Had to get some screws for tv mounting bracket. The instructions were no help. Dieruf hardware not only had what I needed, but the customer service is far superior than any big chain store. Those big chain stores Can never answer a question I have. Nobody there wants to help you.

We've shopped at Dieruf Hardware for years, and there's something to be said about the level of customer service with a locally owned business. Not only does Ben's team work hard to personalize service, they take customer satisfaction very seriously. We are always happy to shop, here, over many of the Big Box stores in the area knowing that we will receive the most attention at Dieruf. They go the extra mile to help with purchase selections and make sure that customers are met with knowledge and expertise. They also ensure that every detail is paid attention to, including making purchases easy for their customers. When our parents wanted to make a major purchase as a Christmas gift for my husband and I, Ben patiently worked with them over the phone to help them make their purchase from Cincinnati. Even over the phone, they were impressed with his customer service skills and the ease they found making a purchase with him. We are grateful for this experience for them, and the many we've had ourselves in the store.

Rented a dingo from them as I have before however, this time the lever broke off while just starting to use the machine. My time is very limited and have only one day that I'm off work and able to use the machine so this could've been big issue. Ben was absolutely great! He had me send picture of lever and he ordered the part, it came in the following week. Ben allowed me to hold onto machine through weekend as well to get my work completed and it worked out perfectly, got all my work done in one day. This is a great place to rent equipment and rest assured Ben will take care of you if you have a problem, Thank You Dieruf's hardware!

Family owned and operated since 1946. Owner and staff treat you like family. The feeling of an old time hardware store that has been modernized. Prices are very competitive with the big box stores. If you have project you might need help with, they are knowledgeable and willing to help. They also rent anything from tools to Bobcats. They also fill propane tanks on site.

Well stocked, well lit, clean hardware store. These are becoming a rarity. It's nice to still have a place where I can buy (1) 1/4-20 nut, if that's what I need. Hands down, the best selection of Midwest Fastener (specialty and uncommon hardware) around. Prices are reasonable.

Need a place to fill a propane tank for your grill or camper on the weekend? We did, we searched all over then we came across Dieruf hardware and they filled the tanks in our camper for us on a Sunday! Thank you guys for making sure we could stay warm! Very nice customer service!

The shopping experience at Dieruf's hardware is consistently exceptional, the prices are competitive with (if not equal to) large hardware stores and they have a diverse selection of tools and machinery for rent to use in almost any DIY project.

The current owner recently helped me in accomodating my situation regarding the rental of a piece of equipment. He was very understanding of my unexpected schedule change and worked with me so that I would be fairly charged in a delay of returning the machine.

Also, on that same visit, when I purchased a full propane tank (tank included), the price was less than any other store in town.

Dieruf hardware has secured my patronage for life because the employees are knowledgeable and polite, the store itself is always clean and presentable AND they offer free popcorn while you are shopping! I feel like my visits are welcome and the staff and owner actually care about me, rather than just making a sale.

Finally, if you need advice on a DIY project, the folks at Dieruf have the experience to lend to make sure that the undertaking is done correctly and in a timely manner. JTown is fortunate to have a small business such as Dieruf in our community.

Dieruf Hardware is always the first place i call or visit when i have hardware needs. As soon as i walk in someone will ask me what i need, take me to the area of the store where i can find it, and help me figure out how to use it. AND they are competitely priced as those big box stores. One employee knew how much grass seed I needed because and i quote "I live near your house and I know the size of your yard." You don't get that at the big box.

This is my favorite Dieruf story. I was looking for something to put on my flowers to keep the squirrels out without hurting them. I found something on the Internet that was made from granulated coyote urine. Don't ask me how they got the coyotes to pee in the bottles.

The price on the internet was 19.99 plus shipping. I thought "I wonder if Dieruf carries this? " so I went there. I walked in and the guy asked "What can i help you find? " I said (just for fun) "I'm looking for granulated coyote pee." He looked at me for a second amd said "Let me show you where it is. " It was the same stuff that was sold on the internet and it was 17.99 and no shipping. They made me a loyal customer that day.
