Star Island Resort & Club

This review is for a 1BR in building 22. Full kitchen with dishwasher. The king bed was comfortable. Decent size covered balcony with ceiling fan. This property is lovely. Excellent amenities. Very safe, there is a guard shack you have to pass thru to get on property. I would not use their laundry facilities, it was a fiasco as 2 of the 3 washers did not drain or spin.

Our experience here has been 10/10! This resort is beautiful. Lots of tropical scenery, pool is phenomenal, food is great, always activity’s going on/ golfing and tennis. Room was clean, comfortable and did not disappoint! We will definitely be coming back to this beautiful resort!! Recommend it highly to anyone and the staff are great and welcoming. If you are planning a trip to Kissimmee this is your place to go!! Close to all amenities!

Just a quick weekend getaway, this place was just what we were looking for. The room was nice with the jacuzzi tub...wish there was someplace like it in Jacksonville. The location is great for anyone that doesn't mind a little drive to the attractions but have EVERY food option on the main street to the resort. We are actually going back with the kids next month.

We stayed here a couple times and enjoyed each stay. The staff was very accommodating when I mentioned my husband had problem with stairs. They were polite and helpful. We had the 2 bedroom deluxe the only complaint is that the second bedroom only has double beds. They should consider putting in queen beds when remodeling. The doubles bed are very tight for 2 larger adults. The 2 bedroom deluxe would be far more comfortable with queen beds. The units have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended the resort.

Been Wyndham owners since 2013 and the original deed was purchased for Star Island. We never actually stayed on the property until Mar 2024. We were pleasantly surprised. Rooms are very nice and lots of activity options for the entire family. Gave the location 4 stars as it can get very busy in that area and traffic can be a challenge. If you want your vacation to just be on the property or visit one of the theme parks nearby, Star Island is a great option.

I stayed here with friends here for about 5 nights. The buildings looked older, and so did the inside of the rooms, but they were still nice. My room was on the 1st floor next to the elevators.
We heard people who walked by each time and when they used the vending machine outside - but It wasn't horribly loud.

The playground by the pool and minigolf for the kids was very cute and nicely taken care of!
The pool and facilities near the bar were very nice. Not that crowded, and I was surprised based on the size of the place.
The only issues I dealt with during my stay was- My friend found 3 bugs in our shower, but no more after that anywhere else in our room.
One of our guest rooms had a water leak under the floor- which drenched the carpet, and it was just soaked a few feet away from the bed. But we called, and someone came and fixed the issue and left a fan to help dry it up! They were very apologetic and nice.
Lastly, we wanted to use the tennis court right outside our room through our back door. We didn't know where to find rackets- so we called the front desk and asked. She said-

If you want to use the tennis courts. You need to bring your own equipment.

Im not sure if it says that on their website where you booked your rooms, but we had no clue.

We stayed for one night for a cheer comp and what we got for the price was a great deal. We had a one bedroom villa with a pull out sofa in the living room. There was a full kitchen with a stove. The master suite had a whirlpool tub a walk in shower. The girls enjoyed the amenities. We were close to everything. Will definitely stay here again! The only issue was the website said they hold $100 for incidentals but it was $200. Other than that the staff was very professional everyone looked very professional and clean.

I just stayed a couple of nights it was amazing! Beautiful clean rooms. They had several pools and hot tub. There is a gift shop and place to order food. They have two bars. There's a game room and gym. They also have a spa. They were playing bingo upstairs that looked fun. I really enjoyed this place. I am booking it again for my birthday.

We just got back home from staying here for 7 nights. We stayed in building 19 in a lockout unit and we have a great time. I want to list some pros and cons for the place because I want to lay it all out there so everyone understands what they are getting.

Cons:
The appliances and furnishings are a bit outdated. The sinks and tubs are the old beige look and just looked 90's or something. Not a big deal though.

When we walked in, it did have the old house type smell to it. Again not a big big deal.
The shower head in the big unit does not spray water out very good which bothered me.

Pros:
There was a ton of room in the lockout. My family of 5 had tons of room. In one room it was a king suite with a full kitchen, living room with pull out sofa bed, and bedroom with a king bed, giant Jacuzzi tub and huge walk in shower. The smaller connected unit has 2 full size beds and a pull out sofa bed.

Resort had tons of activities. Putt putt, arcade, heated pool, tennis courts, and more .

The resort is about 3 miles to Disney or so. Very close to everything including restaurants galore.

NO BUGS!!!! I saw some reviews about bugs after I booked. I checked everywhere and I never saw the slightest sign of bugs.

The rooms were very clean with plenty of towels and toiletries.

The beds were very comfortable and there plenty of pillows!

To conclude, for the price you pay to stay here, you have to overlook the minor cons that you may run into. I highly recommend this place especially for the price

This is my honest review, yes the rooms are a lil dated BUT, the price is awesome‼ You’ll definitely get your money’s worth. Took my daughter and her friends here for a whole weekend . There was enough space here for everyone . The pool was wonderful and the amenities. Definitely would. Book again

We liked the hotel but a few things were some concerns. We felt the linens we not very clean * Sheets, Blankets* also towels weren't replenished unless we asked for them and then wanted to charge for everyday clean towels. The tub and shower also was not very clean. Took them a bit to bring items to the room. The jacuzzi tub did not work. The air would only let us go down to 70 degrees. Other than the room the rest of the hotel amd staff were very nice. Parking was a bit of an issue as well.

Our experience at Star Island was great. The room was everything with the Jacuzzi tub in master bedroom. The service was a little slow when you called for something you were missing out of your room. It was also ants in our kitchen so we did not stay the last day and was refunded our money back. I would still give them another chance

I don't think I've ever been happier with a hotel room for the money. The room was immaculate and exactly as advertised. The jacuzzi tub worked perfectly,l with lots of hit water, the bed was comfy, the couch and living room furniture were comfy, the kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, glasses and utensils. Big newish 65(or 55, didn't measure) tv. The resort grounds were beautiful, pool was nice, kids play area was large and new, mini golf course looked quite tranquil and nice as well. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Still can't get over what a bargain this place was over a week later.

We've been coming here for 4 years now and really appreciate this resort for being fun, family friendly, and clean/safe. We always look forward to checking in and hate to leave. The food is great and the pool area is a blast, and we really appreciate all if the extra activities they offer such as mini golf. This is perfect for families and couples and they have different rooms to choose from based on your needs and budget. We will always vacation here since it's close to disney and because of how enjoyable it is. Definitely try this place out!

Hidden gem in Kissimmee❣ karaoke and bingo every night. Game room for the kids and a awesome gym. Would definitely come back. Very reasonable rates.

This place was amazing to go to, best family Florida vacation resort we've been to. 1 room could split into 2 rooms between a set of doors in the same spot, without ever leaving the main room and having to use another keypad! Rooms were clean, comfortable, and overall one of the best resorts to stay at in the Orlando area.

Really nice resort. Great rooms. We also liked visiting the lake behind the property to check on the Alligators and Turtles. Sadly, we used the fitness centre daily and it was really good, although we still gained weight with TGI Fridays within walking distance!

My family and I visit this location while on vacation last week. We had a great experience. We arrived early and they were able to check us in our rooms early. We really appreciate that service from the team at the front desk. Thanks. I highly recommend this resort. Enjoy! God Bless!

Beautiful property, great amenities. Bathroom could use an update but very clean and comfortable. Close to everything but quiet. 24 security and gated entry made me feel safe traveling alone.

I don’t normally write reviews unless it’s a good or bad experience.. I have to say I was super skeptical because of the reviews I read prior to arriving , I took the risk and I’m so glad that we did . We’re from New Jersey so there’s not a lot of these around , We leave tomorrow and I have to say our experience was amazing , from the outside to the inside this resort is beautiful . Everything is clean , our room was clean everyone was so responsive from the manager to the bartender Diana :) .. for the price we could not at all complain . Thank you guys for making this such an amazing experience! * Disclaimer ! Raccoons are everywhere at night 😭 *
