Lake Biwa Pavilion

Very good park for walking and relaxing 😌muitas tartarugas e iguana’s

This is a small park in front of Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens off Jog Road. It has one large pavilion which can be rented for parties/events. Most of the time the pavilion is empty so you can use it. There are two other small covered pavilions with 4 picnic tables and paved walkways making wheelchair/walkers access easy. Six other uncovered picnic tables are in the area. The main pavilion has bathrooms which are always in good condition.

The park has a large grass area where people take their dogs for runs and have seen people flying drones there. There is also a small playground for kids. It’s not the best playground in the area but if you have young kids they will enjoy it.

The gem of the park are the walking trails through wooded areas. These are not marked in any way but the park is small enough that you can’t get lost. My wife and I often do 5K runs there since it’s one of the few parks with shaded paths. It’s just the right size to get 5K done. I’m not really sure where this park ends and Morikami starts. It feels like one large park. Morikami has a fenced area for paying visitors only.

The park is worth a visit if you want to have a picnic, take a walk or run or just take a beach chair and hang out without any crowds. The parking area is large but people also park in the back grass field.

The purpose of this outing was to visit the Japanese Museum and Gardens but got sidetracked by the activities at the pavilion. Wonderful vendors, healthy foods, scents, merchandise and conversation. We will make it to the Museum another day. Well worth the detour. Fun for all!! Second Saturday of each month.

RMBJJ Academy held their annual Brazilian BBQ here and it was superb. The pavilion was big with easily accessible bathrooms. The walkway down to the water was safe and the Gazebo was safe for kids and adults to stand on while looking for different sea creatures. RMBJJ Academy of Del Ray Beach, Florida picked the perfect spot to host an enjoyable family barbecue!

I was looking for a quiet park for a quick walk between appointments. This was perfect. I felt safe even though nobody else was there with me. I'd go back again.

This was an excellent isolated park to hang with friends and family. We got the pavilion pretty much the whole day, with little to no disruption at all. Great for BBQ's

Absolutely gorgeous spot. Lots of wildlife and beautiful lake view.

Serene spot with a nice pond view. Perfect for making amends or dueling to settle your differences with friends. Also, there are lots of iguanas there.

Has a lot of mosquitoes, definitely a pretty view but bring bug spray

There is a picnic pavilion, playground and a sweet little pond filled with turtles and fish. Very peaceful and beautiful.

Quiet, peaceful, and clean. A nice place to stop for a picnic lunch and some time for the kids to play on the playground.

Great place. Clean and well taken care of for rental use. Very nice!

This is an awesome little area.
You can even go there if you need a outdoor place for meditation and prayer.

A perfect place to take your kids or dogs to explore the many trails surrounding Morikami gardens.
