I'm here to tell you that Jared at Smart Buy has saved me from my life of severe anxiety stemming from my bad credit and the horrible cycle I was in of working my tail off and walking or taking the bus everywhere just to never have anything to show for it. My life completely changed for the better the day I met Jared. Not only did he help me get an amazing car but he had a great bankruptcy lawyer referral, very reasonable car insurance lined up, and a financial new beginning process that works just like he explained it would as long as I put in some effort to follow his advice. I go back every 3 to 6 months or so and review and receive new suggestions from him. Jared delivered on every magical word that came from his mouth and I am a customer for life and I'm sending him every person I know who wants an incredibly honest deal on a high quality newer car right away.
I never told him this but I walked into Smart Buy Auto that day hoping to get a "buy here pay here" car loan, with high interest and 2 payments a month. He could've sold me any car at any price and I would have said yes. BUT... He didn't, rather he did the opposite of take advantage of me and treated me like his brother and still does to this day. Please, save yourself a lot of time and anguish and just go talk to Jared. Fill out the credit application on the web site and he will call you and have you go in and Boom!!. Your life will change for the better just like mine has.

I have had bad experience after bad experience with car dealerships in general. The thing I hate the most is that they are friendly until they pull your credit and know they will have issues getting a deal for you. Not so with Smart Buy Auto. Jared is up front and honest with you. I had a chapter 7 and became of Markosian I had to file a chapter 13. Jared worked closely with me getting me into a reliable car. Other dealerships could only get me a car that was 2016-2017. Jared got me a 2019 and a 2020. His car selections may be limited but I never have had to replace parts on one of his cars after I bought it unless it was a maintenance part. He is trustworthy, honest, helps where he can, and gives great advice on building your credit back up. If I could give him 10 stars I would! I will be a return customer probably for as long as he is in business!!

I just purchased my second car from Jared. The first experience was so amazing that I flew from Dallas TX just to buy a car from him and turned around and drove the car back to Dallas. I absolutely love working with Jared and am extremely thankful for meeting him and all of his help. He makes a stressful, long, annoying process so easy and painless. He’s extremely honest and won’t sell you a car he isn’t 100% comfortable with. Both times I went in expecting to come out with a car I wasn’t in love with and was just settling on because I needed a car however both times I ended up with a car I absolutely love. Jared is so great at working with the banks to get you approved and will work hard to get you the lowest rate possible. You can tell he is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely wants to help you get into a car you will love and that will work for your family. I may live out of state but I won’t go anywhere else to buy a car. I will most definitely be back!!!

Great guy, great service. Transparent about the entire process. Working his credit program which most dealers do not offer. After hitting financial hardship Jared really went out of his way to help my family and I making sure we made the right decision. One thing I really like about him is he isn’t into pushing you into a vehicle you really cannot afford. There are so many dealers out there that will tell you “you can refinance in 3 or 6 months to lower the payment”. What they do not tell you is it most likely won’t lower that payment you were uncomfortable with in the first place. We left the dealership with a nice vehicle and not worrying about how we will make these payments in 4 months. If your in a financial bind or even if your not go to Jared. I cannot say enough good things about Jared & Smart Buys Auto! I went into this super reluctant and had a lot of anxiety over getting a car during bankruptcy. Jared was so helpful, informative and genuinely wanted the best for me in a car and helping rebuild my credit. I ended up with a way nicer car than I have ever had and feel great about my growth moving forward.

I was referred to Jared by my Bankruptcy Attorney. I was hesitant at first because of the distance I would have to travel in order to buy a car. I live in Provo and Ogden seemed like a long way to have to go. What if I couldn't get approved or what if I didn't like any of his cars? Jared was warm and inviting from the moment I spoke with him on the phone. I did the application on line and was approved before I even left Provo. I was impressed with his selection of inventory to choose from. I was even more impressed with his willing to share his knowledge about how credit repair works and then taking the time to counsel us in a step by step plan of effective credit repairing tips to help us get us into a prime rate quicker. Jared was open and honest about why or why not the cars I was looking at would be a good fit or not for my needs. He wasn't pushy and I never felt like I was being taken advantage of. He was very knowledgeable and understanding about my bankruptcy situation he was easy to talk to and I felt very confident in .my decision to buy a car from him. I love my new car and the 1 1/2 drive was well worth it. I not only got to drive away in a new car I also made a new friend who I feel 100% confident in referring my friends and family too.

I meant to write a review a long time ago but better late than never I guess. This is my second time buying a car from Smart Buy Auto and it is always such a great experience. So much so that I'm willing to drive an hour from Salt Lake just to buy a car from here rather than any other dealerships in Salt Lake City. Both times Jared has made the process of buying a car simple and painless. He gets all of our information ahead of time and we are usually in and out with a new car in an hour or so. I've never experienced that before EVER at another dealership. It's always at least a day long ordeal and so many hoops to jump through to get approved. We always get a great deal and something that works with our budget. Jared even helped us get approved for a car right after a bankruptcy. Wow! If your ever thinking of getting a car, Jared is the guy to go too! He is so friendly and works hard to get you into something! I just filed bankruptcy and needed a car ASAP! As a single mom with two kids I can’t afford to not have a car. Jared and I kept in touch and met a couple times, he helped me set up a credit plan to improve my credit and also got me into the most beautiful car, the nicest car I have ever owned or driven! I have never been approved for a car cause my credit was so terrible and Jared really worked to help me get into something good and reliable and my car payment is lower now for a much newer car with over 100,000 miles less than my previous car. It’s so unbelievable that he worked so hard to help me and my family. He worked so hard and he will never know how Truly grateful I am for him and all his hard work. Jared is the man! I was in a tight spot with my chapter 13 bankruptcy and getting a new car with certain stipulations. He did everything in his power and got me into a nice reliable car. I had some rough, rough credit and he managed to somehow get me into a cute new car with a great lender and good rates! I don't know how he managed to pull off someone helping me but it wasn't without hard work and networking, I'm sure. Jared just gained a customer for life. So our second time purchasing from Smart Buy Auto in Ogden. And for sure will not go to a dealership again. Jared works so hard to make things work. And is upfront and honest!!!! We had a lease end and wanted to purchase the vehicle the dealership I purchased it at and had been a customer for over 20 years would never get back to me and so I went to Jared. Even thou he didn’t sell me the lease he was able to buy it and then sell it back to me. None stressful deal, timely and so on point. He truly cares about his customers and is amazing! Jared is awesome!! This was my first car purchase so i was super nervous to buy especially from a smaller dealership which sometimes can be kinda shady... but Jared was super patient with me when I found that he had a car I wanted! and he gave me a great deal! Even after now that I've purchased the car I had a really small problem come up and he was willing to have me bring it in so he could fix it! So far so good the car runs great!
