Libby’s Southern Comfort

Let me just say, this place was absolutely amazing!!!!! The staff were amazing and fantastic. We sat at the bar, the bar tenders were absolutely fantastic. I had a bees knees and a frozen bourbon slushie, my husband had a beer. All were just delicious. I recommend going here. We will definitely revisit next time we are in town. The pictures don't do it justice.

The restaurant is small but the flavors are big! Fried chicken is a star and the salmon is delicious as well. We started with the deviled eggs — nice presentation and yummy! We’ll be back. You should go, too.

Got the itis after eating here, but it was well worth it. Went with 3 friends on a Friday evening; no wait with a reservation.

We ordered just about every appetizer to share. My favorites were the shrimp and grits, the fried green tomatoes, and the fried chicken skins. The deviled eggs, goetta hush puppies, and the oysters didn't wow me. I typically don't order oysters in the Midwest, but I figured I'd see how these were, and I think I'm going to stick to my habit of only ordering them on the coast. The oatmeal cream pie was 10/10, but the chocolate pie was too artificial tasting for me and came with a raspberry sauce that I don't think complimented it very well.

Service was great, and the cocktails were delicious. Would definitely return and stick to what I know is good.

Best fried chicken sandwich in Cinci! Honey spiced holy crispiness, solid size, toasted bun, and great sides… so refreshing to find a restaurant that knows how to do one really good thing.

Oh wowwww... What a fantastic meal! Stopped in for lunch. We wanted to have some fried chicken while in Kentucky and this joint did not disappoint!! Southern comfort food at its finest with unique twists and touches from the chef.
I started off with the fried green tomatoes. They were topped with Libby’s house made pimento cheese, pork belly lardons, bourbon onion jam, and herb oil. I'm not real big on pimento cheese but this was nicely done. The flavors from this and the pork belly threw this fish over the top and made fried green tomatoes unlike any other I've ever had.
Next, I dove right into the shrimp and grits. I never knew shrimp and grits could be THIS good, and that's really saying something! Tasso grits topped with blackened shrimp, fried onion straws, and chives. I don't know what it was but each bite was an explosion of flavor and a true joy for the taste buds. Most excellent. You just may have ruined shrimp and grits forever for me.
For my entree, I had the two piece fried chicken with white cheddar mac and cheese, garlic mashed potatoes and a freshly made biscuit. The chicken was crisp, flavorful and hearty. The white cheddar mac and cheese, creamy gooey and truly a southern treat. The garlic mashed potatoes were also very and well made!

I love southern food and I love having such a quality southern food restaurants in the area! My wife and I finally made it to Libby’s and it did not disappoint!

We started with the Fried Green Tomatoes which I thought were good but not show stopping. From there we got the Fried Chicken and the Shrimp and Grits. The shrimp and grits was very good. One of the better ones I’ve had. But, the fried chicken is what stole the show for me! It was amazing! The meat was tender and juicy all while having an excellent crunch on the skin! I don’t say this lightly but I think it was the best fried chicken I’ve had! In addition to the entrees, their sides were also very good.

Overall, it was a great experience! The restaurant was nice, the staff was good and the food was amazing! I couldn’t recommend visiting Libby’s Southern Comfort enough!

One of the best places I have eaten in Cincinnati. Everything we ordered tasted great, had generous portions with a southern flair. Highly recommend the Shrimp and Grits…delicious. Handcrafted cocktail selection was extensive and all looked very good. Decent selection of beer and wine options as well.

It was a great experience! The Chicken Skins appetizer is a must try... The Libby's Bourbon Slushy is a nice treat, and the burger was extremely flavorful with the chorizo kicker! I don't regret choosing this as a surprise date night spot!! Unfortunately, they were out of the Goetta hush puppies and the Honey pie, so I think I'll be back to try them!

We had a lovely time at Libby's. We ordered pimento cheese fritters, fried chicken, Willy's burger, steak and egg sandwich and an oatmeal cream pie. The food was beyond all expectations. It was cooked perfectly, juicy, and flavorful! Libby's features a bourbon menu but we didn't partake. The service was great and the bathrooms were clean and stylish.

If you're on the fence about checking this place out, don't be. My husband and I spent a week in the area and ate out every day. Of all of the places we tried, this one was the hands down winner. The chicken biscuit was phenomenal (especially with hot honey). Not only that, the service was excellent. Everyone we talked to was kind and helpful. Would 100% go here again if we are ever in the area.

I’ve been hearing about the fried green tomatoes at Libby’s for quite a while. It’s not a common dish, but is a Southern Sunday Dinner classic.

Anytime a place becomes known for great southern cooking, I pay attention. As one of my last restaurant visits in Cincinnati, I chose to try Libby’s before I leave for Nashville. I did not regret this decision.

I stuck with apps and dessert ordering the fried green tomatoes, the pimento cheese dip, and the pumpkin roll pie (not sure of the exact name). All were fantastic!

I had great service all around, and very much enjoyed my time at Libby’s. I’ll find a way to be back and bring my Mom who is from Tennessee. She would love it, and so will you!

We went to one of our favorites, Libby's Southern Comfort restaurant, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the clean and inviting atmosphere, complemented by charming decor that set the tone for a memorable meal.

To kick off my meal, I opted for the Goetta Hushpuppies, and they were an absolute hit. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these little bites were bursting with flavor. They were the perfect precursor to what was to come.

The Buttermilk Chicken Biscuit that followed was nothing short of phenomenal. The chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned, sandwiched between a biscuit that was flaky and heavenly. Each bite was a burst of Southern comfort in my mouth.

Moving on to the burgers, they were truly a class apart. Cooked to perfection, they were juicy, flavorful, and topped with fresh ingredients that elevated them to a whole new level. Libby's certainly knows how to do burgers like none other.

To wash it all down, I indulged in the Bourbon Slush, which was a revelation. It was the perfect blend of sweet and tangy, mixed with bourbon in just the right proportions. It was a delightful accompaniment to the meal.

Finished with the pumpkin cheesecake. It was bursting with flavors and creamy finish.

One of the standout features of Libby's Southern Comfort is their great outdoor dining area. The spacious setup, complete with nice ceiling fans, creates a comfortable and enjoyable environment for al fresco dining. It's the ideal place to savor your meal on a pleasant day.

Lastly, I must commend the excellent service I received during my visit. The staff was not only attentive but also incredibly friendly, adding to the overall warmth of the experience.

My first time going to Libby's was absolutely amazing. We had 6pm reservations, had no wait, and a lovely outdoor seat. We were recommended a smooth bourbon that complimented well with the extraordinary food. Adding this to the fast and friendly service, I cannot recommend this place more. I definitely will be returning.

Food is definitely worth the wait if you are not in a hurry. Came here to eat lunch with a few coworkers, and our normal one-hour-lunch became two. They were packed on a Tuesday lunch hours. The hostess was very nice and enthusiastic. Our food came in hot and well prepared. It's very tasty and has huge portions of Southern food. They have a wide variety of menu to choose from. I got the goetta hush puppies and shrimp roll. Pricing is higher compared to other lunch options in the area, but it was worth it.

We had a group of about 20 people show up on a night that is normally slow for the restaurant. The staff was super nice and accommodating. They went above and beyond making us comfortable on the outdoor deck. While it was very cold outside, the deck was heating and they also had out plenty of blankets if needed. (They were not)

The food was something else!!! I really loved the dish that I got, and I did not hear one bad review from our group about the food.

Highly recommend! They need one of these in Texas!

So good. We're a family of three, and got three different dishes. Every single thing that came to the table was delicious. We also got the pimento cheese fritters as an appetizer, and that was some of the best stuff we've eaten on this trip.

Had 2 pc fried chicken with collard greens and mac&cheese. Pimento cheese app and hushpuppies. Smoked Maple Old Fashion cocktail. All of it was excellent.

Delicious! We made a reservation for 11 (10 adults, 1 child) and had our infant who did not require a seat. We went on a Saturday at 11:30 am and it wasn’t crowded when we got there but was busy when we left. Service was fast and friendly. Cocktails were amazing, I had a smoked maple old fashioned. Others in our group had Bloody Mary’s and beers. Our toddler had his fill of sides! I ordered the spinach salad with chicken but every item on the menu looks absolutely delicious. I recommend the fried green tomatoes. Parking is expected for Covington with a few reserved restaurant spots in a small lot, only available at certain times. Must try, and it’s on the B-Line!

Instant favorite. Had a great Sunday brunch at the counter (come early, it's popular). Service was excellent.

The sausage egg and cheese casserole was really good and filling. Had a perfect bloody Mary with it.
