The Garden Grille & Lounge

BEST. FOOD. EVER. My husband and I came here on a Friday night for a fancier dinner. We were a little hesitant at first because the restaurant is basically in the lobby of the hotel but decided to try it anyways. And we are so glad we did. The atmosphere was so perfect. Lights dimmed, candles on the table, fancy music playing. You truthfully couldn’t tell it was in a hotel at all. The chef came out and talked to us multiple times as we ate to check on how everything was tasting and to see if we needed anything else. We ordered the burger and the herb and garlic chicken and were SO impressed with both. We were so full afterwards that we couldn’t bring ourselves to order dessert. So they brought out 2 macaroons for us on the house. We were very impressed overall and will DEFINITELY be coming back!

Chef Josh did an amazing job on our tasting. All of the food was so delicious. Josh was so nice and friendly. Our servers, Kathy and Joey did a fantastic job at taking care of us as well. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone I know. Thank you for the amazing dinner.

You would never believe that this type of dining exists in the heart of Ogden. Executive Chef Josh does AMAZING things here! You would never believe that you were in the restaurant of a Hilton Hotel while dining here. Exquisite dishes, superb service, we did a tasting menu created by Chef Josh and each course that came out was SO GOOD. 5-Star dining that delivers!

We are so excited to have found this gem!! Sure it’s not a typical location, but it was still so nice and quiet! The staff was great! Food was AMAZING, let’s be honest the real reason we go out to eat anyway! We’ll definitely be back! Thank you for a fine dining experience in Ogden!!!

Since becoming a regular visitor to the Ogden area I find there is one chef that I visit at least once while there. Chef Josh at Hilton Garden Inn Hotel is amazing. I didn't have to add any type of seasoning on my filet mignon as it was perfectly seasoned and cooked to my desire. Never disappointed.

Yes....it's at the Hilton Garden Inn but I felt like I was at a high end restaurant. 😊

I'm in my 70's, when I go to a restaurant I expect my meal to exceed my own cooking! With only a few exceptions in the Salt Lake City area, I've been disappointed. Now when I go out, it's only to celebrate my wife's birthday, and then I just expect a normal nice meal. Well, imagine my surprise at the Magic I was about to experience. There were 4 of us, my wife and I, her sister and husband. The Host, Waitress and atmosphere was calm, professional and evidence of a management that cares. My one and only criticism, the menu, the font was hard for this old man to read. My wife snapped a photo with her cell phone and then enlarged it. . . Now, let's get to the Magic. I was overwhelmed with repeated "How did they do this?" First, the Mussels themselves were eclipsed by the broth and "filling", and once devoured, I broke bread into the broth and shed a tear when there was no more. Second, I hate it when restaurants try to make fry sauce "fancy", and sure enough there in front of me was "fancy" fry sauce. With hesitation I dipped a fry and Wow, another taste of magic, "How did they do this?". Third, My sister in law offered me a taste of her risotto, This magic melted in my mouth, and again I'm pondering "How in the hell, did they do this?". . .
I'm a huge mashed potato fan and snob, knowing this, my wife offered me a taste of what I assumed was sweet potatoes or squash, turned out, it was magical mashed potatoes and my Fourth, "How did they do this?". . . Obviously, This is what happens with the right combination of management that cares, and creative Chefs allowed to work magic.
It's been forever, since I've been this impressed. Thank you for a dining experience that far exceeds any of my humble kitchen skills.

We were happily surprised by the delicious, beautifully garnished food and drinks. We enjoyed Salmon Diamante with Cucumber "Caviar" (pearls) and curried potato, and a lovely pesto mushroom risotto. Even the salad had fresh mixed greens, jicama, corn off the cobb, cabbage, cranberries and savory sweet house made glazed walnuts with an excellent house made balsamic. Dulce de Leche creme brulee enhanced with fresh fruit and hazelnut dust was fun. Very nice service with a staff who understood ingredients to ensure items were gluten-free as needed.

Valentine's Day Dinner
This was our 7th Valentine's Day Dinner at the Garden Grille. We absolutely love it and the food is so good and well presented. I love how the Executive Chef, Josh Overturf, will come out to our table and ask how we liked our meal. I know that a lot of time and effort is spent on planning and preparing these meals/menus. We've also dined here for Ogden Restaurant Week and our anniversary and each time the food has been delicious. I have tried food that I normally wouldn't order/eat and have not been disappointed.

I was blown away by the fantastic tasting food and presentation. It reminded me a high-end restaurant in New York. The staff was friendly and personal. I was impressed Chef came out after our meal and visited with us. We had a wonderful experience.

It started 9 years ago With Debbie & Todd joining Gary & I on Valentine’s Day for dinner at The Hilton Garden Inn & Lounge in Ogden, 6 years ago Laura & Ben became a part of our yearly Valentine’s dinner. My Grandson Ryder has been my Valentine for the last few years.❤The Food is so delicious.
Every year I say it’s the Best ever but every year it gets even better. . Chef Josh, and staff members Gideon and Joey made our evening unforgettable.
You need to experience this great food.

My husband and I have eaten here twice now and it’s one of our new favorites! I can’t believe we didn’t know about it sooner! Everything we’ve tried is delicious but we are big fans of the pineapple teriyaki wings and pineapple upside down cake. The service was wonderful, food is amazing and reasonably priced—we’re big fans and will definitely be going back! Such a convenient location too if you’re in the 25th street area. So glad we found this place!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at the restaurant recently, and OMG!! The food prepared by Chef Josh was absolutely amazing!! I don't think I have ever had a better meal anywhere!!! Everything was prepared perfectly. great portions, flavor out of this world, and just the right temperature. The service was excellent also, as they kept our drinks full and cleared the table quickly between courses, without being intrusive. I highly recommend this great restaurant inside the Hilton Garden Inn on Wasington Blvd. in Odgen. A great place for a special occasion or dinner before the movies!!

This is a hidden secret gem. I had no idea such a professional service and food existed, especially is a hotel. This is top line food that tastes as good as it looks. We had scallops, salmon, cauliflower soup, desserts, chicken, etc. The presentation, color, and textures of the food is incredible. The staff puts a lot of thought not only into the food, but also its presentation. I just kept eating and eating and eating and looking forward to the next course.

They use a gastronomy science behind so many little details that most people would over look. If they put that much attention into the little things you can only imagine how great the food tastes. This is something that everyone should experience.

The best dinner I’ve had by far. The service was great and very friendly. The food was even better. The plating was very impressive to look at and the food was way past expectations. The ambience and mood of the setting was very nice as well. Definitely worth going to, whether you’re staying at the hotel or if you’re a local.

Over and beyond what you would expect from a small hotel restaurant. Sweet chili wings were some of the best wings I've ever had! Yummy side Caesar salad. Quality seems pretty good! And they have specials and happy hour! I'd highly recommend eating here if you're looking for a casual relaxing night, good food and are staying at the hotel.

Me and my family love this place very delicious food amazing prices . The chef and staff are really friendly super clean place , will rather eat here then any other place in Ogden . We visit this place often because of its amazing service food and the people that work there.

Chef Overturf is a real one. Rad seeing him the trails and talking story about life and the Mother Earth. Alohas always and looking forward to connecting again.
