Amazing lunch prices everyday of the week! I had steak fajitas with chorizo. $10 with a drink included. This is my first time at Ernesto’s , but it won’t be my last.

My family and I ate here for the first time last week! The food was really good, and a decent price. I had the seafood and steak fajita, which was super tasty! The waiter was friendly and stayed on top of our needs as a table. If you like Mexican cuisine food, don't be afraid to try them out.

Ernesto has worked diligently to make this the best Mexican restaurant for miles around. The food is excellent and he even cook's to a reasonable request. The building looks WELL maintained as it should... and 99% of Mexican restaurant building establishments do NOT look properly maintained. He is there everytime I visit so I know he is actively involved in making it a GOOD experience. As of this writing I will say, the prices at his establishment can't be beat. Fantastic experience all the way around. Ernesto is a fantastic human... trying to make your experience a good one.

5 star everything!!! Chips are the freshest in town! Salsa has the best flavor! Cheese dip-hands down-the best! Servers-also the best(especially Miko)!!! Never had Pollo Playa better than theirs-so flavorful!!! Top notch from the food to the bathroom!!!

Ernesto is the best! My wife and I have eaten some of the best Mexican food in Texas, New Mexico, California and Mexico and this place is the real deal. The Chile rellenos is the best I’ve ever had. One of the best menu selections. Something for everyone. Even my picky relatives found something to enjoy. Great atmosphere, super friendly. Keep it up Ernesto!

The fajitas are awful, served lukewarm and some sort of sauce on them 🤮 was very disappointing. It has gone downhill from a year ago. The beans were watered ...just one of the worst lunches i have ever had ...and i use to like the place.

My Aunt and I went and let me tell you .everyone should check this restaurant out the food was amazing the service was topnotch and the price you just won't believe and the amount of food you get is amazing the owner is a really nice man so down to earth you all just need to go and see for yourself.

Three weeks later: I had the $8 lunch special #4 chimichanga pork or chicken plus soft drink. There was an extra charge of $1 for pork that was not noted on the menu. They charge $7.49 or $8.49 with no notice on the menu. They charge for using a credit card with no notice. I stopped using my previous Mexican restaurant for such undisclosed overcharges.

Good and service still excellent.

First time at Ernesto’s. I drove up and down Emory Dr but could not find it. I even searched two strip malls on Emory Dr. As I was about to drive off, I saw a tall sign in Wesleyan Park Plaza shopping center.

I had #17 steak and shrimp with mushrooms and onions, rice and beans. The rice was the best I ever had. The salsa was hotter than I like, but I ate it. They had functional straws, not a half inch peeking over the rim of the glass. Excellent service. The ones I met all had good English. They did try to charge a credit card fee without notice on the menu or a sign at the cashier. Ernesto himself canceled the charge and I paid in cash. I intend to go back.

Not a bad bite in the place! Excellent food, generous portions. Friendly folks there. Ernesto’s treats you like one of the family.

I have been SLEEPING on this place. Real Hacienda has been my go to for a WHILE. We gi ally checked this place out and let me tell you, EXCELLENT menu, you can definitely find something you want. Prices are excellent. Service was terrific. I am So Sorry Real Hace, but I have found my new go to place.
Chips were nice and fresh, salsa was excellent. The tacos were some of the best I've had. My wife enjoyed the Carne Asada Tacos, and the pineapple burrito was LOADED down with meat. Ernesto's, don't change a single thing! You have gained a loyal customer!

If I had to mention a single negative, it would just be go have your waiters come out 2-3 minutes after the food is served go make sure everything is OK. I feel rude having to flag someone down for something. We sat and waited about 5 minutes for Cheese and Sour cream for my wife's tacos before I had to flag them down, but in absolutely no way did that effect the outcome of my experience there. I will definitely be back, and anytime we got out with friends, I'll fight to come here.

I ordered the #32 tonight and it was absolutely incredibly. Our waiter Henry, was on top of everything and got our food and drinks out quickly he was super respectful. The best Mexican food I've had in Owensboro in a while

We went during lunch on a weekday. The staff was very friendly and got to us right away. I had a burrito with shredded chicken. The smoked flavor was unique from other local Mexican restaurants. It was quite surprising and delicious! My kids, who can be very picky eaters, enjoyed their meals, as well. Ernesto made the visit more personable by visiting with us like we were old friends instead of random customers.
