Mayas Indian Restaurant

We loved it! I couldn't tell you what we had because I often have Indian food and forget the name, but we all got something and shared it and everything we ate tasted great! The restaurant is small, perhaps 5-10 tables or so. The man that helped us, (he greeted us, seated us, answered the phone, helped serve the food) said that 80% of their business is take out. While we were eating, we saw a steady stream of people coming into pick up food to take out, and it was a Thursday evening. Very friendly nice staff, clean restaurant (a little cluttered, but clean). Not a lot for ambiance, but it was clean and nice and the food was excellent; defiantly I would recommend take out, dine in if you don't mind a hole in the wall kind of setting (I don't mean that disrespectfully, just don't know how to describe it). I will go back and I would take a friend if we were looking for place to eat. I recommend it!

I crave Maya's! I always get vegetable samosas! A fried puffed pastry with spicy potatoes and peas. They come with a green and red chutney that you can add to anything. Their garlic naan is amazing! I've tried many dishes from here and I don't think you can go wrong. Some of my favorites are, bhatura saag, saag paneer and chicken tikka Masala. The portions are huge I usually get 2/4 meals out of the samosas, naan and a dinner. The people who run it are so nice. Best Indian food around!

Rating mostly on the food quality and taste.
We tried the fish pakora and mix platter at first in appetizers. Fish pakora was one of the best I have had in the US so far. It was very hot and crispy. We followed with paratha and chicken tikka masala. Parathas are too big and tasty too. You should probably only order one paratha for every 2 people for it to not get wasted. Chicken tikka masala tasted ok. We also tried shrimp biryani which was really good.
We ended up with special chai which wasn't really that special.
The only feedback I would give to the restaurant is to tell their customers their best dishes from the menu. We came from far away and only wanted to try their best dishes, however, when asked about it, we were said there is no special dish and everything is good.

Had such a pleasant experience with the owner of this place today!! He is such a nice guy and knows how to treat his customers! My boyfriend and I always come back for the Mango Chicken Curry and Garlic Naan, so good!!

My son and I had lunch at Maya last Friday in the service was prompt, and the food was outstanding. The restaurant is small, but very cozy. We actually spent two hours there. We enjoyed it so much. I had eaten at Maya several years before when I lived in Cincinnati previously, and it was exactly as I remembered it. The food is the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten anywhere.

This might be the best place in Columbus to grab some delicious Indian food.

We tried the garlic naan, paneer naan, chicken biryani, lamb choli, and goat saag. Everything was delicious, and the portion sizes were huge (especially for the naan). The naan was crispy and poufy, and all of the main dishes were very well spiced.

We ordered max spicy for the saag and it wasn't the blow-your-face-off spicy that you sometimes get with Indian food, so go crazy. The goat was the only dish that had bones in it, so just be aware of that.

The most delicious Lamb and Shrimp curry 🍛 in the universe! ❤❤❤❤🤩🎊 We visited first inside and were so impressed and excited with our meals, the service and the atmosphere! Then we ordered take out and still the best !!! ❤🥰

We always order takeout from here. The food is amazing and the service is always spot on and efficient. We are in one time and they took the time to give us a lot of recommendations and new things to try. However the space to sit is small and alot of to go orders are facilitated near you. I'd love to see them expand to a newer space someday

I will start with the restaurant is very clean and organized. service was excellent from the start as we walk through the door till the moment we left the food tastes very good if you like mild to extremely spicy they will make it to order.my wife says with her experience eating the style of food they have Americanized it a little bit by not having the bones in with a meat but it is still good. Thank you to the gentleman who served us from the door to table and to the Cook whoever that might have been great job ...😍

First time ordering here, and it came hot fresh and amazing. It tastes fresh and homemade, I loved every thing I ordered.

When ordering they let us order no spice. The food always end up being delicious and hot, especially since it's being delivered. Delivery times are prompt.

Literally the best chicken tikka masala, paneer bhuatara and garlic naan I've ever had! I've been to a LOT of Indian restaurants across the country and none can even compare to Maya's. Best customer service too. I ALWAYS know my order is right and I'll be greeted with a friendly face everytime. Maya's is hands down my favorite local small restaurant and business. Well worth a visit or 10.

This place is very good, the chicken and mushroom was so amazing, that I took leftovers! The samosas here are really good too, as well as the garlic nan. Overall, a 10/10 rating. Honestly, this place is one of my favorite restaurants. Everything tasted amazing and my stomach was happily filled! I would definitely recommend going here.

I have lived down the street for over a year now, & decided it was time to try Maya after finding a coupon in the Reach magazine. When I first walked in, I was happily surprised with how nice & clean the environment was.
This was the first time I really tried Indian food- & was definitely NOT disappointed. My boyfriend got the chicken broccoli, & I got the chicken mango & it was DELICIOUS. Huge portions as well- enough for a second meal. We also got some type of bread for my 2yo as well, & he couldnt get enough. They barely burnt the edge of the bread, but they still brought us a whole new piece. The service was wonderful. Definitely plan on going back soon!

Maya's is a quaint little place with good food. Alot of food for a good price. Atmosphere is nice and quiet so you can talk to the people at your table and not have to feel like you need to shout or raise you voice to be heard. The ice cream is Great!

Food was delicious the service was even better 😋 Something was wrong with the heat so it was freezing in there But after the repair man came the heat was restored

Been eating here for years, you may have to wait a bit longer for your food on certain days because they are so popular but everything is always delicious, the portions are large, and we've never had anything to complain about. Even when we've had delivery through third party, they are good about packaging to avoid spills.

Best Indian food on the west side. Have had all options. Dine is a little slow but usually because they have one person running it, but super nice, pleasant. I usually get doordash (granted done in is cheaper (coupons) but always hot, fresh and delicious. Standard food price, makes 2 to 3 meals
