Plum Street Bar & Cafe

During a road trip we made the last minute decision to stop in Cincinnati for the night. Arrived around midnight and headed here as it was one of the only places open at the time. The bartender was super cool. He made us great drinks and awesome recommendations on grabbing a bite to eat late night. The vibes here were lively, everyone seemed to be having a good time with smiles on their faces. We only grabbed a drink, conversed with the bartender and headed out.

Always a friendly face behind the bar and the same goes for the regular customers. A great place for a drink or few.

They have good beer on tap and cheap prices. It's definitely worth hanging out for awhile, even if you're on the way somewhere else.

It's located across from the Duke Energy Convention Center just off 5th Street, a couple blocks west of Fountain Square.

My recent visit to Plum Street Bar & Cafe was absolutely delightful. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the cozy and inviting atmosphere, which immediately made me feel at home. The restaurant's charming decor and warm ambiance provided the perfect setting for a relaxed dining experience.

The potato salad deserves its own mention. Perfectly seasoned with bacon and chives, sour cream mixed with the mayo. I do declare I have never tasted finer.

This was a wonderful dive bar. I was attending an event at the Duke Energy Center that didn't have food, so I popped in and got a burger and some chips. You would not believe how delicious that burger was. It had great flavor. The lettuce was crisp, and the tomato was cold and sliced to the right thickness. The grippos they provided were the most seasoned I have ever tasted. Maybe I was just really hungry, but it was a delightful dining experience for a random thursday evening. It was the best 13 bucks I could have spent for a burger, sprite, and grippos.
The atmosphere of this place is very homey. Everyone in the bar seemed to know each other and talked as if they met there every week. It was a great time.

If you are looking for a small town feel in the heart of Cincinnati, look no further!

I usually go for the Burger or Chili. They both are phenomenal! Wanted a Salad with some Protein. Cara's Salad didn't disappoint. Everything was as a salad should be. Cold, Crunchy, Fresh ingredients. The Chicken was perfectly seared and seasoned well! The Beer is hands down THE COLDEST IN THE CITY! Plum Street is great for a quick lunch. It is a generational business. Please support a Women-owned small business. Plum Street is your Before and After Bar. Before you start your night out. After you want to have a One and Done then head home! Linda Rocks!

Nice little stop while visiting downtown. Fist time trying the local bbq chips. So good. Great atmosphere.

Great local bar for regulars. They have heavy pours for reasonable prices downtown. They also have touchtunes, which makes it infinitely fun with the right grip.

Exactly what we were looking for and more. Chill but upbeat atmosphere, Games on tv, sit at the bar and have a cocktail or 5. Bartender was fantastic, she was engaging but not overbearing, kept the drinks coming and was just an awesome person….Give this place your business & Support Local!

Stopped in for couple drinks and greeted with friendly locals and staff. Added bonus is the reasonable drink prices.

One of my most favorite places. I go after work a lot. Hal & his staff of bartenders/cooks are amazing and I consider them friends. You cannot get a better bar burger downtown, really. LOVE Hal's spot!

Went here during Cincy Comic Expo and I have to say that this is one of the best "hole in the wall" bars I've ever been to. Staff was super friendly, the food was ridiculously good for being typical american bar fare (quality always beats quantity), the waitress was super personable and friendly, and the cook actually chased my friend down after he had accidentally left his phone behind which he did not have to do. If you're looking for a comfortable environment to get inebriated in, this is it.

Local favorite for many downtowners! Also, a great spot for those who work in the restaurants and hotels... Always ALWAYS has been a place that you can count on for service with a smile... and great conversation! BTW, the jukebox selection is amazing!

Service was great, beer was priced well. I ordered the bratwurst and it was boiled and browned and tasted good. Others around the table enjoyed their food as well, the chili was a hit.

Great Bar. Hal is fantastic. Seriously, my drink is never empty and he's a great cook too. He's also one of the coolest guys you'll meet.

Fantastic! If I worked nearby I'd be here for lunch way too often... had the "famous" hoagie and it was the best hoagie ive had. Nice relaxed atmosphere, the ladies working seem to both work hard AND enjoy their jobs.
