Chapel Lake Park

This is an amazingly clean, modern, and peaceful park. The play area is wonderful for toddlers. The City of Jeffersonville knocked it out of the park with this on one, all puns intended. I wish the parks department would fix up some of the inner city and mid city parks to the caliber of this one.

This is a wonderful park tucked back up in the Crystal Springs subdivision in Jeff as you can see in the photos. Ample parking, huge open fields for kites or pick games of football or soccer, paved jogging/walking track. Benches and boulders are set along the side here and there for chatting with friends. There is even a small brook that winds through and a foot bridge There is a pavilion with bathrooms, water hook ups, electric outlets, picnic tables and grills. The pavilion is set overlooking the pond. I neglected to take close up pictures of the play sets and play ground areas for kids but they are just as nice and well thought out as all the other features this park has. The ponds are stocked with fish although I don't exactly what but I ask a father & son fishing if a license was required and it is. There's even a swinging love seat at the waters edge. The pictures don't do it justice believe me. I'm sure they are going to continually improve and maintain this park in time. The only detraction that comes to mind is that along the parks upper perimeter it sits adjacent to a very large tractor trailer driving school so you can hear and see the trucks in that area a bit. Maybe they will plant trees there in the future. If y'all do come out to enjoy it please please please pick up after yourself and keep it just as it is now!

- Seating along paths and over looking lake

- Many parking spots
- Playground and obstacle course
- Bike repair station

I love walking this park's paved path with my bestie and his dog. Picture #3 is a snake skin we found on the path. A couple days before, we found a dead baby copperhead. My bestie was scared and I didn't think to get a picture.

05/09/2022: I personally love the mowed areas because there seem to be less gnats. There's also several groundhog dens on the tree lined path. I finally saw one!

07/24/2022: I wish the crew kept the berms on the east side of the walking path mowed. One can barely see the beautiful firs that were planted. I'm sure those weren't cheap and the overgrown weeds can't be good for them.

New well maintained park. Good playing place for kids. Decent walking trail. Lake is also good size. Unsure if we can boat, but did see a boat loading area. Good place to have outdoor family gathering.

Always a great time when we go out there to fish. It's so peaceful. Although I didn't catch anything, we had a nice morning on the water. Great place to walk...my cell phone barely works out there so it's a great place for me to get away today. Nice playground for kids. And a nice shelter house with picnic tables should you want to bring lunch. They do have restrooms. Also grills at the shelter house. The perfect spot for my husband and I.

Roughly 1.45 miles around the track and usually uncrowded, it's a great place to go for a run nearby. Nice playground, lake and picnic tables for the kiddos as well, always clean and well kept.

Beautiful, clean, and fun. I like to take my kids fishing here (catch and release). Caught some bass and bluegill, albeit small ones.

What a hidden piece of beauty, peacefulness and tranquility near River Ridge! Took a nice walk around the lake and the trail, nothing but peace and quiet!

We took our Grandkids here. They enjoyed fishing and playing at the park. We brought some lunch and enjoyed the picnic tables as well. This park is beautiful and clean.

Peaceful park . Catch / release pond . Small playground but very nice for kids

This is a newer park so it is still growing and has not yet had time to age too much. But at least currently it is really nice. “Lake”?? Well good sized pond but still nice.

Just found this park today. It was nice. The play area has a spongy like surface to walk on. The play area is wood, not like a regular playground. The lake was pretty, lots of butterflies & dragonflies. The walking trail looks great, Im sure I will visit again to try the trail out.

Nice new park. Has a nice shelter house and bathroom. Great playground with a recycled rubber matting. Nice blacktop trail for walking or biking. Once the drainage project is finished you will be able to make a full loop around the park.

Beautiful park with walking trail and small, serene lake. There are bench swings near lake to enjoy water view.. A part of the trail is shady. Playground is very nice with beautiful wood (or looks like) equipment. Very nicely designed.
