Awa Kava & Coffee

I recently visited Awa kava bar and had a great experience. The atmosphere was chill and relaxed, and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I tried a few different kava drinks and coffee. Kava Bar is a great alternative to a traditional bar and a fun way to socialize without alcohol.

8/20/23: One the most perfect spots I would chill at everyday. The dirty chai was excellent with happy service. Highly recommended. The atmosphere is a comfortable beach vibe.

This is a fantastic alternative to your regular coffee shop. Kava and kratom and tasty concoctions with flavors and a great bar tender who explained everything, gave us samples and walked us through it all. Looking so forward to going back!

First experience with Kava and this place was incredible.

Judah (sp?) was behind the bar and super friendly. Fully understood my newness and explained his take on Kava. I gave home some basic tastes I was looking for and he mixed up a hot Awa Lava Latte… it was awesome.

I hung out and took in the vibe scrolling through my phone nonsense. It was a super neighborly place. A few regulars came in and hung out, a couple of people with dogs.

There’s a sitting area and a bar area as well as a few small tables inside. The outside patio looked good but it was not what I was looking for.

They don’t mind if you bring food to eat there.

There is a parking lot out back to avoid having to pay for street parking

I had a muddy chai as my second drink and enjoyed the kava numbness on my tongue.

Had the greatest dreams that night.

Owner was so so nice, the place is adorable, and I tried Kava for the first time! (turns out its very earthy, so don't get the peanut butter mocha, get the chi!)

All around great experience. Excellent vibe and coffee with really cool staff and very reasonable price. A definite go to place in my book.

Super cozy, great place to do work on your computer or hang out with friends.

They have games, including chess. If you're looking to play chess you might be able to find an opponent here.

Extremely dog friendly; there's always at least one dog here (nice dogs).

Nice mouth-numbing and relaxing kava from Fiji and Vanuatu. They also have coffee, kratom, and CBD.

If you like that small town feel and adorable coffee shop vibe, this place might be great for you. The owner was kind and we support this adorable kava bar. There were a couple kava options, personally think the Fiji kava is the best to order.

Super dope place to relax and grab a kava. The owners Will and Kevin are both friendly and knowledgeable. I guess there are different types of the drink that can be euphoric, relaxing, or for focus. They'll help you find the right one. They have wifi and couches, so I'll be back for sure to get some work done. Great location too!

This place is awesome, not a liquor serving bar but it could be your new year resolution to ditch the booze and switch it for the stuff being sold here. The owner is super nice and very informed and made us all feel very welcomed. 100% coming back and hope to become a regular!

Chill little shop on the corner. Actually an small antique house. If you blink youll miss it, which would be a shame. Friendly helpful staff that like what they do. Great variety of drinks besides espresso. Steven is a consumate expert; warm and hospitable!
Local paintings on walls. Open mic nights and Free wifi too. 😎👍

I had Kava in Fiji many years ago and have never been able to find a place that serves good kava until now! My husband and I shared the Vanuatu. The mural is gorgeous and reminds me of my time in Fiji 🇫🇯

Super cool laid back kava, kratom, coffee and tea shop with very high quality beverages.

Fabulous for a late evening kava or coffee and to sit outside and relax and visit with friends and just chill ! 😎..... whoop ! Whoop !
AND.....SUPER UBER CHEAP .... I MEAN ...FOR COFFEE ☕ THAT IS ..... I paid $16 for 3 drinks ! ...... that's like totally unheard of in this town !!!!

I have a stutter and sometimes it is worse than others. This morning was of the worst variety. The server was super kind, helpful, patient, etc.

Now to the drink - she made the most delicious kava drink I’ve ever tasted. Super hard to do with an ingredient that usually taste like mud, and espresso, usually bitter!

Awesome coffee and barista. Super chill and friendly!

Best place to go down and hangout with good friends and have a nice warm drink after a long day on the mountain or long day of work!!!!

I had a kratom drink. I had never been in there and never had kava or kratom. I asked the server for something that would give me an energy boost but not keep me up late into the night. He suggested kratom and made me a tasty fruit punch type drink, iced.

Outstanding Coffee and Tea Bar. Made us very welcome. They are personable and the coffees because we tried a few were excellent. Highly recommend you stop by and try their coffees or teas. You can sit indoor or outdoor Under The Lights very comfortably. They have games to play. A very inviting establishment anytime we come back to Flagstaff we will always come by here.
