Our first time visiting; Ken and Bob went out of the their way to make sure that we had a memorable experience! We were given the grand tour, as well as information about the trains (CSX freight) that run through the historic downtown. I very much liked hearing about all of the various educational programs for children that they have here (from story time to S.T.E.A.M.)We really enjoyed our visit, thank you!

My husband spent a whole afternoon at this very welcoming museum - enjoyed meeting the friendly and helpful volunteers. Great collection of rolling stock and railway memorabilia. Real asset to La Grange (which on the CSX mainline from Cincinnati to Louisville) and a visit is highly recommended if you are in the area (it’s free to enter, but you can make a donation to help maintain the work). Don’t miss the street running down Main Street, this is an awesome sight.

Omg. What a great place to take kids excited about trains. I took my son and his 2 friends. They had a blast. I think an hour is plenty of time to see it all.

Rented the venue , for a surprise bridal shower . Bob , assisted the entire time . Made our experience , joyful and nice !
Very knowledgeable , with all the details .
They assisted with setting up the table and taking them down

Great place for a crowd of 15-20 , in the museum itself .
Currently , renovating the rail car , that will hold more .

Even if you don't just absolutely love trains, this museum will still have you "ew'ing and ah'ing". I took my son and nephew (it's free but a donation is acceptable) and they had a blast. So did I! The history and exhibits are amazing! The guided tour took us about an hour, then we spent another hour playing with the trains!

A really good museum that tells the story of railroading in Lagrange and Kentucky has some really nice models even though personally I think think they need some classic locomotives on their layout but it's still really nice as well as a steam engine and an L&N coach and caboose on display outside next to the former L&N now CSX LCL Subdivision.

My kids loved it. They were having an event in one of the rail cars. It's all free. They take donations. We didn't know about it until we passed by it driving around. We turned tail and went in. It was a great experience.

Great little place to take your kids! There is "Ernie" the Engine to hop on & let your kids pull levers, push pedals & turn knobs! (Word on the street is they are planning on adding sound effects to all the levers/knobs/etc in the near future) The museum proper is only open on the weekends (Sat & Sunday) with limited hours but worth it.

We came to LA Grange for trains, and this place has lots of them. The basement has a couple very large model train setups with very detailed layouts. Upstairs is History: pictures, artifacts, and some of the most knowledgeable docents I've ever met. They also are very hands on in renovating the train cars on display outside.

Very nice people running this very excellent museum!

Great little railroad museum. They're working on restoring the dining car to its former glory.

Went to go look at the train cars and had a very neat experience, on our way to the museum part a fellow name Charles came out and showed us around inside the cars, gave us some history lessons which was very awesome to learn about.
After taking tours of the cars he walked us inside to the museum and showed us around, Charles is a very polite, kind and knowledgeable man
The museum is pretty awesome, they have lots of things to look at and to admire with lots of stories to go with them.
Thank you sir for giving us a grand tour and we will definitely return in the future with friends and family.

We were given a lovely tour and it did not disappoint! A group of folks coming together with a goal of keeping adding new things to displays! It's run by donation and is worth a look !

We just hosted a Sweet 16 dance party with ~30 teens. What an excellent venue! The main showroom easily converted to a huge dance floor. The high ceilings provided great acoustics for the music and lights. Having a separate room for buffet-style food/drinks was a huge plus. Bob & Jason were fantastic to work with and we cannot thank them enough!!
