Lucky Dog OTR

Stopped here on a Saturday night looking for something to eat that was original while visiting the city of Cincinnati.

Hate to be that dude but the food was ok, nothing memorable. It's the perfect place to hit up on the strip after a night of drinking to sober up.

I don't know who the woman was working the register, I think she was the owner, whoever she was, she had incredible people skills. She was so clever, witty, and full of life. Not a single customer left without feeling special after interacting with her. More than the food, she is the big attraction of this place!

Great stop for a quick bite in OTR. I got a 4-way (Chili Cheese Spaghetti Beans). Scarfed it down so fast that I forgot to take a pic of it.

Suffice it to say it was good and hit the spot. It was also cheap. They also serve deli sandwiches. It's set up to order, get your food fast and go - not much room to dine in, but they do have a bench.

The food was good, very close to skyline but they are actually open hours people want to eat food, unlike the downtown skylines

Lucky Dog is really one of the only places to get Cincinnati style chili in OTR. Luckily it’s really good! Very comparable in taste and texture to Skyline. I really like how they have a variety of chili items, like walking tacos! Lucky Dog is in a really convenient location and their hours are great too - just don’t expect to eat there as they are take-out only.

Friendly staff; great food! The Cincinnati style chili is right on the mark, hitting all the right notes, but tasting more home-made than the big chains. Chili salad is incredible with a ton of chili and cheese, as well as fresh greens, tomatoes, etc. Price can't be beat. Can't recommend this place enough.

Ordered late night on a Saturday from Uber Eats and it was sealed PERFECTLY I felt safe enough to eat it. I loved my food! Definitely ordering against

Double Deckers: Great. Best thing to get here besides the coneys.

Wraps: Good [ratio of veggies to protein off. Get Double Decker instead]

Milkshakes: Excellent. Honestly one of my favorites now.

This was the first time trying this spot. I assume it is family owned. Anyway, the saff was very nice. My order came up rather quickly. I can say the food was delicious, but I was shocked that the chilli dogs are child size. I originally ordered one but was quickly advised I should get two. Boy was he right. They're about the size of Lunchable hot dogs! Even with being small, everything was reasonably priced.

Found this place a couple weeks ago and have already been there 3 times. It's so good! For years I haven't been able to get my cheese coney fix because Skyline and Goldstar upset my stomach something awful. The chili here is great. Friendly staff and good prices. My new go to spot for whenever I get an itch for some Cincinnati chili. Will have to try their double deckers in the future.

Edit: Continue to love this place and the food. The owners of this spot are lovely people too. Die hard fan here! Their double deckers and wraps are also delicious!

Delicious double Dekker sandwich and super friendly service! I also had a chili cheese sandwich and it was Cincinnati-worthy for sure.

As a gigantic Skyline fanboy, I make a concerted effort to try all the chili places around Cincinnati. This place is right at home among the ranks of the local greats like Skyline and Dixie. As perfect as the classic cheese coney gets in my opinion. Usually when I try a new chili spot, I find myself enjoying it but just wishing it was skyline - not here! A+ on the chili, definitely a little heavier on the spices than most places, which really makes it shine.

Move over Skyline, this place is awesome! Captures the epitome of Cincinnati chili as well as offering plenty of other options like wraps and desserts! The coneys are the best I’ve ever had and the service was incredibly fast and friendly! I stopped in early in the evening for dinner for a 3 way and returned late late at night for coneys because I needed more! They were slammed but within minutes I was through the line and eating a delicious meal! Would recommend to anyone at anytime! A gem in OTR that all in Cincy should try!

So freaking amazing and up late. Tons of Cincy food, they have wraps, coneys, 3/4/5 ways, corn dogs, tots, shakes, walking tacos with different chip options, cool salada and ALL so cheap and affordable. Super nice people too. Cannot recommend enough !!

Absolutely love this place! I have to eat it minimum once a week and for all the options in downtown Cincinnati where I work that is saying a TON. My coworkers all tag along and eat with me and they all love it as well. Very friendly staff and excellent double deckers for a good price

Super small, clean eatery (no sitting area except a waiting bench, so does it still count as a restaurant?). Staff very friendly, food was amazing and super affordable. Loved my visit.

Great tasting chili! I had a 4 way and cheese coney, my wife had a 3 way and hot mett with kraut and chili. Everything was very tasty and I look forward to having again!

The owners of this establishment are a pure blessing. The place is super neat and clean on the inside too. Service is quick and they also have some delicious deserts so make sure to check those out. Thanks Lucky Dog! I can’t wait for my next coney.

Cincinnati style Coney's are great. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Very small inside and they only offer carryout

This is the best chili parlor in town.

It is the way Cincy chili is meant to be in there. Family run and pricing is on point!
