We rented the space for a book signing after hours. The owner and staff were not only professional but went above and beyond to help us setup and cleanup. The vibe was perfect and all over our guests raved about it. The ambiance was beautiful. It couldn’t have gone better!

Awesome coffee shop with chill vibes and excellent tasting coffee. Great spot to hangout, chat with friends and get your day started. I had a house drop coffee which was bold, full bodied and roasted perfectly. I needed that extra boost so I also had the iced coffee to get me going for the rest of my day!

Love this place! Everyone here is always so kind and helpful. The hot chai tea latte is what I usually get, it’s amazing. Tastes like a holiday. My boyfriend had the caramel iced coffee and loved it. But the real star of the show is their Vegan Chai muffin. I AM TELLING YOU, this muffin is undefeated. Try it. You won’t be sorry.
Very cool atmosphere. Great place to go to hang out and get a drink. I believe they sometimes have live music. Highly recommend!

Cool, cozy, inviting spot with quality coffee and excellent service. Enjoyed the vibe where patrons were engaging each other in conversation or chess versus staring at laptops as is most common today where coffee shops serve as mere study halls.

I live on the same block as Black coffee & can confidently say it’s one of the best coffee shops in Cincinnati! Great music, tasty coffee, cheap, and super friendly staff. The barista remembered my name after only being in there a handful of times and always strikes up a conversation. I love working from Black Coffee!

We had our sisters book signing here. Great owners, atmosphere, and location. Very accommodating and worth every penny we paid. I recommend patronizing them. Good people.

Great coffee shop in Downtown Cincy. I love going here on the way to City Hall. I wish I had more time to visit. I've never had a bad experience at the blaCk Coffee Lounge.

UPDATE: I visited a lot over the past year that I first left the review. Trying to cut back and hadn't been for a while. Saw some new faces and they were still extremely pleasant! The fact that they come around the counter and bring you your coffee, even if you're taking out is top notch service imo. Pics are the swirl latte cold brew 😍

The ladies here are amazing!! They are always so sweet, and work so hard. Love this place! I've had several things from the menu, and they were all great!

I saw that they were a black owned coffee shop and I wanted to try it. It has the feel of any other coffee shop but it has soul. There’s black artist and other paintings on the walls. It’s nice. Due to COVID-19 regulations, you can’t sit down inside and only 2 people are allowed inside at all times. Mask are required or no service. The two ladies working were nice and very helpful.

I got the iced coffee with caramel syrup and half and half. It taste great and I liked how smooth the coffee taste was. I also ordered the herbal tea unsweetened and a red velvet cookie. Highly recommend the tea though. It has the minty freshness to it that I really liked. All in all it’s great coffee shop. Hopefully when Rona is over, I will be able to sit inside and enjoy the scenery.

I absolutely love this Coffee Shop, my go to is the Whoa and it is delicious. The vibe is really good and they have some great local art work on display. Can't go wrong..😊

This was an awesome experience! Both employees were super polite and kind! Even though it was our first time, they made us feel like we've been there 1,000 times. The coffee was amazing! I got a white choc Americano and I didn't need to have it altered. It was perfect. I will definitely be coming back and I most certainly will recommend this place to friends, family or complete strangers. 😊 One of the employees heard why we came(because they had one of the highest reviews in the area) and he said, "Wow, well I hope we will live up to that!" You guys most certainly did! ********** Out of ***** 👍

Absolutely enjoyed stopping into Black Coffee Lounge. Everyone was very nice and helpful when ordering. Excellent Covid protocol and even better chai tea latte. The artwork inside both in pieces and on the wall were awesome. I will absolutely stop in again when back in Cincinnati.

This is one of the best coffee shops I've been to and always make sure to stop by whenever we visit Cincinnati. Coffee, chai, people and vibes are all amazing.

I had a great experience here - heading back to the DC-Metro area after a local staff retreat, I stopped here with a colleague before my flight. The service has been attentive and kind. I received a free iced latte since an order got mixed, which was fine by me! The croissant was good for me because it wasn't greasy and overly butter. Really nice spot to plug in and get work done in a comfortable environment. Thanks for being accommodating!

I was greeted with a warm smile and wonderful cup of Joe! This place is special!

I can't wait to return and bring friends with me! There was a line when I arrived, and the cashier moved at a good pace. He was friendly and efficient. The Swirl Latte was well worth it! The right amount of sweetness for a drink that has caramel and dark chocolate and paired well with almond milk. I also bought a turkey quiche, which was delicious, with the right amount of flavor to please anyone!
The environment they cultivated is delightful. I enjoy seeing local businesses support others. I bought "Free" by Lucille Banks and read while I was waiting for my order. There are also flyers for local events in several areas and artwork from local artists available for purchase and perfectly tied into the shops atmosphere. Seating is available and inviting, adding to the welcoming atmosphere the coffee shop aims for.
I can't wait to visit again and see this place grow!

Great chill vibe, very local, and survived Covid. Made a great flat white with some basic instructions.

Needed a chill place with large windows to do some reading, research & reflection! And it was the best place to be. Enjoyed a hot green tea with a vegan muffin & too one of "Gail's " lemon bars to go.

I didn't eat anything. I just had coffee. Coffee was good. Self service, competitive pricing. Creative, artistic decor. Nice atmosphere 👌
