Nice park to hike. Beautiful woodlands and meadows. Hiked early morning with quite the bird song for background noise. Very pleasant.

Nice park and well-maintained. It can be muddy if there is rain.

Excellent trail with varying levels of difficulty and environments ranging from riverside to swamp to field to steep climbs. Lots of wildlife. Lightly trafficked. Pet friendly.

Very cool Park within drivable distance from St Louis. Has nice hiking trails where you can find fossils and had good picknic sites.

Very peaceful place. Good for hiking, maybe for mountain biking. However, small parking.

Had fun relaxing in the creek. Very clean although you can tell it’s recently flooded and was muddy/sandy in places.

I had a great hike on the Flint Quarry trail. Lovely views, plenty of climbs and good rest points. The roads are narrow in and out, so watch out for traffic.

I love coming to West Tyson for hikes with my dog! The trails are nice and easy, some picturesque views, easy to park even when the parking lot is full, bathroom always clean and we'll maintained.

Rocky, hilly trails tucked away in a valley just off the interstate. Flush toilets are a big plus!

I want to rate this 1 star to keep people away, but it's easily my favorite place to hike in the immediate STL area

This is one of my favorite places to hike. No matter the time of year, this park is extremely gorgeous.

The trails are extremely long, and thus I have never completed one. There are a few areas that was tough to walk / hike.

A lot of cyclers consider this one of the hardest trails in the St Louis area to ride on.

There are few spots good for photography.

The parking lots are not the biggest, and this Parking can be tough on the weekends.

The lower half has some campground, a bathroom, and showers.

They allow horses on the trails, but I have never seen them. I do not think I would take one on this trail.

Chub Trail is great — 12.1 Miles with a decent elevation gain! Dog was about half dead though!!

This is a great park, where the natural beauty has been well preserved. There are several trails, of various lengths, to hike, and it has a nice reservable picnic pavilion, as well as other picnic areas scattered throughout the park. It's a great place to get away from it all, and relax.

The trails are excellent for hiking and biking. They are slightly technical and steep which gives the challenge that is hard to find in Missouri. All the trails connect to to the trails of the surrounding parks such as Lone Elk. Weather plays a large part in the conditions of the park. A heavy rain will make the trails very wet and slick, so be weary hitting it hard in the spring months.
The parking is small, so it can become slightly crowded in the warmer months. The trail heads can be hard to determine which is which, but they provide maps which eliminates all confusion.
