South Florida Regional Transportation Authority / Tri-Rail

Anytime I have to go to South Florida for work I get a slight feeling of dread, given what driving in SE Florida is like!

Over my past three trips, I have more fully discovered the convenience of Tri-Rail. Stations from Miami International Airport to West Palm Beach, fares that are probably too cheap (though, keeping fares cheap is important, in my opinion, since it provides good transport for those of us on limited incomes and that might not own a car).

And, FREE shuttles from many of the stations!!! What is there not to like! I love it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the efficient, thorough and extremely courteous treatment I received during a phone call to tri rail. Few people would have the patience to adequately explain how to acquire the senior citizen/disabled discount card and to give detailed directions on how to transfer to metro rail and return. I believe the person I spoke with was "Patricia". I am no longer afraid to use tri rail.

First time out of state rider. Cheap fare of $5.00 for one way ticket Miami Airport to West Palm Beach Airport. On time then took a Tri Rail shuttle bus to airport which was an easy connection and included in the fare. Only one suggestion that you should not to use their bathrooms on train. The train I was on was unuseable and too filthy to describe. Use clean restroom at the station before boarding the train.

Literally feel like I am solving a calculus problem every time I try to figure out which way each track goes. Sometimes track 2 just does not go north anymore (???) and it is on track 1 and the only way you know that is if you might maybe spot a tiny sign saying that somewhere. And that changes on every station. Sometimes it is a paper sign, sometimes it is on the digital announcement thing. It is even more fun when you are in a hurry somewhere. The machines that give out tickets look like they were nuked, but they still function so I guess that works. The train's interior is just standard. C+ for this system actually working I guess.
I just wish everything was just more clear and obvious.

I want to give Tri Rail 5 stars because (theoretically) it's so convenient. But the train system constantly suffers from delays. I've been delayed as long as an hour, but the average is between 20-25 minutes. Other than that, it's clean, safe, has wifi, armed security and honestly the best way to beat traffic on i95 or expensive tolls on the turnpike.

Public transportation in Florida is horrible. If 1 train is down everything behind it stops. What part of punctual don't they get. People have jobs and school to get to.

This agency's train service is a terrible neighbor, they park their trains overnight adjacent to apartment buildings in downtown West Palm Beach. Idling the trains and spewing nosise and fumes pollution all night.

My ticket my violent ticket was confiscated by the security because you don't understand how the tickets I'm very unhappy on how I was treated

The tri rail couldn't take me to my destination because of a pedestrian getting hit by the train a few stops away. I had to wait 2 hours for the next bus along wit 100s of other people that were annoyed. I had to request uber and pay $90 to get to my destination because the back up plans were handled poorly. I called the company and asked for a reimbursement of the uber receipt and they declined my request. I will never take tri rail ever again unless they reimburse me for my money.

Always late and very unreliable. I find myself driving more and more every week. Why do i even bother with this thing. The trains constantly smell as if they are i giant moving portolete. Sewage water from the restrooms constantly on the floor. The seats have questionable stains on them that make me want to stand my entire ride. Hopefully someone from tri rail reads this review because im not the only one that feels this way. One good thing is that all the staff is friendly.

Fix your issues tri rail before i take it to the news and you can bs them and let them know how you plan on fixing your issues. I see a nice new tri rail building going up in pompano but trains in disrepair and dirty. How about we get the trains operational before building a nice new building.

If you have the Golden Pass and the Trirail discount fare and carry them together,when you tap the golden pass, it will charge the Trirail card too. When I called to try to get a refund, they refused by saying, we don't give refunds, If I ride for free in dade county, why is the trail card even registering transactions? Trirail likes to play with peoples money, which I think, why is BRIGHTBART being built when these services can't even regulate in unison when is and whats not discounted fares.

Unbelievable how they take your money! Your suppose to scan your easy card on this kiesok before and after train ride. If you don't its a possible penlaty. But if you scan and don't use the train guess what? NO REFUND. How's that for customer service.I been robbed for my money two times from this transportation service. For one who is unemployed and any little penny I get I work hard for! This reason I will no longer use the tri rail train system. Sunny places with the Shadiest people.
