Bicycles of Kirkwood

This is the best Bicycle store in entire St. Louis. It is a small family owned business and the owner is super helpful. I had to replace my electric scooter’s (like a lime bike) rear tire and tube. I tried so many bicycle store and most of them were just trying to get more from me telling every kind of story they can. But, the owner here was very to the point. His prices were not only reasonable but he was very helpful and most importantly an honest person. The atmosphere of the shop is very good. I like how his mother was in the counter and was very kind and helpful. I will always come here for all my needs related to bicycle from now on and recommend everyone to give this place a try.

The owner Mike is a great guy. Very talented and caring about his customers. He fixed my shifting problem on gear slippage from the factory on my Letric Bike. OEM parts had defective chain and gear sprocket. After he fixed it, the bicycle is now running better than when it shipped to me. It's great to find an owner run shop that treats customers the old fashioned way, with concern and respect. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Bicylces of Kirkwood is a top-notch local bike shop run by top-notch people. I was in the middle of a ride through Kirkwood when I noticed a spoke on my rim had fully loosened. I passed this shop and asked if they could help me out. The owner immediately took my bike to the back, and 10 minutes later I was back riding. I can't say enough good things about the service I received!

Mike and his mom was truly wonderful! Mike was very honest from the beginning and was always taking time to answer every question. He was never in a rush and has a genuine personality. I highly recommend his shop. Printing is very honest as well and he breaks down the price for your understanding so you don’t get surprised. Overall very pleasant experience! Amazing bike shop with friendly owners and great personal service. We needed a new bike for our son and were overwhelmed with all of the options looking online. Bicycles of Kirkwood were able to help recommend a bike, set it up, and get us out the door within 30 minutes. We then brought our 3 bikes back to be maintenance and they did all of the work in 1 day. I can only recommend this great bike shop!

Took my bicycle in for repair and frankly I have never had a better experience. The work was performed with excellence. The people were absolutely gems. I just can not say enough about my experience. After taking my bike to Mike’s bike repair were they tried to charge me 165.00 for repairs I knew I didn’t need,I brought my bike here were I was told only thing I needed was a bike tuneup which he done for 60.00. They are very professional they keep me informed about everything. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

Best service. Mike's a kind and loving guy and his mom's a real sweetheart too. Never feel stupid leaving there like I do at some bike shops. Just continually excited to ride.

Loved walking into this bike shop. . So much better than a box store. I got the basket for my ebike I was looking for. So nice to find a shop that is still family owned. Reminds me when I was younger in my home town. We will be back. Great customer service. Give great lunch ideas. 😉😃

First of all, Mike and his mom are a pure pleasure to interact with. Both are so friendly, and Mike really knows his stuff.

I have a mountain bike that originally came with lousy derailleurs, so I had them replaced (by the shop that sold it to me) with Shimano. What a difference. But after a few years, they needed adjusting. I brought my bike here because I try to support local businesses, and am so glad that I did. Mike not only adjusted them, they shift smoother than when I frist had the Shimano deraileurs put on! So awesome.

I will be doing business, here, from now on.

It is always a pleasure to stop in! Very personable and friendly staff. Super knowledgeable and willing to help or trouble shoot. Also one of the best wheel builders in the area!

I went in yesterday to look at what he had and it seemed that he knew right off the bat what I'd be using the bike for. He fitted be for a bike and didn't try to sell me out of my price range. He will give you a lot of information, some you'll retain, and some if you're new to biking like me will fly over your head at first... It's ok, just ask him to clarify anything you need and he'll be happy to go over it again.

Do not be afraid to ask him questions, he knows his stuff and is very nice. The intimidation factor at this shop is absolutely zero. Those little mom and pop stores are the best. This one is a son and mom store, lol. Still the best though.

I went to the alpine shop first and I had one guy ask "you doing alright" I said "yeah" and he kinda just left... That's cool if you know what you're looking at I guess, but I didn't know what to ask. Bicycles of Kirkwood talks you through things so you know what questions to ask, huge difference and if you end up buying a bike here you will not regret anything because you will have gone through everything before to make sure you pick out the right bike for you.

This shop is, for sure, my go-to for bikes. Have fun biking!

Outstanding service- friendly and knowledgeable. Never tries to upsell you and zero pressure- also takes the time to answer questions and really cares about the customer, investing in long term relationships and the community. Highly recommend this place.

This is how people should be everywhere. I went in last Christmas to see about getting a bike for my 8 yr old daughter. When they found out she was still using training wheels on her old bike they advised me not to get her a new bike until she could ride without the training wheels. Otherwise it could be a total waste of money. So I didn't buy anything. Needless to say, I went straight back when it came time to get a bike for my son, and they helped us find a great bike, perfect for his tall (and growing) size and for how he'll be using it.
