Hambone

This is a very quaint and hidden gem in Mandeville. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The food is great and the server is very knowledgeable. Food came out hot and fast. Very flavorful we had the smoked wings , fried chicken with grits and the Steak and eggs.

Fried Chicken - Great , I loved the crispy skin I added a side of the grits and the grits were great very creamy and flavorful.
Steak and Eggs were great not a big fan of over easy eggs and the sauce for the creamed collards was very salty but not a bad plate wish I had a bit more Steak on it.

Husband and I had an appointment in Mandeville so we stopped in for lunch. So good! I got the tomato sandwich and loved it but, my favorites were the deviled eggs and the strawberry biscuit dessert. Chef/Owner Lauren was able to take time our from her important work in the kitchen to chat with us. What a lovely experience. Will be sure to visit again whenever we find ourselves on this side of the lake.

This establishment is very cozy and unassuming. I didn’t think twice when I ordered to chicken sandwich, boudin, and gumbo. Just grabbing a quick bite before I went to church. The chicken sandwich blew my mind. Perfect flavor!!! I ran to the kitchen to see who the little black lady was who prepared. To my surprise, the Chef was a Seth Rodgen look alike. This man is like a good scientist. There is something mystical about his food. So much flavor!!! I don’t even like Gumbo but his with the potato salad changed my life. I hope this place keeps this Chef because if he hits LA, New York, or Chicago….he will be a very wealthy man. The food was simple the best I’ve ever had and I’m close to 50.

We love Hambone. It’s definitely nice people working there. The building is cute on the inside, but the outside seating is the bigger plus. There’s a good amount of vegetarian options for the area, and fun specials on the regular. I always get the chip and dip - it’s like a lima bean ‘hummus’ but there’s something about it, plus the plantain chips 🤌🏻 also pictured: remy sandwich, mac and cheese, tomato sandwich, cinnamon roll, “chocolate bar” special (incredible), cocktail flight, and a satsuma salad special (whipped feta, char-pickled cauliflower, buttermilk citronette… so good)

One of the very best restaurants in the area. Would highly recommend! I came for lunch and all plates were truly amazing. The atmosphere is great and the attention outstanding.

Luke & Marci have curated a truly magical dining experience! From opening the door to what feels like a cottage to the simplistic use of wood and Mason jars, everything just works! This is a place that chooses to focus on the cuisine quality, vs frills that typically come along with this level of dining.

I could go on but, I could never encapsulate how wonderful this place really is. A true Mandeville gem. Go, now!

Great place for a fantastic lunch! Wonderful atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Family and kid friendly. Sit inside or outside and watch the kids play in fenced in yard. Walking distance from the lake and a block from the Mandeville Farmers Market. I had the shrimp poboy (not fried)! Talk about delicious!! The fried pork chop poboy was amazing if you like fried food. Nice cozy southern charm restaurant to sit and enjoy a nice meal!

Food is always great there. Sandwiches and gambo are some of the best things in the menu. Specially the Remi and the chicken sandwich. I wish they would bring back the cinnamon rolls.

One of the best tomato sandwiches I've ever had. Love the atmosphere, the staff was charming, and I'm excited to go back again.

A simple but delicious menu; portions are a little smaller than restaurants nearby, but they will satisfy your taste buds 🙂

My friends and I have been trying to come here once a month since Hambone never disappoints! At this point, we have tried almost everything on the menu, and everything has been fantastic. From their chickpea hummus to that mind-blowing fried green tomato sandwich, their dishes guarantee to be a party in your mouth and an awakening of your senses. The textures and combination of flavors have thoroughly impressed all of us die-hard foodies. Service is always excellent as well as their kid and dog-friendly atmosphere. The only problem is that sometimes parking is a premium, and you will need to circle a few rides. Or park down the street and walk a few blocks. But all that is worth it because you will consuming all the calories.

North Shore, you have impressed me so much with the deliciousness hidden on this side of the lake. And Hambone is the heart of that adventure to myself and 8 of my brunch friends. We happily drive across the Causeway because we know it ends with a full belly and happy memories at Hambone.

Stopped by for lunch, on a whim. Great food, friendly staff, charming atmosphere. I can't believe I've never been here before today. Do yourself a favor and try it, I promise you'll love it. Bravo!!!

This place was amazing eith a wonderful local atmosphere and fantastic food. Everything was an experience from the people we met, the unique drinks we tried, and the artful yet delicious country food.

Good food with a cozy atmosphere. We got the gumbo and the chicken biscuit. The biscuit was delicious and the gumbo was good but a tad salty in my opinion. They have a nice large outdoor area with plenty of space between tables.

every aspect of the dining experience was amazing. the hand crafted cocktails are first class. the chip and dip cornucopia of flavors will blow you away. and our entrees were delectable. do yourself a favor and visit in the evening. the staff is fantastic.

This place is amazing!! Everything is outstanding. The gumbo over their house potato salad is sublime. That is often my go to pick me up. Affordable and great service.

One the best fried chickens you'll eat. And their biscuits are made fresh every day. Love this place and their atmosphere!

Fantastic spot in Mandeville. Love the large outdoor space, but even better were the very friendly staff and the food. Everyone we interacted with was outgoing. Tomato sandwich was fire. Would definitely return.
