Shires' Rooftop

I did not eat here, but I came in after a bengals game and had a drink before calling a Lyft back to the burbs. The hostess and bartender were very nice. I ordered a rhinegeist Antelope amber lager and then walked outside to the patio which I had all to myself (it was 50 degrees and they had just opened). Really great views of the city and the stadiums and bridges. Also the bathrooms were well designed and comfortable. They have a separate elevator to go up to the shires from the lobby. I cannot give any critique on the food, but I am coming back to try that later.

The view was amazing and the food was delicious! We were pleasantly surprised by the beetroot salad and the vanilla bourbon mashed sweet potato. The salmon was our favorite main course. Although it was raining, we still managed to take a few photos of the downtown Cincy lights. Our server was very attentive and provided great suggestions.

I would consider this spot a hidden gem in Cincinnati. You wouldn't know it was there (no signage but a small sticker on the door of the apartments/condos). But honestly, it makes it that much cooler. The views were amazing, and we had the best seat in the house. This is more of an upscale restaurant with a semi casual dress code. Kind of the same vibe as Hotel Covington if you've ever been. We had the best service by Rob, and I would actually come back just to have him again 😆. He was that great! He made us feel so welcome, and we never felt rushed. Now for the food.... the fried green tomatoes...🤤 holy. moly. The burrata was also very good. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their meal. I got the salmon which was killer, my husband got the halibut which was dynamite! My best friend and her hubby shared the short rib which they also said was very good. We split the Nutella filled fried doughnuts which was also a great choice. Overall we had THE BEST TIME. Hands down would come here again. Not just for the rooftop, the service, and the food but for the experience!

The staff who helped us was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the food. She was very fast, and helpful. She explained all the Chef's special, which we ended up ordering. We spent 2 hours here.
Apparently they have a new head chef - and according our friends, the food at this time was very delish - agreed!!
It's located on 10th floor, and great to see the sunset (when the sky is clear).

Went here to share a celebratory dinner with my new husband and was more than delighted. Staff were so kind, food was delicious, and the view lived up to its name. Our waiter, Dominick, was attentive, friendly, and accommodating.

We shared a few glasses of poema cava and a couple of cocktails; over the moon and the throne of the empress. All were lovely! We also had a charcuterie board for our table. While we weren’t as into the olives or blue cheese, everything else was very tasty, especially the smoked cheddar and honeycomb.

For mains, I had the pan roasted chicken which was simply perfection! It was incredibly tender and so juicy. My husband had the cavatelli pasta, which he says was very mushroomy, creamy, and tasty. He added chicken to his dish, which he agrees that was especially good with the chargrilled taste.

Since we were celebrating, we also had desserts to finish, which the kitchen added little congratulatory chocolates to - what an excellent way to end a fabulous meal! The creme brûlée was very creamy, and the custard was blooming with a delightful vanilla. The Queen City Crown was everything I have ever wanted a chocolate dessert to be.

We could not be more pleased! If you have the chance to go, don’t miss the opportunity.

This restaurant is GREAT! Took my daughter there with our family for graduation over the weekend and our server Rob was fantastic. He went above and beyond to create a real experience for us and we loved it. The food was great as well, and the burger was hands down the best. We all got different dishes from the scallops to the salmon to the salads, but the burger was probably the best burger I've had, so much so that I wanted to return the next day. Don't miss this experience. The only downside is no valet parking and street parking was the pits...there were several large events over the weekend and all garages and lots were full. Hopefully parking will be easier the next time I visit.

While visiting Cincinnati this restaurant was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. This was by far our favorite place and experience. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left was delightful. The Maitre D was super personal and genuinely wanted us, and everyone to have a great experience. He chatted with us several times during our stay and was enjoyable. Our waitress Jain was a gem. She is warm and fun. She checked on us, but not too much. (We hate when people interrupt our conversation.) We eventually moved over by the fireplace and she took our drinks over there and continued to serve us there. We felt like old friends and asked for a selfie with her before we left. All the food was good but that banana empanada changed my life!

We will definitely visit The Shires’ again. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

What an unbelievably beautiful place and what an amazing night I had here. The bar restaurant is located on the 10th floor of the City Club Apartments building. The views from the terrace is amazing and very romantic. They have a very unique tents on the terrace which is something spectacular and very convenient when weather is not the best outside. I had never seen something similar in any place I had visited before. The restaurant inside is well decorated and the food was really good, but the most impressive and captivating fact about this place is the pianist Mr Beau Brant, he is truly the most talented, nice and friendly person I have met in many years. If you want to confirm how talented he is check out his Spotify account Beau Brant, there you can enjoy his music and the passion he transmits when playing the piano. A truly jewel of the music. Also the manager Ellie and Marcus are amazing. I definitely want to come back to this place. I discovered a really nice place where I would come back always. I recommend this place, not only because the food but the live piano music and the positive atmosphere you can feel here.

We had a reservation for a party of 6 and were immediately sat. Drinks lagged but it was due to a packed bar. All parties got the feast for 2, everything was cooked perfectly and got add’l side dishes of mac n chz…phenomenal. Great setting, beautiful views, bar accommodated us with our annoying drink orders (espresso martinis), and even turned the CFB games on for us. What more could you ask for.

We had a wonderful evening. Food was fantastic! Nice portions. Great atmosphere and we could talk and hear each other. Outdoor space was really nice. Great views of stadiums and Roebling Bridge. Fire pits were needed as it go chilly once sun set

I chose to celebrate my 25th birthday here with 8 of my closest friends and family. 4 of us showed up about 5-10min before the reservation time and were seated in our igloo that was already being warmed up by the fire. The entire igloo set up was very comfortable between the cushioned sofa and the little “windows” in the igloo you could open if it got too toasty. The scenery was also very nice on the rooftop. My party trickled in at different times because of outside circumstances but our waiter, Alex, was VERY patient and welcoming. He checked on us in a timely manner and ordered our drinks and food right on time. The brunch was very delicious and so were the drinks. Alex was even kind enough to sing me happy birthday after he found out what we were celebrating. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and were talking about returning in the future. I am glad I chose to celebrate at this place and I will highly recommend it going forward.

I arrived in Cincinnati and was recommended this restaurant. The view outside is beautiful with a great canopy and set up. Everyone was very friendly and came out often to see if I was warm or wanted to go in. The view of the city is beautiful. The food was delicious - I got the pasta with heavy mushroom flavour and smoked chicken. Highly recommend!

Had a great dinner here as well as dessert. We enjoyed their private dining area where we had great bar service as well as good food.

ROB is AMAZING!! The food is spectacular! This was my first time doing an igloo/greenhouse and it exceeded my expectations. My sister and I booked this for our sister’s 40th bday and we could not have asked for a better time! Again, ROB was so awesome. He was very personable, efficient, and energetic. Definitely worth every penny! Ask for Rob if you get here. He made this such an amazing experience.

So good I came back twice in my first week. Excellent spot to take foodie friends. Impressive view and top notch food. Can't wait to go back again!

A gem in the crown of the Queen City! The View at Shire's Garden is the perfect mix of comfort and elegance. The team makes you feel welcome right from the entrance (take the red velvet ropes elevator). A great spot for a special date, relaxing before the game, or just touring the town in the middle of the afternoon.

View is lovely, outdoor patio is great, and the inside is beautifully decorated. I cannot comment on the food but the drinks were lovely! Our bartender was kind and attentive, with the right balance of making a few jokes here and there with us and letting us enjoy some privacy. Would come again! Great for a date night or special occasion.

I took my parents here for my 30th birthday brunch. The food is amazing! We had the fried chicken breakfast, omelet, french toast, and eggs benedict. We also had several drinks - amazing as well! Our server was the best. He was so nice, on top of it all, and gave us great recommendations! I believe his name was Mark! The decor is so dreamy and makes you feel like you’re on a rooftop vacation. I will definitely be back to bring visiting friends and fam! And ask for Mark!!

Excellent lunch and drinks. My wife had the entree greens with tuna and the ginger dressing. I had the Nicoise which is an excellent tuna dish. We both were very happy with the quality of the tuna and the dishes overall. The price is right for a downtown location with a pretty special view. Our waiter, Tom, was attentive and helpful without being annoying. Recommend anyone give it a try.
