Excellent experienced mechanic. I have taken a 99 civic, NA Miata, and Toyota Camry here for a variety of mechanical troubleshooting and fixes. Very efficient and reasonable on time for repairs. Recommends the different options and cost and has never tried to upsell anything.

I've had two vehicles serviced here, a BMW for a transmission fluid change, and an Infiniti with multiple sensor issues after an overheat. Both were great experiences. Pricing is totally fair, excellent communication. Real diagnostics, not just parts swapping.

Quick update: A couple of years later and we are still extremely satisfied with the service at Roberts. We recently had an issue that he felt he could not diagnose properly, and referred us to another shop. Did not even charge for the diag work he did. That's integrity, and how you earn a customer for life.

Excellent mechanic who goes the extra length to ensure the proper diagnosis for what is wrong with your car. His careful diagnosis saved me over $2,000 versus what others were proposing to charge. Our Toyota Sienna now drives vastly better. A clean, modern workshop also makes this mechanic a smart choice. I would use this shop going forward for all my car repairs.

I had a great experience with Roberts. As a new customer, the owner did everything as promised. I felt like he went the extra mile to review everything with me so that I had all the information I needed concerning my vehicle. I found the customer service and and thoroughness to be exceptional. They even put the sunshade back on my dashboard after they parked it and I inspected the vehicle interior immediately for the typical grease/grime, etc that would typically come w/ having work done on your vehicle - but the condition of the interior was just as it was when I dropped the car off - amazing. That's when you know their attention to detail is unmatched compared to what I've experienced at other places. Thank you, Roberts!

Called and set up a time for oil change and rear brakes on my BMW X5 because BMW Louisville wouldn’t return my call after several attempts. I dropped the car off after hours using the key box. Bill had the car ready as promised. Price was fair and communication was great.

Roberts Imports is by far the best auto shop I've been to in Louisville. Billy and his staff are honest and stand by their work. He never makes a recommendation for service unless it is necessary. He has on numerous occasions even made recommendations against service, as it was unneeded, and he did not want me to waste my money. Most shops in town will gladly take your money in a situation like that. Great service is hard to find.

I also appreciate all the information Billy shares with his customers. He takes time to look over everything during routine oil changes and gives you a good picture of the health of your vehicle. The great part is that he does this without pushing for more service or trying to make a sale.

You might find a lower price elsewhere, but the quality of work will by no means be the same. You will save you money in the long run when your car is still running well past its expected prime. If your car needs work, stop reading this review and call Roberts Imports!

He has been helping with my car for the last two years fixing all the routine and things I do to it . Most recently he helped me after I hit a deer causing some damage underneath. He doesn’t over charge for anything always extremely fair and reasonably priced. Does what’s needed and 100% trustworthy. Never had an issue with any work he has done with my Toyota Highlander. He will always have my service.

I recently had a spark plug break off inside my Toyota engine while changing it. Bad deal. After calling several shops, and most said they couldn't do anything, the others wanted to pull the motor and take apart at roughly $2,000 in repairs. Billy said he could get it out and he did, the next day. He could have charged me anything he wanted, but he didn't. Billy is an honest guy and we should patronize his business and others whom operate similarly. I highly recommend Roberts Imports. Nice guy, nice shop, and he specializes in nice cars.

Roberts Imports is a top notch automotive SERVICE and repair center. I stress the word service, because Billy truly cares about each and every customers' experience and vehicle. This is testament to the fact, that I travel from out of state to have Billy work on my current $100,000 NSX setup. I know that each time I leave any of my vehicles with Roberts Imports, that they are in a safe environment. They will be well looked after, receive the best service with the proper parts. Corners will not be cut, time wont be wasted, and service wont be expedited just to get a "rush" job in. If you want the vehicle to run for years and/or hundreds of thousands of miles, then bring your vehicle to Billy at Roberts' Imports. The knowledge and skill set that Billy possesses on ALL vehicles, not just domestic, is apparent the first time he speaks with you about your service needs. I've attached a picture of my last vehicle Billy serviced. There are not many automotive service centers who complete a full custom engine refresh and build on my vehicle. Keep up the good work!!!

I’ve had Bill working on my cars for about 10 years now and he has never steered me wrong. Don’t waste you time going to a tire shop or quick change lube to have your car worked on. It will cost you more in the long run. Bill treats my vehicles like he would his own. I know when he tells me I need a repair it’s not something he’s making up just to make a buck. My Toyota has 220,000 miles and I’m confident that with his service it will make it past 300,000 and beyond.

This is a top-notch shop. I've been taking our cars to Bill (owner) and his guys since it was AutoLab. Roberts Imports was the only shop I'd take my 01 Honda Prelude to, because I knew I could trust Bill to take the best care of her.
Bill has a no bullshit style, he'll tell you straight up what he suggests. He'll do his best to work with you and make recommendations if you have budget constraints. They have never been rude or unaccommodating to me or anyone I've referred there.
Now both of my parents and 3 of my friends use Roberts when they need work done.

This shop is clean, professional, communication was superb and the work done was punctual. Took my Land Cruiser 200 series to have the alternator, water pump, coolant flush and starter replaced prior to an extended trip in the Southern Utah desert. Roberts Imports uses only OEM parts unlike the national tire stores / franchises shops. These OEM parts came from suppliers that warranty their products. I have complete faith in knowing any job Billy does is done right. For me, It feels good to support local when you find a business you can trust.

If you want a reliable, trustworthy mechanic, Billy is the best. He is always efficient, on time, and explains exactly what he is doing and why so you can make informed decisions. With Billy you never have to worry because your vehicle will be done right the first time.

I have taken my cars here for many, many years. Robert's Imports always goes above and beyond every time I take my car in for service. They have handled everything from oil changes, coolant flushes, and scheduled maintenance to engine swaps and performance tuning. I am particular with my vehicles and only trust this shop to service my cars. Robert's Imports is the best shop in Louisville and they care about what they do and it shows in their work on your car.

Highly recommend! I've been a customer for 10 years and stuck with them even when they moved to Oldham County. This is the only place I trust to work on my vehicles! They're honest with me, explain stuff I don't understand, and have never taken advantage of the fact that I'm a single female taking my vehicle in (which let's face it, is rare when it comes to mechanics). I even take my new vehicles to them for a once over to make sure the dealership didn't screw me. Customer for life!

This is the only place to take a Honda to be fixed in Oldham Co. Billy is an absolute wizard with imports. I was in and out in 1 day for an A/C fix because he knows what to look for. Highly recommend scheduled appointment because any good mechanic is booked up. He isn't the cheapest, but quality work done the first time is never cheap and I don't want it to be.

The only place in Louisville I will let touch my cars. Super attention to detail and they make sure the job is done correctly even if it takes a bit more time or effort. Billy is up front about the cost of any service and does an awesome job of presenting all your options up front. Just a well run, honest shop that does quality work.

Easily the best in town. I might pay a little more than I would at a quick oil change place, but the peace of mind is worth every cent. He uses original manufacturer parts for repairs instead of cheaply made knockoffs. Billy is one of the most honest people I've known, and he cares about every customer he does work for. I've sent friends and family to him, and will continue to do so.
