Barcelona Bistro Bar

We found This place by accident while stuck in traffic out front. We decided to go ahead and give it a try and we were very pleasantly surprised. The service was absolutely fantastic. Our server had great suggestions since we had never had anything from this restaurant before. She went above and beyond for sure. My wife had the ribs and I had the lasagna bolognese. They were both fantastic! I definitely recommend trying this place out. We are going to work it into our regular rotation of dining spots.

This place is so good. The lasagna and the crepe were really good. We also had baguettes with tomatoes and spicy potatoes. The sauce on the potatoes was amazing ( I also ate it with the bread). Our server was nice and attentive, but I don't remember her name.
Strawberry margarita was good.
They had a promotion today ( Thursday). I think it was 1 dollar off on the draft beer.
The parking lot was a little bit too small. But I really liked the place.

Glad I finally decided to check it out! They served some of the best, authentic food and I can't wait to try other items from their menu. Overall an excellent experience. Also, the inside was actually pretty spacious compared to what it looks like from the outside. However, the parking is pretty limited, but don't let that stop you.

Great drinks and great food. Our waitress was amazing. The atmosphere was very warm and looked clean. We had the eggplant parmigiana. It was absolutely delicious.
Edit: Came back and tried the Paella and charcuterie board, octopus. I recommend it all. It was absolutely delicious, the Paella was the best Paella I have ever had. Chef came out when it closed and said hi to us. She was great and the waitress was amazing too. She was extremely knowledgeable on all the plates and drinks. Can't wait to come back! I went on a Friday evening and it was full but there was no wait.

Had a nice birthday dinner here! Charcuterie was really good. Lovely atmosphere and vibe!

Was on a walk through J-town one evening and decided to stop here for some drinks and a snack. We sat outside and tried a few different cocktails and an appetizer. Drinks were delicious, appetizer was yummy, servers were friendly and polite. We had a peek inside and the place looks very cozy. Definitely coming back for dinner.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner and it was amazing. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. We will be coming here as often as we can!

I totally like the atmosphere, is like romantic, cozy, casual mood. The food was ridiculous! I had paella and lamb ribs with chimichurri sauce (the saucewas my very favorite) Red sangria was on point

We stumbled upon this place and what a treasure! The menu was a mix of tapas and family style portions, which makes this a great spot for larger groups, though the ambiance can definitely lean into a great date night spot as well. Brandi, our server, was on-top of anything we needed and was very friendly! A few of the menu items that really stick out & would highly recommend: their calamari, paella, spinach salad, and of course dessert! The beignets with pecan ice cream...🤤

I have been cooking for over 10 years and I am a private chef, so trust me I know good food and what it should taste like, and this restaurant did not disappoint at all! I tried their seafood croquettes and the ribs and they were cooked to perfection. The seafood croquettes had perfect crispy texture and very moist and full of flavor on the inside, as far as the rib goes, it was braised to perfection, I am assuming it was slow roasted and that glaze on it was phenomenal. I had the pleasure of speaking with chef/owner and what a great person she was, wish her lot of success!!! Definitely will be back for that paella 🥘!

We had a lovely dinner at this authentic Spanish restaurant. It was very busy on a Friday night still not a good place for a quiet conversation. I think we will go back on a weeknight for that. We had the gin and tonic with strawberries that was delicious. The zucchini bites with blue cheese for a great appetizer at about five dollars. And their new dessert that is reminiscent of crème brûlée had the zest of citrus.

Amazing food...I lived in Barcelona for few years in the 90's and have been going there for vacation ever since..she nailed it, all the way down to the "Pa amb tomàquet" cant wait to go back..

5-STAR Experience EVERY TIME!! We’ve been lucky enough to dine in here three different occasions, as a couple, or when hosting friends/family… and have never left disappointed. For my money, they have THE BEST Sangrias (Red or White) in all of Louisville. Their Patatas Bravas rival any that i have personally tried in Spain. That Catalan-Style Spinach… can’t be resisted. The Garlic Shrimp must also not be missed, along with everything else in the menu. The only “drawback”, if I have to be picky, is that the Ham Croquettes-though delicious- are super rich/heavy (not anyone’s fault). They are even great about maintaining an honest “Lost-n-Found” if you happen to forget any personal items!! I’d eat here every week, if my wallet would allow.

Think about a night at dinner. Think about a sort of world tribe sitting at the table: Coatarican, Hondureño, Chinese, Polish, Italian, Americans with a connection to good food and to have a good time. Think about finding a hidden gem. This was our dinner at Barcelona Bistro. Patatas bravas and Pan y tomate opened the door to the arrival of a charcuterie board displaying a palette of traditional Spanish products (those mini toasts… to die for). The the Piece de la resistance: what would be a Spanish dinner without a Paella? It came properly served in a classic hot paellera, into which my friend Marco and I start digging to find the socarrat, the tasty crispy layer at the bottom of the pan (found it!). A cinnamon flavored Crema Catalana and a proper espresso (thanks God) were the proper closure to the dinner. Cherry on top, Chef Alba came to our table for few minutes. To me it was a beutiful moment. Listening to her story and connection to her food reminded me what this profession really means.

Tapas venue that is to die for. Every dish was divine, and we can not wait to come back. If you like Spanish food, Tapas, or have a soul, then this is the place to try out.

I’ve been 3 times and plan to go back for more. The food is amazing, I dream about the patatas bravas and it’s delicious sauce. It’s mostly a small plates experience, but they do have some bigger entrees. You can tell the chef cares about the food she makes and sometimes comes out to say hello to the patrons, very nice.
Expect to wait for a table during busy hours and the wait staff can take a while to get to you (expected with the shortage of servers at the moment.), but the food is worth it! Also a small parking lot, so you may have to park and walk
a little.

This is THE ABSOLUTE BEST KEEP SECRET, not just in Jtown, but in Louisville. EVERYTHING IS AWESOME and fresh. We waited almost an hour to be seated but it's so so so worth it. The ribs, the crepes, the Paella, the soup, the fresh wine and sangria. I'm so glad we came. So good that I almost didn't want to do a review because I don't want to share how awesome this place was.

We love this place! It's a go to for us when we are feeling a nice date night with a laid back atmosphere and amazing food! We stumbled upon them a while ago and have been going back ever since. Food is always fresh and wonderful, service is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming.

My wife and I received a cordial genuine welcome by Barcelona’s Bistro Bar wait staff! The food was delicious and came out quickly. We enjoyed the atmosphere and coziness of the dining area! We’ll be back!

Something has to get me really riled up to usually post, but I'm telling you every single time we've been here it's been fantastic. We've had everything from ribs to paella to lamb. Every meal has been wonderful. Hazte un favor. Ir a visitar!

(And Tony, while we didn't get the paella this time, when we do... we never leave a grain of rice either.)
