Up Down Eatery and Coffeehouse

I would highly recommend Up Down over any “chain”. Our food (breakfast) was simply delicious. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere is perfect. We are just here for the MSU game so unfortunately we will not be able to become “regulars”. Hoping this post will inspire you to support a locally owned restaurant rather than a national chain.

One of the best places in Columbus! They are always super friendly and the food is always fresh and tastes great! It's our go to coffee and breakfast spot, but lunch is awesome too. Best Reuben Ive ever had.

My girlfriend and I loooove trying new places while traveling. We stopped by for lunch (twice) while staying at the Hyatt Place a few blocks down. Came in and was IMMEDIATELY greeted with warm energy and beautiful southern hospitality.

Octavia helped us place our orders with such a huge smile and a wonderful vibe.
Our second time coming back, we felt like family! She was like “hey y’alllll, so good to see you again!!” Hahaha.

I had the UpDown Wrap with Sweet Potato Fries, and my girlfriend had a Turkey Panini w/ Pepper-jack cheese, and fries as her side. Though we didn’t necessarily love *emphasis on love* our wrap/panini as they came, adding fries into them made them soooo much better. As well as some salt.

We also both had the Peach Mango smoothie (and our second time coming), I had a Peach Mango Strawberry smoothie.
1000% the BEST smoothie I’ve had in Columbus. McDonalds always breaks my heart with their smoothie machine “not working”— but these guys heal it right up.

Cant recommend this place enough!

Just finally checked out this gem a couple weeks ago! Absolutely delicious!! 10/10! We’ve been 3 times and everything has been delicious every time! We will never go back to Starbucks they can’t even compare!

We visit the area often for our son's Air Force events from out of state. Tried this place last time we were in town and loved it! The staff is friendly, the breakfast wraps are delicious, and the coffee was outstanding. Highly recommend Up Down to everyone reading this!

I am new to Columbus from California. The food here is amazing. I particularly like the day crew Neveah, Bozette and Matt. They give excellent top tier customer service.

We were looking for a tasty, inexpensive breakfast and got exactly that! The food was hot and fresh, and our order came out within a couple of minutes. Great option for families, our kids liked everything and the speedy service meant we were in and out in under thirty minutes. Will definitely come back next time we stay in Columbus for a MSU game!

The food was delicious and the folks who worked there were kind and personable! Wish I lived close enough to visit more often!

Great spot for coffee and breakfast. Great, friendly crew. Coffee is better than the chains.

Eat here often with a Navy friend of mine. We really enjoy being able to eat freshly cooked food and have a conversation with friends

A Jewel in the middle of Columbus. Went for brunch. Did not disappoint. Will return again and again!

This place is SO YUMMY. I’m a french fry fanatic (hence the pic) and the fries were to die for!! I also got the bbq bacon burger and that was super delicious. We went through the drive through and the service was great!

This place has great breakfast and everyone is always so nice. It is a breathe of fresh air in the "friendly city" to actually experience it. We will keep coming back! Also they offer a military discount which is nice.

We came here today for some coffee and was met at the cash register by Octavier and her happiness to help us was OUTSTANDING! Never have I had such a pleasant experience ordering coffee! She even made my coffee special for me since I am out of town visiting! If you are in this area and want coffee, skip all the other places in Columbus and visit Octavier!!!!! They have the BEST person greeting customers!
