Highly recommend! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable, especially on plants. Free parking is right outside the front door.

Woods is my favorite hardware and plant shop in town. I've been going there for years! They've guided me through plumbing emergencies, rescued me when I locked myself out of the house, counseled me on home projects and (most recently) saved my house plants.

Angie expertly helped me diagnose my sickly plant, repotted it and gave me practical advice on how to help my other plants thrive. She also helped me find pet-friendly and hardy plants to help cheer up my dreary cold windowsill.

Other reviews mentioned slightly higher prices than the big box stores. However, I've found most prices to be comparable or different by only a couple dollars at most. The plants are a great deal - with lots of variety and often much cheaper than the other shops in town.

Car was broken into overnight in the garage and there was glass everywhere and I had no window. I needed a tarp and duct tape to get home since it was snowing and very cold. Woods was around the corner. Went in teary eyed, the employees were very helpful and understanding. I was quickly taken to what I needed, got a hug, and sent on my way with well wishes. Great place!

I love this store. Amazingly well stocked with all the usual hardware stuff, plus useful household items and pet supplies. My favorite part - the garden section.
They have a great selection of tropical and seasonal plants, as well as tools, soil, and containers.
Angie and the rest of the staff will always take good care of you.

Friendly staff and a wide selection of items (its big, multiple stories). They offer a UPS access point for drop offs which went off without a hitch when I dropped a package off.

Always seem to have what I’m looking for and tons of things I didn’t even realize I needed... like spray paint in pretty much every color imaginable... or drain cleaner on par with napalm (and N-95 respirators to protect you while using it!)

This place is great! I contacted them online and got a prompt reply, not only that, but they went the extra mile to provide help with my purchase when I went to the store. 100% recommend!

This is a fantastic hardware store providing tremendous service and it is because of the great people that work the Lawney, Kate and Dillion. Thee inside offers great atmosphere and they have everything you would want. What is great and unique is the location right in down town Cincinnati. Definitely a 5 Star Store

This was my first visit, very nice atmosphere. Very pleasant and knowledgeable service. They have so much in this location.

After countless similar good experiences here over the last two years I finally decided to write a review since this last time they went above and beyond helping me assemble a project where I wanted to mount a large mannequin head to a wall with enough clearance to slip a VR headset on it. I had no idea how to do it but they engineered me a solution in 10-15 minutes for around $15, I thought it’d take a while to figure it out, pics included, thanks so much, I always come here when I have a tricky problem because the whole staff knows what they’re doing (and gives my 🐶 treats if I bring her)

I had a wonderful time at Woods Hardware! As soon as I walked in I was welcomed with smiles and help with anything I needed! I walked out so quick! Angie was a huge help in choosing the plant I wanted and helping me find another associate to assist me with finding other items! great experience!

The staff and management at this store are excellent. I shop here often and I am always treated with respect and courtesy. I’ve only once had an issue and the manager Mike went out of his way to quickly resolve it. Mike and his team truly care about making the hardware store experience pleasant and ensuring that customers feel valued and cared for. I didn’t know I could like a hardware store so much but here we are! Thank you for such consistently positive experiences. You make renovating a house a million times easier!

Today was my first time there after living downtown for 2 years I needed some odds and ends that I was going to order on line but my neighbor insisted to go to Woods which is 3 blocks away, so I did and it was so worth it! I was amazed- 1st at the size I had no clue! The place was packed but I was still quickly approached by Angie and she personally assisted me to every item on my list there was a few things I was unsure about so she gets a younger guy that works there to provide information during that time she assisted his customer then quickly switched back and we went to complete my list - it was the best Customer Service I've ever seen but was so impressive was the teamwork and just over all good vibe Not to mention the place is clean organized I've never seen a hardware store with so much character And the plants are amazing wow I will definitely be back

Great place full of great people. Every time I've visited I've recieved personal attention and great tips that help get the job done. Today, Angie showed me great kindness and brightened my whole spring with her great sense of humor. 10/5 stars.

Great place! Helpful folks, open 7 days per week. Only bummer us that they no longer carry Rice Crispies Treats.

Angie was super helpful in picking out my newest plant! Together, we found the healthiest prayer plant and gave me clear instructions on how to care for it. This is my hardware store of choice, not because it’s particularly close, but because the people and the prices are just that good.

I have never been so taken care of at a hardware store. Also, the store is like weirdly huge and very organized. So I walk in right, I see some plants and look up to a lady greeting me and asking me what I’m looking for. I say what I need she directs me downstairs and radios and a young man is put in charge of finding what I need. He shows me where the tool I need would be(it’s a square head alen wrench so it’s kinda weird to find) he takes me to two spots and when he can’t locate it he talks to a manager and we come to the conclusion they don’t have one(totally cool I was expecting this). So I tell him that’s alright and ask if he has any masking tape. He says upstairs and as I’m heading up I hear the manager radio up. Little lady looking for masking tape. I man greets me at the top of the stairs and shows me right to the tape. Literally most welcoming amazing customer service I have ever seen. Like I’m from Tennessee & Texas but southern hospitality has nothing on this place.

Great plant selection, responsible prices and kind staff!

I recently purchased a plant (Angie was the sales associate) and the store's atmosphere was pleasant and cheerful. Angie was an immense help with the selection and preparation of the plant I purchased!!!!
