Ruben's Fish and Steak House

First time visit on a Wednesday evening. They were short staffed and had several personal Christmas parties going on but the waiters and waitresses were on top of everything. I ordered the 16 oz large steak and had to bring half of it home with me. It was really good. Overall great 1st time experience.

Oh my! This place was not exaggerated. The customer service was superb! We ordered cat fish and fried shrimp. It was cooked to perfection and best of all, fresh. My husband orderd catfish and fried oyseters. He was in seafood heaven! Our son ordered the cheeseburger and fries. The burger was chargrilled! We see why this restaurant was rated the best for 2021 in the Mississippi and West Alabama Triangle!! We you are in the area stop by and eat this scrumptious authentic food of the region!!!!❤💯

As a family, we needed a place to dine with Southern hospitality. And this is where we found it.

Absolutely love this restaurant. The atmosphere us very relaxed with music playing at a reasonable level, a couple of tv's on with sports, and great food. The fried mushrooms here are the best I've ever had. Highly recommended.

Great service, I had the Oysters and Catfish , excellent. My wife had Whole Catfish. Great and friendly service. 5 Stars well worth the visit

I love this place for a far different reason then most my dad use to bring me here when I was a little girl. He’s passed away now but I want so very badly to go back at least one more time. ( I live in South Carolina now.) one of my fav memories from Ms

We ate here Saturday night. Our waitresses Crystal and Whitney were so attentive. The raw oysters were superb, the steak was cooked to perfection, the fried shrimp and cat fish were crisp and delicious, and the baked beans were awesome. Truly a great place. We will definitely be back.

All you can eat Catfish. What more do you want? Great service, great prices, and it's local! Their catfish was delicious, and the crew I was with devoured several pounds of it easily. Even when the kitchen was backed up with requests for Catfish, our waitress kept us updated with how long it was gonna be, and refilled your drink even if you'd just taken a small sip. Places like this are always fun and memorable, and I'm glad I found this one.

Really enjoy this place except steak prices gone to high so eat steak elsewhere. And don't like price of side salad.

Very BUSY and waited for a table for 2 about 45 minutes. Then waited for service and meal. We were there all total of 2 hour's. The catfish filets were hot, flaky and almost overcooked. Hushpuppies and baked potatoes were okay. The boiled SHRIMP was awesome.

Very casual spot on the river. Good view and, food was great and not expensive. Enjoyed the salad bar.

Went there for a Lions Club meeting. The steak and seafood were delicious.

I ordered the hamburger steak with gravy and onions for the first time and it was amazing!! Probably the best I’ve ever had! And the baked beans were perfect also! I will definitely be eating at Rubens again and also recommending this great food to others! Thank you so much for great service!

Food was amazing! Service was great. They did run out of crab legs but the Kitchen Manager Otis was very polite and got me something to replace them quickly.

We rarely go out without our kids and when we have, we have not found it to be pleasant with other restaurants around town. We have talked about trying out Rubens for quite sometime, but never been, until tonight. Due to flood and damage, we decided to support locally and take our money here. I was woohed!!! Wonderful! Pricey, but well worth it! I had steak and crab legs and both were delicious! I wish I had got more crab legs. Lol. Fried mushrooms, homemade and amazing! Our server Lucy never rushed us, which we loved! Her personality is delightful and will be back to ask for her section! We will definitely be back with the kids next week!!

Met my family there & some were from out of state we were a table of 14. Everyone said during the meal how good their food was. We also had very good service and everyone was friendly. Under new management and we still had good food and service!
