Amazing. It was a little bit of a wait but well worth it. Fall off the bone ribs. Green are the best I've had in a really long time. Will most definitely recommend.(Update) Catfish is amazing.

Let me start off by saying I ate a little of each before taking a picture it was not shorted in the food. Everything was really good. Awesome sweet tea. If you like BBQ I would for sure recommend this place to you!

Just ordered pulled pork and mac n' cheese from Eddie for large gathering. One of my guests said it was the best bbq pulled pork he has ever had, and he had to stop himself from going back for thirds. We all enjoyed it. So glad we ordered from Eddie's! Made prepping for our party much easier.

First time dining in last night, it was close to closing time. Food was very good. We had two brisket dinners with collards, potato salad and fried okra. Waitress was nice and accommodating. Eddie came out to make sure each table was happy with their meal. You can tell he enjoys what he does. Great southern style paper plate restaurant. Nice friendly vibe. Thanks we will be back!

I planned a family weekend trip and as I wanted to try something new I looked up soul food restaurants and I came across the website for Eddie’s Barbecue. Well while we was there the service was absolutely amazing and the food was top notch Catfish, Collard greens, Mac/cheese and Barbecue sandwich Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The other customers was super nice and encouraged us to try different stuff on the menu. I think the most important thing I want to mention is Mr. Eddie himself came out and greeted his customers introduced himself and spoke with every person that was there. Had a brief conversation with each table. I will definitely be coming back again the waitress was the sweetest lady she was very attentive to the customers and their needs.

On my visit I had the great fortune of meeting Eddie the name sake himself! Great gentleman! He is not just a good BBQ man, he is a good man period!

Now to the food....I'm a sliced brisket man myself and Eddies version did NOT disappoint in the least , juicy and flavorful!

And the mark of a truly great BBQ place is sides that are up to par with the meats. Once again Eddie has nailed it!!

So great food and great people, do yourself a favor and come give this place a try! Tell Eddie the "Trucker" sent you!

A friend invited me out to lunch today, and I spent a while yesterday racking my brain to come up with a good restaurant in the area that would fit Whole30.

I got lots of great recommendations on some health food based joints, and of course some big chains were mentioned that have Whole30 items special on the menu. But this friend is the kind of person who won't go to a national chain even if you put a gun to his head, and I just wasn't feeling the health food restaurant vibe today.

Then I realized I was over thinking it! BARBECUE! I checked out Eddie's Southern Style Bar-B-Q & Catering in Florence. The building doesn't look like much, with the inside as bare bones as they come, but I'm no fool. You don't need a fancy building or cheesy decorations to make BBQ, and Eddie's proves that completely true! The brisket was amazing. Lean yet tender, and full of deep smokey flavor. I got green beans so I'd hit my vegetable requirement, but I was blown away by how good they were! These vegetables were better than the main dish at some places!

If you haven't been to Eddie's yet, you absolutely need to give it a try!

Best brisket I've ever had!

Food: The sides were good, the brisket stole the show. It was so good it didn't even need sauce, I need food like this in my life!

Price: Similar to chain BBQ places.

Environment: It's a hole in the wall place with very little seating.

Staff: The owner was very friendly and clearly has a passion for his food!

Will return: As often as possible!

Eddie came out to say hello while I was waiting on my food. Incredibly nice, authentic man. I don't usually eat just anyone's greens, but they're delicious! Had pulled pork, Mac and cheese, and seasoned wings with it. Will definitely be back.

I wish i could give them 10 stars. The food is absolutely amazing, the staff are very kind and welcoming. I have yet to enter a restaurant and be made to feel like I'm at home, that is until today Eddie's made us feel like family instead of customers. Thank all of you for a wonderful dining experience. I will be back!

Enjoyed Eddie's BBQ yesterday for a friend's birthday. All I can say is WOW. Met him personally when he delivered the food and just loved him. Knew I would from my friends Coleen & Mike. I highly recommend everything!

It was really good. I had the brisket with collard greens and my husband had ribs. The ribs were perfectly cooked and very meaty, my brisket was cooked just right and the collards are the best I've ever had. Well be back!

Great ribs and brisket. Sweet potato fries were perfect. Price was very good. Owner is a special person. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Had Eddie's BBQ today for takeout at lunch. We had the brisket and pulled pork. Both were very delicious. Eddie is such a nice person he makes you feel right at home.

Amazing BBQ and sides. Caught Eddie as he was closing and he was gracious enough to serve us anyway, and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him! What a kind man and a wonderful chef. We will definitely be back!

Great food. Better people. I knew Eddie and his late wife, Katie (one of my favorite people EVER), from my days working at Sam's in Florence.


His bbq is the best I've ever had. I've heard the corn is outstanding but I'm not a corn eater so i don't know first hand.


He made fried chicken and bbq when my ex-wife and i got married. It's the only good memory of thay day :)

Stopped yesterday 6-18-16, the store was closed, but Eddie was getting ready to head to a catering job, I asked if he had a slab of ribs to go, he hooked me up, those were the best pig sickles I ever put in my lips, thank you sir for the customer care, and your help. Amazing food and Eddie is a really nice guy. If you like bbq then this place is a need to go place. Never had any bad food from here

My fiancé and I were looking for some good bbq and we found it..the food was amazing and Eddie came and talked with us and the staff was friendly also!!
