Oakdale Cemetery

We have family and friends buried there,they needs to keep the grass maintain.but the place is very clean.the owner is hard to catch up with,besides they nice place to go and visit deceased family members

They keeps it clean most of the time could be a little more cleaner and the owner is so hard to get in contact with the markers need to be placed where they can be seen

This place is beautiful and peaceful. It's like a little hidden piece of the country in the middle of Lemay.

The headstones are covered up. The cemetery is responsible for keeping the stones visible. When they are half or fully covered with grass and mud the families cannot find their loved ones.
We have multiple family members buried there and I am appalled at the lack of maintenance.

I don't understand why is it taking over a year to get a headstone no one will call you back. I asked for proof that it was made and he couldn't give me any proof. I want my dad's headstone or money back ASAP. I paid for it over a year ago

While in town visiting my family we decided to visit our deceased family at Oakdale Cemetery. I only wish our family was in a better location. This cemetery is very hard to find because its located behind another main Cemetery.

Therefore, your GPS will have a time trying to locate it. The grounds could be kept up much better. There were a lot of dead grass and wild weeds throughout the grounds.

The display markings on the section are out of sequence, which makes it difficult to locate your loved ones plot. Considering we have at least 12-14 loves ones here we were only able to visit 4 because of the confusion.

Oakdale Cemetery should consider adding a website and having an annual fundraiser to raise funds for ground maintenance. I'm sure family members would contribute monthly or annually for such a worthy cause.

My Mother and I placed an order for a headstone for my brother’s gravesite in August of 2021. She paid for it upfront and the headstone still has not been placed. It probably hasn’t even been ordered. We will be taking legal action against the cemetery. The owner is unresponsive and doesn’t care about the families who bury their loved ones there. They screen calls and only answer/ call people back if they are inquiring about a new burial plot. This has caused a great deal of stress for my family. I know a lot of people are tied to that cemetery because they’ve buried loved ones there in the past but I advise you to find another final resting place for your loved ones. This place is TRASH!

It has been almost a year since my grandmother’s passing. We paid for the headstone in full with a cashiers check and we still don’t have a headstone. My mother and I tried calling them for months and left voicemails. My mother’s friend called and was able to talk to someone and ask if he can get the phone number to the manufacturer who is making the headstone and unfortunately, Oakdale can not provide the contact information to the manufacturer. This is very frustrating!

The only reason I gave it 1 star is because there is no option for 0. My mother and aunts paid for my uncle's headstone and also paid to upgrade my grandfather's headstone from a flat to a standing headstone. They both were supposed to be ready and laid in June of 2021 and has yet to be done. We call and get no answer; we've gone over there and they were closed during business hours. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and still received no response from the cemetery. Our next step will be to go up there around the times they usually do the burials and if we have to take that route, we'll be coming with legal representation

Called the number to gather information on the process for burying my father, who died yesterday, and the man who answered was a d*ck. He said I was bothering him! He asked my name four times(to which I told him each time) and asked why I was calling and what I wanted. Despite my repeating ' I'm calling for information on burying my father. Can you help me and tell me the process?'. This Lemay trash needs to be buried there himself. He was drunk or off his medication.

I purchased a headstone for my Mother last year and never received any information about the stone or any call backs from this guy which has taken my money with no headstone I wouldn’t recommend this place to no one and I mean no one/Legal action must take place

My mother was buried on May of last year and her headstone still is not on will be contacting channel 2 news if not on when I travel to St. Louis on mother’s day this is sad and unacceptable!!!!!

Mytammtamm, has anyone taken legal action against this place for keeping money for paid headstones?

Horrible service. Stay away from this place
