Absolutely love coming here! The staff is friendly, the place is laid back, and you will always leave full. The portions are huge and even more delicious!
Recently opened for breakfast and I had chilaquiles and some homemade hot chocolate! Got one to go to enjoy later as well. Perfect for a cold morning.

This is by far one of the best Mexican restaurants in South St. Louis and the best margaritas 🍹. Fastest time from order to table service with really great quality food.

I am from California and Mariachis is located in St. Louis Missouri. I am a Mexican food snob because I grew up in San Francisco with authentic Mexican food and many Latina/Latino friends who taught me how to cook from scratch from their own kitchens, and I have never found any restaurants in the Midwest that even came close Until I found Mariachis. This place is incredible. The food is amazing, authentic, and the customer service is out of this world. It’s two hours away from me, and I traveled that far just because it’s worth it. Tip them well!

This place is the best. Their beans are velvety, their cheese is the perfect consistency, their food is filled with love, and just you can't go wrong.

You can tell the owners of the establishments try as hard as they can to ensure the quality matches for every plate they sent out of the kitchen.

I love comin here especially bc the staff is super diverse and down to earth, but the food is really why we come!! Shared a pitcher of melon margarita with the hubby, while I subbed steak on the chimichanga ranchero and hubby ordered a sort of fajita platter that included steak, shrimp and chicken(this was enough for 2ppl😱)...it's always a pleasure to visit bc the wait is typically short and EVERYONE smiles

I love this place! The staff are kind and generous, the food is delicious, great margaritas, and it's always very clean. If you come for breakfast you must taste the cafe de olla. They always accommodate vegetarian options for regular menu items for me, too.

This was our 2nd visit. The first time was for Cinco de Mayo which had all kinds of festivities going on around it. This time we just went for dinner and the food was just as good. Customer service was great, and the food was even better.

Food was delicious and service was excellent. I’m super happy with my first visit! It was a little expensive but the quality made it worth it.

This burrito is by far the best I have tasted and had. Drinks are really good, too. Had this feista chicken burrito twice.

As anither reviewer stated - They are not closed, and most recently added breakfasta Have loved going here for years! The salsa and chips are homemade and amazing. Best Margaritas ever as well - not too sweet or sour. Service is always fast, friendly, and the food is incredible. Portions are gigantic.

This was our second visit. I enjoyed the food much more this time. Great service.

Edit: third visit on a Sunday evening. Staff was wonderful and food was great. The big detractor was how loud it was inside. I had a hard time communicating with my companion.

Went last week. I must say it was ok worth the wait. There were only 2 servers and I must say they worked very efficiently and effectively as if they were full staff! The food and drink were hands down delicious! Haven’t been in years and they still taste the same!! Definitely going back sooner than later.

This was celebration lunch. Two Omega Phi Psi brothers of 47 years. The food was very good and the strawberry margaritas were excellent. I will definitely come back. The service was great as well.

Best Mexican in town. Get the Burrito Suizo with steak and either sauce - will blow your mind. They add spice to everything - even the pico! When I am craving Mexican this is where I go. Owned and operated by a brother sister duo - who you may see behind the bar or on the floor - this is not a place you want to miss!!

This unassuming Mexican joint housed in a former Captain D's is hands-down the BEST I've experienced in the greater STL area. My only regret is driving past for years without stopping sooner!

The layout and decor could be pretty much any other Mexican place, but this isn't required to truly excel, but is clean, warm, and inviting nonetheless. Our waiter was always prompt and friendly.

The chips were good, but the salsa... both the regular and habanero were excellent! When we ran dry, more were promptly brought... no stinginess here. The burrito was ~$8 and filled the entire plate. Certainly one of the best values.

The bottom line is that this place left a smile on each of our party of three. Definitely check them out!

This is the best little Mexican place. The service is always top notch and the food is amazing. We moved to Scotland and still made a special trip to eat here when back in the states. Highly recommended.

Ok,first let me say WOW. We have tried several Mexican restaurants over a broad area of Stl and none compare to this place!
From the salsa to the sopapilla, it was delicious from beginning to end.
I always get a Cadillac Margarita with Grand Mariner, theirs was the best I've ever had. Hands down! I order the shredded chicken chimichanga. Another winner, winner, chicken dinner.
There's really nothing more I can say, other than I thoroughly enjoyed every sip and every single bite. The beans and the rice with potatoes and carrots were on point and flavorful. The chicken inside the Chimi, I have to talk about this stuff bc it was amazing. It was like comfort food for for me. I literally felt like I was eating my grandmother's chicken and dumplings, wrapped inside a soft Flakey, golden creamy cheesy shell. Every bite was scrumptious, I ate until I couldn't eat no more.
I'm so glad yelp helped in finding this place and this will be our mainstay from here on out. Our server was friendly, courteous and attentive the restaurant was clean and welcoming and had ample seating as well as parking.
