I'm an Airbus A320 pilot from China, with 10,000 flight hours on the type. I found it challenging to apply for a pilot job with only one license, therefore I sought to transfer my license to an FAA license, and a friend recommended 1StepPrep Flight Training Academy in Miami, Florida. I recently completed flight training there and couldn't be more satisfied. The instructors' expertise and rich knowledge significantly enhanced my learning experience. The chief himself is young and talented. The school's cleanliness added to the positive environment, creating an excellent atmosphere for training. Additionally, the academy's proximity to both Boeing and Airbus simulators provides convenience for anyone seeking initial or upgrade training in a specific type. This unique and effective approach truly sets this school apart.

The training program was not only effective but also fast. Despite my extensive experience with this type, I still learned a lot. To the pilots who want their interview more than anything and be successful.

This is my second post after the successful completion of the B737-800NG. Shortly after my type, I decided to go ahead and do the interview prep with Joe at 1 Step Prep Academy. This interview prep helped me overcome my interview fears, get over nervousness, and clean up my interview questions and answers. I have to say, when I walked into the classroom interview setting, Joe put me right at ease. We first reviewed how to dress appropriately and be sharp at my interview. Details are everything in Joe’s eye because he is a recruiter himself, so he knows how to point out what an interviewer is looking for.

We then went over hours of information on how to be successful, which is also on his website—airline Interview Prep. He helped me become structured and confident while I answered questions as we did a mock interview. The whole process was worth every investment because a few weeks later, I received my CJO at the Airline I wanted. My interviewer was blown away by how sharply I answered questions and spoke.

The confidence I built with Joe catapulted me to become successful in my interview. Now, I have a class date with an incredible new aircraft. 1 Step Prep helped me learn how to study any new aircraft and become successful as an ATP pilot.

1 Step Prep has been and will be the most important decision I have ever made in my aviation career. What a remarkable group of people full of knowledge, understanding, and will to make the student become successful. It started with one phone call. Alexis, who explained to me about their programs and guided me in the right direction. From there, I joined the B737 Initial training. The ground school is amazing and the Boeing facility is fantastic. It was a pleasure to be in a professional environment with the people who work at 1 Step Prep. It was my family away from my family and that’s the kind of people you will work with when you join this school. They just all care for your own success. You will have to study hard and push yourself to the limits but remember, the investment you put into yourself says something about you! “You are ready for success”!!!!!! Best of luck to you! Good afternoon dear all in 1StepPrep Academy!
I want to shear with you my experience and impressions on your ATP-CTP course.
The first one is an excellent support from your management team (Alexis Anazco, Monika Blanco) while arranging my course including fast and proper responses to my mails despite of time zone differences. It was very important for me to get an answer at a time when yours business day was started and my one didn’t finished yet. All attachments with relative instructions were short, plane and well understood.
Thanks to all the instructors in the course: Bruce Saver, Henry Vasques, Joseph Munoz. The main things for me were real understanding that all people in the course are foreigners and not native speaking and it was taken into account, all the instructors have an outstanding feature to explain subjects in the simple for understanding way and attract your attention to key points.
As a pilot of course I liked the SIM part. I’ve really never seen such a modern convenient and fine equipped training SIM center like the Boeing center.
It was the very useful sessions despite of my actual experience thanks to my instructors Mr. Bruce Saver and Mr. Joseph Munoz.

I satisfied with the ATP CTP course.

This review will not do justice to the kind of work the guys at 1stepprep will do for you. I got my ATP with a 737 rating here, and the valuable information I learned got me through my oral, but it also formed a foundation for further orals. The study techniques they used really worked for me; They are always there to help when you have any questions. They were willing to work on days off to get through some of my paperwork so my training could go smoothly. I honestly can't say enough about them. Thank you very much.

These 14 days have been very fulfilling. I gained a lot of new knowledge in Bruce's theoretical classes in the first 5 days, and I scored 95 on the ATP-CTP, which I am very satisfied with. The subsequent simulator sessions were quite challenging, and I felt like SpongeBob absorbing knowledge continuously. I really like 1StepPrep Academy and hope it remains vibrant every day

I really want to say thanks 1StepPrep Joe, Blues, Henry, and all the staff at 1StepPrep. I had an amazing journey in Miami over the last few days and gained a lot of knowledge that I didn't have before. The 142 Academy truly amazed me; all the staff are really enthusiastic, and I can feel their passion for aviation and their jobs. Miami is a beautiful city that I really love, though I was a little confused in some places where no one spoke English, LOL. It's been almost 3 years since I last flew the B737, and I almost forgot all the procedures for the B737. However, the SIM training still taught me a lot of things that I can use in my airplane. I want to start this review from very important thing which is availability of examiners and instructors which is of core part of your training and many students neglect that and go for cheap package with big schools and end up spending more money .but 1step prep have dedicated team of instructor and examiners who are always there to help you and will go extra mile for that.

The best part is coordination among instructors regarding your progress in training. It is amazing they discuss and monitor your progress .I get calls from owner Joe and other senior instructors from time to time regarding my training. .

Even before I joined them their communication system was very effective as compared to other institutes .I received frequent guidance from them.

They understand your condition and the limited time and money you have and try their best to help you achieve your goal.

l can say with full confidence that this place is much better than other places where there is a big communication gap between students and the institute.

Office staff are also amazing. They help you with quick scheduling,online training material and other paperwork.

Friends do proper research before you join any place and don't go for just the cheapest deal .You can get scammed later or end up spending more or delay your training by many months.

This place is so fair they told me if l am not happy l can put a bad review so they can improve.

l have few suggestion for upcoming students

1 l recommend if you are expat traveling to USA for Faa exam try to take appointment date for exam in advance after you expected to finish ground classes to avoid last minute walk in appointment pressure.

2 Also, if you need any documents after training try to get them while you are in the USA .Otherwise it can cost you unnecessary expense of international courier.

3 prefer to go with your partner in type rating as it will save your cost and give you better coordination with your known partner.

Friends l will definitely recommend this place to you and always do your own research dont go to flashy advertisements or big names.

If you face any problem in 1SPA they are always there to help you and they always train you to proficiency and dont sell certificates .

I am humbled and grateful beyond measure to have achieved my A320 rating this Christmas with 1StepPrep.

Training with Joe was incredible! When I had a problem or understanding a maneuver; Joe would say “we will fix this in five minutes” and guess what? it was fixed in five minutes or less!

Ground school with Juan Dominguez was the best ground school I have ever had the pleasure of attending! Juan is the most knowledgeable A320 pilot I have ever meet!

Diego followed up, almost on a daily basis with what he or the
1 StepPrep staff can do to answer questions and or to accommodate our successful progress forward.

The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed

I successfully passed my right type rating at a LLC on the 320 with the help of 1stepprep. The material is phenomenal. Joe was able to explain systems in a better way than most instructors that were captains on the Airbus at my company. Without 1stepprep, I’m not sure I would have had such confidence and a thorough understanding of the systems. Joe made learning fun and put me at ease watching his videos. I recently completed the Upgrade course on the A320 with 1StepPrep and have to take my hat off to the team. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructors demonstrated great flexibility to focus extra on the areas that was important to me. However, as we all know, it's the book that graduates and the rock solid focus on the details from the admin-team culminated in my ATP licence, on time-on target. Thank you!

I've been training here for four weeks with amazing peoples “1stepprep”. It was hard because the pandemic started and 3 years waiting aviation industry back to normal. Fisrt sim was so bad lol 😂 scanning , forgot IR stuff feel like back to PPL sp

Going through a fast paced 121 initial training program can be a daunting task to say the least. without a doubt Joe and the great instructors at 1 step Prep gave me the needed clarity and information on exactly what to focus on. Everything from the oral exam / systems to the sim prep videos. It was a great experience and made training so much more manageable with the help of the program.

I did my B737 type rating at this training center. The entire process of signing up was effortless, thanks to the hard work of the office staff that kept me updated every step of the way. I must highlight the talented instructors that work at this place. My training experience was excellent from my ground instructor Capt. Henry Vasquez to my Simulator instructor Capt. Enrique Cubeiro. It is with great pleasure to have received instructions from such experienced instructors. I did my upgrade course of A320, it was outstanding in every way. They helped me throughout the process since the very beginning with the documents. Also, the study material was an excellent aid in order to approve the exam. And finally the ground and simulator instruction were extremely high standard training, instructors were very well prepared and know how to teach and cover all aspects of the course.
