Mr. Shane did an outstanding job on an FDCPA case that I needed help with, that had a timeline of a few days to file when I contacted him. After purchasing a used vehicle in August of 2021, which died week later, despite assurances from the dealer direct and their own service examination (of which they never gave a copy), Steve took the case when no else would (because the friend I bought it for wasn't hurt when it died, he'd stopped off and it wouldn't turn back on).

We took it to 2 mechanics who both confirmed the engine was corroded, and filled with sludge, and was always going to die, it was just a matter of time. The dealer refused to take responsibility and did everything they could to delay, including filing motions at the last minute, ignoring calls/emails. When they finally made a settlement offer, it was for less than what we asked, and when we countered, they pushed arbitration, for which they were obligated to pay, but took their time about it, causing the case to be extended to March 2023. (The pandemic and my falling ill didn't help either...)

They made the offer again, but only after they were to be billed $25K for court costs. We accepted this time, as we would get the money back I'd spent on the car, and fighting them.

Mere words can't begin to compensate Steve for the work he put in. We weren’t the most ideal clients, but he was there for us when no one else was, and we will be forever grateful (and a bit wiser in future purchases). It didn’t turn out the exactly the way we hoped, but he was able to get a resolution that we can move forward from.

My biggest regret is that we won’t go to court, so I can shake his hand in person. He is a credit to his profession; a shining example of fairness, integrity, and honor, in an otherwise dishonorable field, and would recommend him any day!

Steven Shane can present an abrasive personality which is a good thing when representing you in a lawsuit. I had to settle an identity theft financial problem which, years after its resolution, had the account balance after the settlement agreement sold to a collection agency.
