One of Slidell's best kept secrets. Always clean and well maintained. There is a nice sized playground in the front for the smaller children. The Gym and ball fields are towards the back. But my favorite by far are the dog friendly trails both paved and wooded alike. Literally miles of them. With nice comfortable benches every couple hundred yards.

I would give five stars but the running trail at the back has a low spot that has been a flooding and mud issue for the ten years I have lived here. I get that it costs money to fix but with the number of support staff it seems this should not be such a difficult thing to fix. I’m pretty confident I could do it with just the small amount of equipment on my trailer.

UPDATE: two weeks later, September 2019, I went for a run and the low spot is fixed!!! Very happy about that. Not sure if my review had anything to do with it, but I’m totally taking credit. 🙂. Thanks Slidell!

Awesome Park great childhood memories. They have baseball fields, BBQ pits, a volleyball net with sand, and an awesome pathway through the woods. The bathrooms are clean, and the play area has infants to adults which are appropriately separated by age. There is something for everyone there with mature trees and a lot of shade.

There is great playground equipment, baseball fields, walking trails, bathrooms and plenty of parking. There are also picnic benches and places to have birthday parties. There is a lot of shade at this Park which great for the summer. This Park does have a lot of nature so look for ant hills and watch for ground wasps (these are usually at the edge of the Park towards the very back where not too many go.

Lots of playground options! Something for every kid from toddler to teen! Everyone's favorite seems to be the merry-go-round, which can make moms cringe to watch. It's fun to bring a box and slide down the hill. I can't wait to explore more of the trail s behind the park.

This is my favorite park in Slidell. Has a friendly feel to it. There's a really nice walking trail around it. Well maintained and clean. Always feels safe, even after dark.

Best park in Slidell imo, there are plenty of trees over the playground so babies can play without getting scalded on the slides!

We come regularly for baseball practice, and we enjoy the walking trail, different varieties of playground equipment, sand volleyball court, and the baseball fields.

This is a great park. I went here several times with my niece and ran along the nature trail with my partner constantly. The trail section by the park and field is a bit hard to run on, but it's nothing compared to running uphill on a mountain side. After that section, the trail smooths out and is a great place to learn how to skateboard!

Nice park with awesome bike walking path.
Signs say closed but elderly guy who mans office never seems to leave building once inside. Nor do workers that drive around take signs down? They closed park after hurricane Ida so people had place to camp.
Hurricane Ida has passed months ago..

Amazing park to bring the kids or bring the dogs for a nice long walk on the cemented trail through the woods. Great play area for young kids to play. Open baseball fields and 2 big open areas for any recreational events with family or neighborhood sports. Lots of picnic tables and over hangs to get out of the sun with the family.

About a 40 minute walking trail. Good hiking area.

It's a very small park, but it seems pretty popular. Just a simple little trail with well worn "unofficial" paths leading off of it. We'll have to explore some of those next time. Friendly people walking their dogs or with their kids, etc. A very relaxing place.

The park is huge, is always clean, and there are plenty of other kids to play with. It also has baseball fields. An indoor basketball court, and the best thing is the trail they built that starts at the park, goes through the woods, and all the way past a few neighborhoods. I happen to live on a dead end with a chain link fence and can see the trail, see the people taking advantage of exercising on it, and it's convenient for my husband and I to use to take our 15 month old daughter on a walk and to the park. It's also very safe!

This park is great! There are several playgrounds, some in shade and others not. Good for babies and toddlers and up! Amazing stop off of the interstate for road trippers. It's a bit inconvenient to get to and from but it's worth it.

It is great kids playing on the playground swinging and sliding down the slides ! Great park and also has a walk/bike path in the back that has plenty of nature squirrels and rabbits running around with benches to stop and rest on which goes all the way to the Rouses Supermarket on Gause Boulevard by the TA truck stop probably a little over a mile one way awesome place for exercising!!!
