Wendell Moore Park

This is a nice little park in Lagrange. It overlooks a small lake. There are running paths, basketball courts, tennis and pickle ball courts. The rec center sets up two pickle ball nets on the tennis courts for play. Plenty of parking and felt safe leaving my car. It was within view the whole time.

The recycling center is attached. It's convenient to drop off the recycling and take a walk/run through the paved park trails. Sections of the trail are shaded by trees and some are not. Frisbee golf course is great. There are workout/warrior type stops along the trail (pull up bar, sit up wooden bench, rope cross, wall climb - I've attached pictures). Great place for warrior dash training 🙂 The path is not flat but very little elevation; just enough to say you worked out!

They have a New Hammock Station installed in the park off the walking path near the lake. An Eagle Scout Project!

The park was great. Took advantage of the tennis courts with some friends and when we got tired of tennis we set up the readily available pickleball nets. Overall it was a great time.

The park trails edge Reformatory Lake. Very scenic and fishing is permitted in certain areas. Far from home, I needed a place for my dog to walk and relax. Wendell Moore was perfect. There are gazebos, grills and a water park under construction. Large playground, too.

This park is fantastic. Playground is great, the tennis courts are very nice, there is plenty of parking… The pool looks like fun but I have not been there.
