On 9/20/23 I had a colonoscopy at Dr. Knopp's office. I was treated so well by every single person involved in this experience. I cannot say enough about how easy they all made this for me. Dr. Knopp is the best! He is so concerned, so attentive and explained everything so well. If you need a colonoscopy, I suggest to see him. Even the solution he prescribed that I drank the night before wasn't bad. Thank you Dr. Knopp and all your staff for everything you do. 100% for you ALL.

My aunt, Emma Stinnett, saw Dr Knopp for a GI bleed and he was awesome. Many doctors tend to not be compassionate with elderly patients but Dr Knopp was so good with her.
He explained everything to her, he showed her pictures of the bleed when he found it and after he stopped the bleed she did great. She was in her 80s last time she saw him. She was happy to have him for her GI doctor and was so proud that he was also a DO and she thought that was great and so did I. She was 10 days short of being 87 when she passed from congestive heart failure.
I go to the same office, I got assigned to Dr Schindler and I have zero complaints about him. My aunt always wanted me to change to Dr Knopp and if I had any issues at all with Dr Schindler I would.

I had an upper scope done last week. After reading some of the negative reviews, I was pretty nervous, but my experience was fantastic. Dr. Knopp was polite, straightforward, and his staff were all super-friendly and seemed very competent. It's one of the most positive doctor's visits I have ever had. Thanks again, everyone!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Knopp for 3 years now. He has always taken his time with me at every appointment and has always talked to me personally after each procedure I have ever had.
He’s very personable and listens to all your concerns and will do everything he can to fix any issues you make have. Highly recommend this Doctor.

I have been seeing Dr Knopp for close to a year if not exactly. He is a tremendous Dr and really listens to your needs and is very easy to talk to. I also wanted to mention a nurse by the name Olivia at his surgical office, she made me fell really comfortable and was very attentive. I specifically talk about her bc out of all the nurses scrambling about she seemed to actually care. And from personal experience in the medical field it is truly rare to actually find a Dr let alone a nurse that likes there job and makes an effort to be a good, caring care giver. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!!

Not sure why this doctor has two five star reviews. I was not impressed with his demeanor with me at all. It has been awhile, but I don't recall much interaction and having he feeling he was more interested in keeping his appointments down to 10 minutes per patient than anything else. I had an endoscopic procedure, and it has been several years ago, but all communication with his office was initiated on my part following that procedure. It was as though he did what was minimally required of him and he wasn't interested in reaching out or following up with me about anything after that procedure. When I needed my prescription for gastroenteritis refilled, it was through his office staff communicating with him. When I got the results of my endoscopic procedure, including hiatial hernia findings, it was through the mail. I wasn't given any plan of action or special diet - nothing. I felt like I was just a number that had slipped through the cracks, and I have never once heard back from his office for any followup appointments. My PCP continued the doubled prescription for Prevacid and I've continued to take it for the past several years. I will not be making another appointment with this doctor who is just too detached for my comfort level.

He is great but his office manager is a horrible person who likes to play God with your information and doesn't respond to medical records requests even when it was the doctor asking her to do so.. screaming at me about how important she is compared to the patients.. very sad.. my husband is dying and she thinks it is her responsibility to judge us and interfere with our lives knowing that his time is short.. horrible..

Dismissive, not thorough, rude. I saw Dr. Knopp over 4 years ago and yes this review is overdue but the time was needed to understand what was really happening and receive proper treatment.

I saw Dr. Knopp when I was in college. I had severe symptoms of chest pain which my primary care doctor felt was GI. Dr. Knopp felt the symptoms were related to GERD and started me on PPI such as omeprazole and other medications. I changed my diet and did all the lifestyle changes. During this time I was also overcoming serious depression and anxiety from high school and being treated by a therapist. On more than one occasion Dr. Knopp suggested my symptoms were related to my mental health and when finally after months I had no relief (I was still having stabbing chest pain attacks multiple times a week that would last throughout the night) at my last appointment with him he pointed to my self harm scars and said “maybe you should do something about that”. I did not go back to him.

I continued to have severe pain throughout college and PA school, I was young and providers like Dr. Knopp made me doubt my symptoms and how I felt. I finally was in so much pain I went to another GI doctor, she believed me. She ran labs Dr. Knopp did not, checking for autoimmune conditions, celiacs, IBD, and allergies. She did a HIDA scan and found my gallbladder was not functioning. I had it removed and this will be the first year I have been pain free since I was 16, I am now 25. And as a medical provider myself now I can say Dr. Knopp did not treat me well, he was not thorough in his assessment and stopped after exploring one diagnosis. Referred chest pain is a symptom of gallbladder issues and should have been considered. And never should you ever stereotype your patients or speak to anyone the way I was spoken to regardless of the fact that I was 18, a female, a college student, etc. Providers can say I don’t know, and he should have so I could’ve gone forward in my care and found someone who could help me. Rather than blaming an unassociated illness (for which I was receiving treatment and my psychiatrist and therapist felt were not related to my severe pain) and causing me to doubt myself and lose trust in medical providers.

I saw him for years and I don’t know how this doctor can have good reviews. At first, he was nice to me on a surface level. Then when my case became more complicated, the mask came off. He was impatient with me when he was the on call doctor. He also kept insisting I take a medicine I continuously told him caused me pain. He tried to prescribe a medicine one isn’t supposed to take if they have a history of blood clots, which I do. I’m not sure how much he pays attention to his patients’ medical history. He eventually grew tired of me and dumped me on another doctor.
If you go to that office, ask for Dr. Schindler. I never saw him as a patient, but he was nicer to me in one on call phone call than Knopp ever was.
