is only rated at 2 stars bc we found it to be quite nice. Room was clean, smelled clean and was very nice. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great! We would definitely stay here again.

Overall the stay was great. Clean rooms, friendly staff and probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve had (thanks Anna). Great location. The only complaint was the heater was loud, but we didn’t need to use it too much.

I came to this hotel every Sunday because we have our church services in a conference room. I have never stayed in this hotel, but from what I know and have seen, the place is extremely clean, and the service is always excellent. People are extremely friendly, and courteous.

If you are in Rm 121,remind the front desk clerk to let the house cleaning know that they need to hold down the noise.

Nice hotel and great staff. It did take 2 days to finally get hand soap in the public men's bathroom otherwise, great place to stay and we will go back. Perfect location and always clean. Seems to be well maintained.

Such a wonderful hotel, very clean, comfortable, with great breakfast and coffee options and in a great location!!! The only problem I had was the remote would not work with the TV very well. I had to mess with it a lot to get it to change the channel.

Arriving to the hotel, I was greeted immediately by a young gentlemen who eagerly checked me in. Arriving to my room, it smelt of cleaning products. The towels were also clean as they smelt of laundry detergent. The room was a bit cold but that was a plus for me. TV was working which has been a problem for me in the past at other hotels. I recommend this hotel if you are looking for great service, clean rooms, all at a good price. Checkout was just as easy as check-in. If I ever come through the area again, this will defiantly be my choice of stay.

Absolutely AWESOME experience! The entire staff was amazing! Trey took excellent care of us and was so helpful! I highly recommended this hotel. The rooms were clean and kept fresh, the brunch was out of this world! The ladies that work overnight were so friendly and made our stay very comfortable and I can't say enough about thr cleaning staff! Very close to excellent restaurants in Shelbyville, a gas station and fast food place that's open till 4am and within walking distance with epic sunsets.

I can’t tell you how grateful I was to meet Isais when I arrived at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Shelbyville, Ky on Friday, 9-23-22. I had had a terrible experience with another hotel chain and a 3rd party booking agency & there were no hotel rooms available with in a 50 mile radius of Louisville. Isais and the manager at this HIE&S we able to work to get me in a room at their sold out hotel so that I could get some sleep - see I was at the breaking point of exhaustion after a week helping my family because my nephew is in the ICU at Norton’s Childrens Hospital. Seriously can’t thank Isaias and Taylor enough for taking great care of me! It’s amazing what a great nights sleep will do for you!! So very grateful!

I'm immune compromised, so staying at a hotel out of state had me all kinds of worried during Covid. I came armed with Lysol wipes and spray. First thing I did when I got to my room was wipe or spray down every piece of furniture in the room and to my surprise that room was CLEAN. Like super clean. Nice staff. Hotel in general was super clean, stylish and right off the highway. My only complaint is I'm coming back through in 2 weeks with a puppy and animals aren't allowed or I'd book again right now.
