Meredith was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious! Had the potato gnocchi and then braised brussel sprouts. You cannot go wrong with the flavor and the passion put in the food. Service is top notch! The menu is for those who have a more refined pallet for something other than a burger or pizza

There are a few things that are important to me at a restaurant. First, a delightful cocktail or a very nice glass of wine-Avenue does not disappoint. I love a white bordeaux or burgundy and they have it. Occasionally I will have a cocktail and Michael takes great pride in his cocktail list.
Second, a consistent menu that I know that if I ordered it before and liked it, I will again. This time I had the flounder and it was delicious and the leftovers were so good!
Third, great service. Their waitstaff is excellent-their people are sincerely nice and take pride in what they do. Love them!
Some reviews mentioned price-all really good restaurants are not going to be cheap. In comparison to others in Clayton that are this caliber charge more than Avenue.
Avenue is definitely one of our favorites!

This restaurant is the best place I’ve ever been because of the amazing steak and elite peppercorn sauce. Also the service was great, the bartender was funny and made me a special cocktail, the waiters were kind and helpful (shout out to Michael, Meredith, Makesh, Vicky and Claudia ) for making our night amazing. As well as all this the chef even came out to check that we liked it.

Chef Bryan is the real deal. He is deeply schooled in classical French technique and devoted to local sourcing and seasonal menus. Above all, Chef is humble and sincerely devoted to providing outstanding hospitality. Micheal behind the bar is a sort of sorcerer. His seasonal cocktails are inventive and expertly crafted.

Omgg our server was amazing. The bartender was fantastic. The footloose was delicious. We went for lunch on cino de mayo. The margaritas were devine. So fresh. Also the other cocktails were delicious. I mean everything from the soup to desert was just great great. We will be back.

Outstanding sandwiches with a touch of elegance. In door and outdoor dining, although outdoor is noisy right now due to construction. The menu has reasonable depth and many old favorites with a twist.

The food was great for a Valentine's set menu. The service was fantastic. Jeanine made our night!

Michael was our server and he is so great! I couldn’t decide between the steak frites or the half pound burger. He suggested the short ribs: delicious! In total we had the short ribs, Caesar salad with smoke salmon, and chocolate mousse with the house made vanilla ice cream. All of it was delicious. We can’t decide which is better: the attentive service, the food, or the calming atmosphere. So if you ever need dinner, be sure to step off the street and into Avenue.

We were there during Clayton Restaurant week. Each of us had different specials. Everything was delicious and one was truly innovative. The desserts were extraordinary. I asked if it would be on the regular menu, and they said they would consider it. The chef is excellent. The courtyard was a beautiful place to eat. They were short handed, but just about everyone is these days

Decided to come here for Clayton Restaurant Week and oh was it worth it. Immediately greeted by the friendliest staff in all of St. Louis. Had a wonderful 3 course dinner (the cinnamon ice cream was my favorite part). Multiple people checking on us and making sure we were having an enjoyable experience. Will be back in the future!

This was my 1st time dining here! It was so scrumptious I ate every bite. The occasion was even better, I will most certainly dine there again❤

Seriously, the BEST portobello sandwich and onion soup I have ever eaten. Ever. This was my first time eating here and I will be making Avenue my go to lunch when I eat out, and I plan I trying breakfast and dinner there. The restaurant itself is very nice with extremely friendly staff. Make sure to make a reservation if dining in! They are super busy!

An excellent menu with great variety. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert was excellent. The server was very knowledgeable and professional giving great recommendations and keeping the flow very well timed. The ambience was perfect and while busy, the nose level was not overwhelming allowing for conversation. A creative menu paired with creative drinks made this experience unique and enjoyable.

The Rainbow Trout was incredible - I’ve never had such a flavorful fish dish like it! Service is also great and everyone does their part. 10/10 recommend!!

Avenue is one of my few "go-to" St Louis restaurants. The food is delicious, fresh, and consistent. The servers and bartenders are friendly, knowledgable and attentive (without being overbearing). Brian, the chef and owner, is warm, engaging and creates dishes that are particularly tasty considering I have several food allergies. Just go! It's incredible.

We got takeout from here last night and even bringing it home was outstanding. I had the steak frites. Cooked to perfection, the sauce was addictive. Green beans (fresh) actually tasted good. Usually restaurants can’t perfect the seasoning and tenderness of fresh beans and they were on point. They kept the fries from getting soggy in a white paper bag and the ketchup and aioli served with them were also out of this world (shoutout Evie). 10/10 would recommend.

Food was wonderful, drinks were strong (and tasted AMAZING), & the staff was absolutely perfect. Will definitely be back!!!
