Jeffersontown High School

Jeffersontown High School is an excellent school. I am a 2013 student and I enjoy being a part of the school and I take pride in being there. All my teachers care about my success personally and educationally. The engineering program is top notch with up to date computers and programs. The principal, assistant principals, councilors, and staff are constantly interacting with their students and help to make sure that they succeed in anyway that they can. I highly recommend this school to anyone that wishes to become an engineer (like myself) or interested in fields of work that require welding or machine tool education.

I had my daughter in catholic schools before she started high school I took her to Ballard because I thought it would be the best school for her but Ballard had 600 incoming freshman and my child lost her voice and became this emo girl I didn't know. I moved her to jtown and her grades are up and the school actually cares about her and wants to help her. When I call they actually answer the phone when I email they reply. It's a whole new world!

Love the Students,Teachers and all the Staff. Very fun experiences and memories had at this school and I'm only in my freshman year and I already love it.Lots of moral support from staff and dedication for students.

Great school just the students who can't act their age is the problem great teacher and staff that are always trying to make it a better and safer school

This school isn't even bad. It's all the people who act like they're 10 that make it bad.

Good classes

I am a parent with 3 children in this school. I think other parents should know that Jtown is NOT for the faint of heart. If you want your children to be made responsible for their OWN lives, send them here!! Their band department is WONDERFUL as well as the Marine Corps ROTC program. The teachers work very hard and there is extra help every night of the week. You kids CAN succeed and thrive at Jeffersontown High, but ONLY if they are willing to work at it.

Fights. Teachers that watch fights happen but do nothing. Security that doesn't seem to be very involved. Not a great experience. Somewhat dangerous. A few "special education" kids are allowed to run through the halls and jump on tables and endanger other student with no intervention from any school officials. Bullying is a big problem. There are a few teachers that should not be allowed to teach children, due to the verbal abuse that goes on. The brightest points in this school are the JROTC program and the arts programs.

The school is horrible. They accuse you of crimes without evidence.
