Hosted a business dinner of 12 mid week. What a great experience! Vince our server was attentive and the food was spectacular! Short Uber if you are staying downtown. Devilish Eggs appetizer- wow! My wife would not share, better order your own.

My boyfriend and I have been here 2x and both have been great! He got the stroganoff which I really liked the last time & I got the short rib which was very good! All the servers were very sweet & even the bartender continued to check up on us throughout our dinner. We enjoyed it being a quieter setting to just have a nice, relaxing dinner together!

First time here and was pleasantly surprised! Drinks, fritters, short ribs and burger were all delicious but the bread pudding dessert was amazing! We will definitely be making this a regular place to visit. Service was also really good.

I selected Fork & Barrel as a dinner celebration with one of my best friends for my birthday celebration. It did not disappoint and you can skip to the end to see what happened that made it special.

You have to make reservations, and our table was waiting for us, upon arrival. Parking was very convenient, as they have an onside parking lot.

I ordered an Old Fashioned, and I am going to confess right now, that it was the best Old Fashioned that I have ever had. I said nothing to my server regarding it, because I didn't want to seem like a lush; but it was wonderful, and literally had a sweet spot at the end before I got to the cherry under the sphere of ice.

I ordered deviled eggs as an appetizer, and requested the bacon be on side. Personally, I don't eat bacon, but my friend does.
The deviled eggs have a mix of blue cheese, and it can be tasted; so if you are use to the traditional yellow mustard and vinegar - this may not be the appetizer for you - but I enjoyed it!

My friend ordered a cup of the tomato soup, while I got the fried brussels sprout salad, that is topped off with a fried egg. We enjoyed our selections!

For the entree, I got the salmon that was on top of a mixture of sweet potato spinach and quinoa, with a side of mashed potato.
He got (beef) stroganoff.
I wasn't impressed with the mashed potatoes at all; there was no culinary flare to them, I could have made them at home myself; save your money and don't order it.

So here is the special moment that stood out - dessert.
My friend had told Liza (our server) that we were celebrating my birthday (Happy Birthday to all the Scorpios!) and I selected the triple brownie.
The brownie was large and warm, and had a happy birthday centerpiece alongside whipcream and vanilla ice cream, and a card! My friend and I shared dessert.
I thought the card was such a nice, thoughtful, and creative touch!!! It was stamped showing it was from the team of
Fork and Barrel, and they had all signed it!
I really enjoyed that personal touch, despite if they did it at the beginning of shift or the beginning of the month; it was a pleasant surprise.

Thank you to Liza, our server for the excellent service!

I have included pictures below.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this restaurant!!! Our party consisted of 26 people, ages 6 to 85 - arrangements were made well in advance of us showing up at the door. The server was extremely helpful undeciding which type of drink to get. The egg drop drink was delicious and the Tito's and tonic were amazing- heavy on the Tito's which was good!!
The appetizers - a charcuterie type appetizer, brisket and queso, devilish eggs, and another one I forget , were out of this world. The fish and chips were delicious, according to the 85-year-old. The beat salad with salmon was extremely tasty, unique, and filling. The smashburger was huge and very tasty. The kids menu seem to have everything on it the kids would want. Let's not forget the service. The servers were perfect. Very attentive but not intrusive. Informative but not overbearing. Our night. Could not have been any better; Thank you Fork and Barrel for helping to make this party memorable ❤
PS. I haven't been here since it was Northside Cafe; but, I will be back.

There were 4 of us and it was a great experience for all. Jeffrey the Owner made us feel welcome and continued to check on us throughout our dinner. Luke our server was very personable and helpful. The brisket quest appetizer was very good. The brussel sprout salad was intriguing so we had to try. Would definitely get again. The ingredients and dressing were very good. The pork chop as the owner said “was life changing”. Others had the short ribs, shrimp & grits & the smash burger were the other entrees. All were good and we all shared. Will definitely come back here. Thank you for a great experience!

The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding! The roasted chicken (shown in picture) was exceptional, and was a large portion as well! I haven't stopped thinking about it! The s'mores brownie was also amazing and very much worth it. Overall, our group of nine were highly satisfied with our experience at Fork & Barrel and I would definitely recommend!

My wife and I went to dinner with our favorite couple friends for New Years. We agreed on Fork and Barrel.
The food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the Develish eggs and the brisket queso for appetizers.
I always go with shrimp and grits if it's available. It had great flavor and the bowl was overflowing, but the grit to enhancers were not proportionate. Still delicious, but I would have liked more grits.
Highly recommended.
We all a drink, 3 apps and an entrée each and the total was about $250........

My parents and I did a double hitter with Morning Fork for breakfast and Fork and Barrel for dinner. Had the pleasure of meeting Geoffrey, the proprietor and chef, this morning, he’s so kind and welcoming. Brittney was our server for dinner and she made our evening extra special. Wish we were locals so we could be regulars! Great all around!

Really impressed with this place! Great food and service. It's kind of a low-key vibe with elevated food. The brisket & queso with housemade tortilla chips was really good!
Brittany was the bartender and our server and we could really tell how much she cares for her customers and the work she does. All around good experience!

In Louisville for traveling work assignment. This restaurant was recommended by my coworker's brother who is a renowned chef. I ordered the crispy pork belly appetizer along with the stroganoff as the entree, along with two Kentucky Mai Tais. My coworker had the short ribs. This meal was in the top three best meals I've had in my lifetime. The executive chef came out and spoke with us as we enjoyed a fabulous meal. This is a 5-star restaurant that everyone who appreciates fine dining should experience.

Fantastic experience beginning to end. Service was some of the best I have had anywhere. Food was hot, tasted great.
It's hard for a server to balance how frequently to check in without annoying patrons and our server was excellent.

Delicious food, a lovely atmosphere, and wonderful service! I had their pork chop special with potato au gratin and grilled asparagus, while my significant other had their shrimp and grits. Both were excellent!

This is becoming a regular spot for us. The food is creative and delicious and the ambiance is trendy. I would recommend calling before you go just to see if they have space, but they have always been accommodating. I had the short-rib ravioli which was awesome. The Brussels Sprout Salad, is probably the best rendition of Brussels Sprouts I've come across. Half price wine features and themed brunches are a couple more features that make this place so up-and-coming. We will definitely be back for more!

A wonderful dining experience! The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Their menu has done excellent choices and they also have a special menu with even more choices. Their custom drinks are pretty great and the chicken livers are perfectly served. The dining area is large, but reservations are recommended.
