A Disney experience my family won’t forget. We had dinner here at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It was like taking a trip into the 1950s at this eatery. The servers make the experience unforgettable for families. I ordered “A Sampling of Mom’s Favorites.” It was served complete with meatloaf, beef pot roast, and fried chicken (mashed potatoes and green beans on the side). My girls both had chicken tenders. Their sides were a fruit cup, mac n cheese, and a cupcake. For the price, I was hoping the food wouldn’t disappoint. We enjoyed it!

So to be honest I had no interest of eating here. Went with friends and this was recommended and chosen. Let me tell you I was shocked by the deliciousness of the simple “comfort” foods. The food was extremely delicious. I got the platter and so did the other adults. Rave reviews by all. The kids got chicken and they loved it as well! Some of the best and juiciest friend chicken I’ve ever had and the pot roast was delicious!! Would definitely come back again! The turn back in time was lovely and I wish my house had some of these retro elements! The staff was great too!

The 50's Prime Time Café is one of the most unique dining experiences you can have! The mid-century decor, vintage television shows playing everywhere, and gingham checked, quick-wit waitstaff will take you back in time! Menu is classic American comfort food...not fancy, but wonderfully prepared and delicious! Don't be surprised if you are "scolded" for cellphone use, elbows on the table, or not pushing in your chair. Reservations are a must! Don't miss this place! Highly recommended!

THE BEST fried chicken I’ve ever had. Brought me back to my childhood is both flavour and atmosphere. A priceless experience I won’t soon forget. Thank you Cousin Craig for the wonderful
Service. The portions are huge to be aware, 4 pieces of fried chicken was more than most could eat but with my help we cleaned our plates and I over ate 😊

Excellent fried chicken, deviled eggs and shrimp and grits. You have to try the fried cheese. Our server was phenomenal and we love the vintage themed atmosphere. Definitely a great spot for family dining and some laughs. Keep your elbows off the table and eat all your veggies.

5 stars across the board! From the food, to the decor, and the service, it was all top notch. Nothing better than a family meal with a scolding from our cousin server for elbows on the table.
Best meatloaf of my life.

October 2023:

This was our first time dining at 50’s Prime Time Cafe where reservations are required. I made a “Fantasmic! Dining Package” lunch reservation about a week and half before arriving at WDW. This allowed us to not enjoy a delicious meal with passes for VIP seating at Fantasmic!.

The outside had that Midcentury-Modern architecture and as you walk inside you are transformed to the 1950s. While being escorted to our table we walked by little rooms reflecting my grandmother’s kitchen. It was pretty cool how they did it where our 50’s decor was impressive with the furniture, small black & white TV (clips of classic sitcom shows on it), and classic table setting.

The cast members are also in character to transform you back in time when food had no preservatives, television was in its Golden Age, and innocence was profound. It was a fun atmosphere.

We ordered the Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken and Caesar Salad with Chicken. It was a lot of chicken where it was four huge pieces and I had to help my wife eat it. The chicken was really good with tremendous flavor. The Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes with it was just as good. The salad was not bad either with fresh greens and soft cut chicken breast strips. Overall it was another great meal at a WDW restaurant.

My wife and I really like to eat here when we visit Disney's Hollywood Studios. The decor takes us back in time as do the black and white TVs playing shows like Andy Griffith.

This trip we tried the Cornbread Skillet, which was a delight, and we both had Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken which is the best fried chicken you could ask for. Chicken meat was moist and delicious, with a golden, crispy coating. Sensational !

The portions were very generous. We will be back.

NOTE: Please make reservations.
We had the Fantasmic VIP dining package. This is the pricier option but worth it if you go to the Fantasmic show.

The ambiance…
It’s decorated in 50’s decor. The staff’s uniforms are in 50’s attire. We had a cozy two-seater table. Our original cousin, was a momma’s boy (per him) which is why he wasn’t rude. But then there was Michael. I had a great time going back and forth with him.

The food…
We both had Aunt Liz’s golden fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn. I must admit, the fried chicken was so good! We received four pieces: breast, thigh, leg, and wing. No, we could not eat all! You definitely can share the chicken but not enough sides to share. For dessert, we had the pineapple upside-down cake. It was delicious too!

I’d definitely go again!

This is my favorite restaurant at Disney world, as a kid I remember the first time going once MGM studios opened I probably was 7 or 8 years old over the last 32 years I've probably been to this park 30 times and only been able to get reservations three times and that was only because those were planned out trips that we were able to book in advance when doing a random last minute day at the park there were no reservations available at a decent time. On a Monday in the middle of April 2024 we were able to score 6:00 dinner when we got to the park at 11:00 in the morning only deciding we wanted to go to the park at 10:30 the same morning and I have to say the food was just as amazing and memorable as when I was 3 years old. The root beer float the meatloaf chicken and pot roast was amazing being so exhausted it was a bit too much dealing with the elbows on the table sticking to the script about cell phones have we gone for lunch we probably would have had more fun with it. This is a place I highly recommend if it's your first trip go for the combo of chicken pot roast and meatloaf if you're really hungry try the pot pie as an appetizer and I highly recommend a root beer float or a milkshake. If you are deciding to go to the park last minute as soon as you get your ticket try to reserve a 6:00 to 6:30 dinner spot that will get you to the show on time lunch is also just as good however it is very filling and all you want to do is watch a laser show after.

This is a must visit restaurant for me every time I'm in Hollywood Studios. I have so much fun here!

We arrived earlier than our reservation, checked in and grabbed some drinks from the bar. They were delicious. Soon after, we were seated by a lovely older woman.

Our waitress was funny and scolded both my brother and husband several times. It was entertaining to watch them be reprimanded for being bad children.

It was also hilarious to see other tables around us experiencing similar situations. We even saw one lady with a paper hat because she wasn't listening.

The food is outstanding. It reminds me of old school, home cooked meals. I can't wait to visit again!!

Best pot roast, chicken and mashed potatoes. Loved the snarkiness of the staff and making sure we kept our elbows off the table. Thanks uncle Tim.

Let me start by saying that this place is a must try!
Everywhere I had food within Diney, I felt the food was too salty but I genuinely enjoyed my meal here. I must say that I asked for low sodium for my chicken and also asked for my salad dressing on the side. But the quality of food was great none the less.
Our server, Stephanie, was an absolute blast. We had so much belly laugh and she just made our day.
For meals, we got the fried chicken, Ceasar salad with grilled chicken, and the Sampling plate.

I have to be honest. I came here years ago and I didn’t find anything remarkable. This year I’ve been there 2 times and I am loving it more and more. We had both of the times (coincidentally ) THE BEST SERVER EVER! It’s hard to make me laugh till I cry, and she did!! We love her, and we deeply suggest you to ask for her! She’s gonna make your experience unforgettable!! Thank you so very much Amanda E, for making our memories everlasting!

Oh food is very nice too! Ahaha we love the meatloaf there! Worth it worth it worth it! Especially with Amanda making jokes!

“Keep your elbows off the table! “ Manners matter in the family kitchen. Love the black and white tv the show at the tables. Tim was awesome! He seemed truly like a family member cracking wise jokes with us.
Food was great!! Definitely try the deviled eggs with jalapeños… they were not spicy!
Book in advance to get your seat.
Stop in the lounge to grab a drink while you wait for your table. They give you a color changing ice cube to keep.

Go ahead and shut your eyes and transport back to the 1950's. Mom is busy in the back cooking up some fine grub. Dad is on his way home ready to read his paper and relax after a long day at work. Cousin Greg is ready to serve the best food inside a Disney Park. This is a must visit for any park goer hands down. Book it you won't be dissapointed.

Funny decoration, we got a moms table in front of the TV. Chocolate milkshake is so yummy. Service is excellent catering to food allergy for soy-free option. All the food comes in simple white plates for amazingly delicious. Chicken is tender and flavour is not too strong, just perfect.

Grandma’s homemade cooking! Better follow the rules though or you will hear about it! You are family here! The servers are ton of fun and sassy to boot. Better finish everything on your plate! Such a fun place to eat. Food is great. Fun for the whole family!
