Such a great experience from
The moment we step in the restaurant. We let them know we were out of town and they let us sample some burnt ends. Then they recommended a meat platter which was such a perfect way to same all their meats; which by the way all were amazing. Thanks for the friendly service and delicious food. Highly recommended and would love to go back when in town.

This place was awesome! We did the Meat Daddy platters because we just wanted to try everything!! We also got a butter pie for dessert. Honestly, one Meat Daddy is plenty to share, but we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, so we were just extra. My favorite meat on the platter had to have been the brisket, but the ribs were right there next to it. Highly recommend this for St Louis BBQ and good smoked meat. The atmosphere is eclectic and matches the National Blues Museum literally attached to it. Try all the sauces and pick your favorite!

Amazing BBQ! Visiting on a very busy weekend and they were sold out twice before we could get in! Last day decided to arrive right when they opened and already a line! Worth. The. Wait.

Hubs and I shared the three meat combo with pulled pork, smoked turkey and brisket, with fries and Cole slaw and a side of pork belly hush puppies. All three meats were moist and delicious- no need for sauce on any of them. I tried their honey badger sauce and it was really good. Sides were fine but not what we came for.

Service was set up like a cafeteria line and really efficient. Seat yourself and local sodas. Overall a great experience!

Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! Well worth the weight in my opinion. And though it was packed when we first entered meaning the line was out the door, by the time we actually ordered our food tables had opened up and we were able to set comfortably with our group of 8 people.

Came here early at 10:55, right before they open and already two people in front of the line. So glad we came early because the line is long later. Favorites are the pulled pork, ribs and the brisket. Didn’t care for the turkey. Big portions and great value. Love the variety of sauces.

We’re from Georgia and stopped by during our trip to try some BBQ. The food at this place is absolutely amazing!! The brisket is the best I’ve ever had. It was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. I would come back just for the brisket. There are about 6 different sauces on each table, and they were all delicious as well. The staff were extremely friendly and the customer service was top notch. 10/10. I HIGHLY recommend

Key points: Food and price. The quality is amazing and it is def more for what you pay. The service is similar to a to-go restaurant, but this one has plenty of seat and the atmosphere ask you to stay. The soft drink selection is as good as it gets. I love the concept and def will be back for more.

I checked this place out online before our trip and was really eager to check it out. Our hotel room overlooked their smokers in a cargo type container and could smell them prepping everything for the following day. Got the full meat platter and was not disappointed. Enjoyed the service and the atmosphere. Apparently they have security to help with people coming in off the street to ask for money. While during our visit they didn't have any security, the staff handled a couple of situations very professionally.

Walk in and order with a menu right above your head. This chipotle like restaurant will give you a wide selection of pork brisket beef whatever barbeque you want they have it.
The waiters are nice and the food is awesome. There is alot of cool art around and paintings on the wall. It is very chill and when i went it wasn't very loud. They have a wide variety of drinks and food. They don't have many desserts but if you so get the desserts they are amazing. You can order really fast and the service is great. All of the waiters and staff are there if you need them and they are great to have it you need recommendations.

This place was great! Love the way they let you customize the meal. The guys working in the kitchen were SO COOL. Easy to talk to, answering all questions with a great attitude. It was very hot in there so I felt bad for them, they had to be miserable, but they were polite and nice in spite of that. We loved every item we ordered and appreciated the menu options offering a little taste of everything! We came up from Northeast Arkansas and we will be back.

Our lunch at Sugar Fire BBQ in St. Louis was an absolute treat! As we journeyed from Branson MO to Kentucky, we stumbled upon this gem, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip.

I opted for the pulled pork and brisket combo, and let me tell you, it was a match made in BBQ heaven! The flavors were out of this world, and the tenderness of the meat was simply melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My wife went with the pulled pork paired with the delectable potato salad, and she couldn't stop raving about how much she enjoyed every mouthful.

The atmosphere at Sugar Fire BBQ was delightful, creating the perfect ambiance for savoring a finger-licking BBQ feast. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Their genuine warmth added an extra layer of joy to the dining experience.

Having run my own BBQ restaurant in the past, I know the dedication and craftsmanship that goes into creating exceptional BBQ. I have to say, Sugar Fire BBQ truly nailed it! On a scale of 1 to 10, they effortlessly scored a solid 10 in my book.

If you're in St. Louis and craving some seriously outstanding BBQ, look no further than Sugar Fire BBQ. This place has everything you need for an authentic and unforgettable BBQ experience. From the mouthwatering dishes to the top-notch customer service and warm welcoming atmosphere, it's a full package of BBQ bliss.

I can't recommend this place enough, and if you find yourself passing through the area, do yourself a favor and make a stop at Sugar Fire BBQ. It's a 5-star experience all around, and you won't be disappointed!

We ate SugarFire 2x while we were in the Lou. First night was 30 min before sellout. The portions were huge. Sides were good but nothing that just blew me away. The next time we were 1st in line. Portions were kinda measly. Completely different sides and well again they were just ok. Nothing over the top. Both times the drinks in fountain machine were empty. The 2nd trip they just opened and were filled with cleaning water from the night before and I almost drank it.

The burnt ends were top notch.
The ribs were just meh
The turkey was great.
Brisket was good but nothing special.
Pork was so tender it was awesome too.

The real winner is the sauces tho man. That coffee is on a different level!!

This place is off the chain, I want to move to St Louis 😂😂😂😂. Coming back here with my adult kids during Christmas week. Going to make it a family tradition. This place is by far across the nation the best smoked meats I have ever had. And I really don't care for meat so that's saying Alot. Definitely coming back. And I love the tray to eat off of, so much to share!

Over the last two years I've had BBQ in Memphis, Texas, Kansas City and now St. Louis. This place is right up there with the best I've tried! The turkey was amazing and likely the best turkey I've ever had. Highly recommend stopping in here!

SUGARFIRE

I selected Burnt Ends and Brisket w/ baked beans ( 2 color beans light and dark in a sweet savory sauce) and potato salad ( big chunks of potato in mayonnaise base with diced celery and a touch of mustard) as my sides with red beans and rice as an add on and PICKLES my fave were complimentary and a non- alcoholic Pina Colada to wash it all down.

The service from the guys behind the counter serving was friendly, funny welcoming and helpful. I explained it was my first time and I recieved a sample of burnt ends (slightly fatty end pieces of the brisket cut in cubes) SUPER FLAVORFUL 💯 when I questioned were they fatty. It solidified my decision instantly, further down the line I sampled the red beans and rice ( spicy and loaded with sausage, peppers and seasonings.... I even detected cumin and really liked it in the beans despite ever having that before and upon suggestion made it an add on side. SO SO happy I did. Of the six options of BBQ sauce I used the Honey Badger and
St.Louie Sweet sauce DELICIOUS 😋 I taste tested the Carolina Mustard and Coffee BBQ sauces but opted out of the Texas Hot and horseradish based White BBQ sauce.

The brisket was tender and tasty, the atmosphere is cheery and casual cafeteria style seating. Overall I truly enjoyed my meal and felt it was a great value for the experience and offerings.

There was a slight debate between trying this establishment and the com"P"etitor and SUGARFIRE fit my flavor and tastes. I was very satisfied.

Absolutely spot on atmosphere and service. The line by the cutters and servers was perfect. The guy with all the smoked meats was perfectly efficient with the gorgeous juicy fork tender meats, a pitch perfect call-out of the orders, and the half sheet pan service was amazing.

The three meat combo with the smoked fried artichokes was more than enough to feed two adults, especially with the sides and a slab of cornbread with honey butter. The cornbread was sweet, dense, and perfect. I found the ribs a little dry, but the brisket was legendary, and the pulled pork was good enough.

The brigade of sauces at the table were varied, but nearly all sweet.

The decor was amazing from the murals of local music and history to the bucking bull with brisket it's what's for dinner plastered on the side to the skeleton on the other to the flowers under his ringed nose. Great music, fun vibes.

My only regret was not grabbing a slice of pie when I could, as I'm sure either the key lime or the sugarfire pie would have been amazing.

The burnt ends were the highlight, the brisket was flavorful and juicy, the turkey was delicious but a little on the dry side, the pork was good, ribs were flavorful. Sides- Squash vegetables were a delightful surprise on the menu. The beans were delicious. Hush puppies with mint jelly were very tasty. Sauce- Coffee BBQ was the favorite but the rest of the sauce options were very good. Will go again.

I’m a flight attendant and will pick up a St Louis trip any time I can just so I can eat at Sugarfire on Washington Street. I love collard greens and have eaten them many times in many places. Sugarfire on Washington has the BEST I have ever eaten. Perfect amount of seasonings and spice. In addition, the employees are hard working, so knowledgeable about the menu (with perfect recommendations) and clearly care about the food they serve and the service they provide. Love both the Coffee BBQ and the White Horseradish BBQ sauces. Have had and can vouch for the smoked salmon and pulled pork. Can’t wait to come back and try the chicken, ribs and brisket. Shoutout to Trish and GiGi from “Collard Greens Kim”!
