Dr. Tanveer Chaudhry - MD

I am most impressed by Dr, Chaudhry. If you’re not ready to face your demon he’s not for you, if you’re ready he is the Dr. you’re looking for.
I am so impressed by his approach, analogies, and to the point behavior. Not at all arrogant or belittling as I am reading in the comments, I am a middle aged woman and found his warm honesty refreshing.
Of the 3 Psychiatrists and 2 Cognitive Therapists I have seen, Dr. Chaudhry was the perfect mix of both.
I highly recommend him if you are looking for healing and not a bandaid in a bottle.

All those negative reviews: bogus. Dr Chaudhry isn't about small talk, lengthy ramblings, etc. He compassionately and empathetically forces the patient to answer questions with 100% honesty. Most people aren't able to do that. They fight his help . In order for one to be diagnosed and put on the path of healing and recovery, one must accept the old adage that 'the truth hurts'. Yet, those who are committed to dropping the walls to let him in will find he is a superb quick-thinking diagnostician. The naysayers have, unfortunately for them, lost the best opportunity to for direct, accelerated recovery.
Leave your ego at the door and get to work.

Dr. Chaudhry's approach to mental health and medication is refreshing. He is professional, personable and pragmatic. My first appt. went quite well and I already have a plan in place, a therapist and a nurse practitioner. My goal is to someday be medication-free and Dr. Chaudhry shares that same goal.

Dr. Chaudhry literally saved my life by being understanding and well educated and compassionate all at the same time. Believe me, I have been seeing mental health therapists and psychiatrists for over 40 yrs! Dr. Chaudhry is the first and one and only psychiatrist to actually listen to my experience with numerous drugs and has been successfully treating me for panic attacks and depression for over 10 yrs now. He truly cares about his patients and I couldn't even imagine seeing anyone else. I also see Dr. Lambert for therapy sessions. She too, has helped me more than any other! And the office staff are always kind and understanding and sometimes will go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of to meet your needs! I highly recommend Solace Behavior Health for all aspects of one's well being and state of mind.

Switching my treatment to Dr Chaudry has been the most effective self care I have done. He is by far, the most competent psychiatrist I have seen here in Hernando County. I am most impressed by his concern in viewing me in a holistic manner and not just in one area of speciality. I'm thankful that he takes the time to compare and contrast between my medical treatment plan and my psychological one. Most importantly, Dr. Chaudry does not hesitate to return calls or set appointments as needed. I am very pleased with his quality of work and drive to keep me well.

Dr Chaudhry is very easy to talk to. Understood my issues completely, helped me with medication issues and even gave me lots of information to help with my issue. He matched me with a fantastic therapist who I mesh well with. Office staff is friendly and helpful. Love the new office downstairs. I would highly recommend Dr Chaudhry!

Dr Chaudhry was one of the few doctors I've ever seen for my PTSD who actually listened to me...This was a such a refreshing change from the Veteran's Administration approach...Which is to ignore you until you threaten to blow your brains out...Or medicate you until you forget why you came in the first place...I trust him...And his courteous staff...All good people...And very dedicated to their patients.

Unfortunately, it's usually only the complainers that bother to write reviews and that's terribly unfair...For all concerned...But my experience was quite positive and inspiring.

Dr Chaudhry is a great doctor. It has taken many years to get the correct medications to help and it would not have happened without him. His staff is fantastic. I have never had to wait more than fifteen minutes for my appointment.

My first impression with Dr. Chaudhry is a positive one. He is a compassionate doctor who looks for the root cause of your problems and attempts to solve them. If you're open minded and looking for someone who wants to help you get better, Dr. Chaudhry is a good choice.

Dr. Chaudhry was amazing. He was able to help me with everything that I needed. His conversation was clear and to the point, letting me know what I needed to know without any fluff. He set me on a path to a healthier mental state.

Dr. Chaudhry really cares. He occasionally calls my husband for a status update on my mental health. I have been a patient of his for several years and would highly recommend him.

Dr C is truly a compassionate and understanding doctor. Have always felt comfortable talking to him and know he will give guidance and knowledge to resolve problems.

Nice psychiatrist who talks to you, not just a script writing conveyor belt. Highly recommend.

I bought my mother to see him years ago and he was very rude and sarcastic to me. I've seen him myself and he's one of the least compassionate psychiatrists I've known or heard of. I'm from New Jersey and the mental health care there is by far more superior. If a doctor doesn't care about you emotionally move along to someone better. If you can get to Tampa there are far better mental health people there.

I have been seeing Dr. Chaudhry since January. At first I thought he was a compassionate man dedicated to his profession. As a retired RN I now know he is full of hate and totally lacking in compassion. Knowingly, he allowed my medication to run out causing sever withdrawal. My blood pressure shot through the roof. I developed a very bad headache. This is very dangerous as I have Glaucoma. Twice now I have been unable to get my Rx. This man knew this and chose not to act. I admit to being driven to a verbal assault on his staff. They blame him, he blames them and they both blame the pharmacy and I'm left in the middle with no medication. He had my request for Rx to stop withdrawal and ignored it. I now must wean myself off this med and try to survive without it. If you are considering this doctor I strongly urge you to find another. This man is heartless. Quite possibly a Muslim as his name is Ahmed. This, if true, explains his hate for Christians. Don't walk away from this vile person, Run.

I would never recommend Dr. Chaudrhy to anyone! I had an appointment with him...my mom was with me. He started saying that medicine doesn't even work and that I should just get over it on my own. He then proceeded to talk about suicide. I told him that I'm not suicidal tho and he said "stop making this about you." He looked to my mom and said "ma'am, your psychotic." At that point both my mom and I were crying and had to get up and leave. This man is a horrible person!

He told me to breathe thru hearing voices and having severe anxiety. He said if there's no one coming at me with a machete or a bomb I'm fine. Also when I told him about my fear of public he told me to wait till someone attacked me from behind to worry about it. He's aweful and the place he works solace behavioral health is aweful too they don't care very unprofessional and rude. Don't recommend AT ALL!!

Incompetent. My husband went to see him (1st apt, a psych RN) the first thing that came out of his mouth was: 'I'm just going to write you this script to get you out of my office.' He judges a book by its cover. Literally. Living in fantasy world. That's how much he cares about his patients. He's been on meds nearly twenty years. Only recently got over anxiety where he would have out of body panic attacks but the doctor he was seeing who knew exactly what to look for closed his office. This man is stuck in the old word dogma of psychiatry and has no concept of communication or patient insight, and appears to only favor patients who are 'interesting' to him. Fantastic at catering to his own whims, I will say that. A position as a university professor would be better suited for his self-absorbed, hateful personality. Edit: after reading the reviews I am extremely concerned for how long term patient care will affect my husband. Something needs to be done about this at board level. I have no idea how he hasn't been sued yet .
