Always an enjoyable park to experience nature in the hustle bustle of Slidell. There's some great views if you have a boat of any sort and a launch suitable for pretty well anything you could reasonably wish to fit in a bayou. There's frequent events, and it's always beautifully dressed around the winter holiday season.

Christmas At Heritage Park Slidell, LA is a fun, free (donations for Boy’s/Girl’s Club accepted), family event with a beautiful wooden Nativity, kiddie rides, “ice skating”, food and craft vendors, decorated trees, many lights and photo ops and free parking!! A must visit!

Launched a bayou cruise from Heritage Park dock. We had an amazing day on the bayous with our cruise captain Danny 'Slick' Laurant. So much to see on those waterways...so beautiful and serene.

Who needs Christmas in the oaks when Slidell La has Christmas displays everywhere. The park is a great place to go. There are kiddie rides. Local venders serving hot food and arts and crafts. Christmas displays and photos with Santa. When you leave the park , cross the highway to the city hall and enjoy more Christmas displays.

Very cute park, good location. Security cameras and security driving around so it feels very safe. We loved walking along the water and track. Great place to spend time on a pretty day :)

Nice place for outside activities or just hanging out. Has a pretty cool playground for the kids, boat launch, and its large area to explore around. It would be nice if the City of Slidell would put more effort into the detailing of landscape. Making it a little more appealing, but overall I enjoy this place.

I love this park. It holds many social events and the Christmas decorations are beautiful. The sunset over the bayou is stunning. They recently redid the children's play area and my grandson loved it. My brother and I are there almost every day. We walk there and walk the walkways. There are ducks that live there also. There is a memorial with a piece of the Twin Towers there. It has turned into a nightly pray spot for my brother and myself. Most of the people you run into are very friendly. The others are usually on the phone lol

I've been coming here for many years. I've seen it go through a lot of changes. It has a piece of the World Trade Center as a memorial. The carved frog has rotted out and is now barely recognizable. There are a lot of events that take place here. I walk to the park nearly every day. I get to see all events as they prepare for them. There is a playground for kids. There is a boat launch for the bayou. A stage for the many events. Has a great Christmas festival. Movie night at the park. But I love just walking around the park nearly every day and looking at the ducks.

First time here. Super clean, many things to see down the bayou on way to here. Very nice and fritchie park has an annual crawfish fest that you used to be able to pay $25 for all you can eat all day boiled crawfish. Don't know if they still do this due to Covid however if you are ever in Slidell, great place to launch or dock your boat.

Had a nice time here in Slidell Louisiana at the annual Crab Festival. Came down with my brother the real brother Sir Charles Jones d king of Southern Soul. There was a mixed diversity crowd of people white black Hispanic. This is what people need to do more of and there was no violence whatsoever had a wonderful time. I highly recommend that you bring your kids out to have fun and share culture with other nationalities this was so wonderful I'm proud of America for this black white brown we all got down.

Despite the park's name referencing old dixie, it's a beautiful place to enjoy with family and friends. Though changing the name would be an olive branch to people of color.
